Objective To explore the relationship of urinary iodine level between 8-10 year-old children and adults under the same living conditions in coastal and mountain areas in Fujian Province.Methods Representative coastal and mountainous rural areas (Xindian Town Xiang'an District Xiamen City and Yongfu Town Zhangping District Longyan City) were selected as survey sites.Morning fasting urine samples from local 8-10 year-old children and their parents and a random urine sample in the morning from these children were collected.Urinary iodine was determined using the arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometric method (WS/T 107-2006).Results The median urinary iodine of fasting urine samples which were collected from 147 8-10 year-old children in coastal rural areas (71 boys and 76 girls) was 163.5 μg/L (boys 161.0 μg/L,girls 170.9 μg/L),and the median urinary iodine of random urine samples was 190.8 μg/L (boys 208.7 μg/L,girls 177.0 μg/L),and the difference was not statistically significant between boys and girls (Z =-0.376,-0.678,all P ＞ 0.05).The median urinary iodine of fasting urine samples which were collected from 116 8-10 year-old children in mountain rural areas (66 boys and 50 girls) was 171.8 μg/L (boys 169.5 μg/L,girls 173.8 μg/L),and the median urinary iodine of random urine samples was 210.8 μg/L (boys 233.2 μg/L,girls 203.4 μg/L),and the difference was not statistically significant between boys and girls (Z =-0.413,-0.881,all P ＞ 0.05).The median urinary iodine of random urine samples which were collected from 8-10 year-old children in mountain rural areas was significantly higher than that of the morning fasting urine samples (Z =-2.789,P ＜ 0.05).The median urinary iodine of children's fathers in coastal rural areas was 177.0 μg/L,and the median urinary iodine of their mothers was 181.7 μg/L.There was no significant difference between coastal rural children and their parents (Z =-0.387,-0.658,all P ＞ 0.05),and there was also no significant difference between fathers and mothers (Z =-0.014,P ＞ 0.05).The median urinary iodine of children's fathers in mountain rural areas was 227.3 μg/L,and the median urinary iodine of their mothers was 237.4 μg/L There was a significant difference between mountain rural children and their parents (Z =-4.176,-4.373,all P ＜ 0.05),and there was no significant difference between fathers and mothers (Z =-0.291,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Urinary iodine level of school-age children does not reflect the actual urinary iodine level of adults.There is a difference between urinary iodine level of random urine sample and morning fasting urine sample.Attention should be paid to this difference when monitoring iodine nutrition in population.

To establish a method for determination contents of schizandrin, tanshinone I, cryptotanshinone, tanshinone II (A) and schizandrin B in rongxin pills. The HPLC method was performed on an Agilent C18. The mobile phase was composed of methnol and water wish gradient elution. The flow rate was 1.0 mL x min(-1). The column temperature was 30 degrees C and the detection wavelength wash 240 nm. The linear of schizandrin, tanshinone I, cryptotanshinone, Tanshinone II (A) and schizandrin B were 3.000-48.00 (r = 1.000), 3.985-63.76 (r = 0.999 9), 6.370-101.9 (r = 1.000), 8.690-139.0 (r = 0.999 9), 1.700-27.20 mg x L(-1) (r = 0.999 9), respectively. The average recoveries were 98.44%, 100.3%, 99.29%, 99.07%, 98.42%, and RSDs were 0.61%, 1.1%, 0.52%, 0.72%, 0.97%. The method is convenient, accurate and has good precision. It can be used for determination of the preparation.

Objective To evaluate the influence of duration of laser irradiation on histomorphometric meas- urements in experimentally tenotomized and repaired rabbit Achilles tendons and to explore the best irradiation time. Methods A total of 20 male New Zealand rabbits aged 10-12 weeks were used and randomly divided into 4 groups:a control group and three experimental groups.All the animals underwent surgical excised and then repair of their Achillis tendon.The animals in the control group were then treated with sham laser irradiation,while those in the three experimental groups were treated with 10,20 and 30 minutes of He-Ne laser irradiation(632.8 nm, 18.9 mW)daily,respectively,for 14 days.On the 28th day after surgical operation,the animals were sacrificed and their Achilles tendons were sampled.HE stain and Van Geison stain were used to observe morphometric changes of tendons.The SDS-PAGE electrophoresis method and CS-930 photodensity scan instrument were employed to measure the content of typesⅠandⅢcollagen.Results it was shown that laser irradiation enhanced cell proliferation,cel- lular content,granulation tissue formation and collagen deposition in laser-treated tendons,especially in those irradia- ted for 20 minute daily,as compared to the control group.TypeⅠand typeⅢcollagen levels were significantly in- creased at the 28th day in the healing tendons and the ratio of collagenⅢtoⅠincreased in all the 3 experimental groups,and the increase of both collagen content and ratio of collagen typeⅢtoⅠwas significantly greater in those ir- radiated 20 minutes daily(P

Abstract? AlM: To explore the effect of Danshen injection iontophoresis combined with lumbrukinase on early patients with retinal vein occlusion ( RVO ) , and observe the prognosis to provide objective basis for clinical?METHODS: Eighty-two patients ( 117 eyes ) with early RVO were randomly selected in our hospital from January, 2011 to April, 2014, 41 cases (59 eyes) of control group treated with Lumbrokinase. Forty-one cases ( 58 eyes) of the observation group, treated with Danshen injection iontophoresis combined with lumbrokinase. The main indexes were the treatment effect, visual acuity and retinal circulation time.?RESULTS: The total effective rate of the observation group was 85. 4% ( 35/41 ), more than that of control group 68. 3% ( 28/41 ), the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The invalid rate of the observation group was 14. 6% (6/41), lower than that of the control group 31. 7% ( 13/41 ), the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The vision of the observation group 4. 8 ~5. 0 was 53. 7% (22/41), more than that of control group 41. 5% ( 17/41 ), the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0. 05 ). The restore vision of the observation group 4. 3 ~ 4. 7 was 31. 7% (13/41), lower than that of the control group 41. 5% ( 17/41 ), the difference was statistically significant ( P<0. 05 ). After treatment, retinal circulation time of two groups were lower than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). Objective Using Beckman assay kit to establish women thyroid function indicators reference interval during pregnancy in Fujian Province.Methods Two iodine sufficient areas were selected in Fujian randomly,and the women who did pregnancy test in local hospital were investigated.A questionnaire study and physical examination were conducted and women's serum samples were collected to detect the thyroid function [thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH),free triiodothyronine (FT3),free thyroxine (FT4),total triiodothyronine (TT3),and total thyroxine (TT4)] using Beckman chemiluminescence analyzer access-2 and assay kit.Reference interval was shown with median (M) and P2.5-P97.5.At the same time,the newly established reference interval was used to evaluate the thyroid function of 830 pregnant women.Result A total of 455 pregnant women were detected (early,middle and late pregnancies were 146,157 and 152,respectively).Most of the thyroid function indexes presented skewed distribution.The thyroid function index reference intervals in early,middle and late pregnancies were TSH:0.80 (0.02-2.96),1.13 (0.07-3.56),1.18 (0.09-3.76) mU/L;FT3:4.28 (3.30-5.76),3.74 (2.78-4.83),3.63 (2.81-4.56) pmol/L;FT4:11.78 (8.66-19.68),9.34 (7.03-12.76),8.55 (6.20-11.73) pmol/L;TT3:1.91 (1.09-2.95),2.00 (0.90-2.96),1.98 (0.91-3.02) nmol/L;and T4:123.00 (79.62-194.85),115.42 (58.78-175.85),117.43 (58.29-192.00) nmol/L.The thyroid dysfunction rate diag,nosed by our reference interval was 22.0％ (183/830),whilch was lower than 28.0％ (232/830) diagnosed by American Thyroid Association (ATA) reference interval (x2 =7.714,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Women thyroid function indicators reference interval during pregnancy in Fujian Province is successfully established.The study shows that each area and laboratory should establish the thyroid hormone reference interval of pregnant women for diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease.

The clinical efficacy and safety of auricular acupuncture (AA) for treatment of primary insomnia was evaluated. After a comprehensive retrieval in domestic and foreign databases, literatures were strictly screened and Revman 5.2 software was applied to perform a Meta-analysis on eligible randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The evidence quality was assessed with GRADE profiler 3.6 software. As a result, 8 articles were included involving 894 patients. Compared among AA and sham AA, placebo AA, blank control, there was significant difference in Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) [WMD = -3.48, 95% CI (-3.96, -3.00)], sleep latency LWMD = -10.14, 95% CI (-17.16, -3.12)] and sleep awakening times [WMD = -9.98, 95% CI (-1.10,-0.48)]. Compared between AA and western medication, there was significant difference in PSQI [WMD = -3.62, 95% CI (-4.59, -2.65)]. The evidence quality was moderate in AA vs. sham AA, placebo AA or blank control, while that of the rest was extremely low. No reports of adverse events were described in all studies. In conclusion, for the treatment of primary insomnia, AA could effectively improve sleep quality, but due to the low evidence quality, cautious attitude should be taken on this conclusion, and clinical trials with large sample and high quality were needed in the further.

Aim To study the effects of cycle arrest and molecular mechanism in human leukemia HL-60 cells induced by diallyl disulfide ( DADS ) . Methods Cell count, colony formation in soft agar experiments and flow cytometry analysis were employed to observe the DADS-induced cell growth inhibition and the effect of cycle arrest in HL-60 cells. The expressions of Chk1/2 and its downstream element in HL-60 cells were detected by Western blot. Results Cell count revealed that population doubling time increased to 35. 03 h and 71. 82 h, respectively, from 19. 14 h in HL-60 cells treated with 60 and 120 μmol·L-1 DADS ( P<0. 05 ) . Colony formation in soft agar experiments showed that colony formation inhibition rate of HL-60 cells exposed to 30, 60, 90 and 120μmol·L-1 DADS increased to 35. 06%, 62. 10%, 93. 79% and 99. 35%, respectively ( P<0. 05 ) . Flow cytometry a-nalysis exhibited that HL-60 cells treated with 60 and 120 μmol · L-1 DADS for 24 h and 48 h arrested in G2/M phase in a concentration-and time-dependent manner ( P <0. 05 ) . Western blot disclosed that the expression of p-Chk1 increased in a time-dependent manner ( P <0. 05 ); however, Chk1, Chk2 and p-Chk2 were not changed in HL-60 cells treated with 60μmol·L-1 DADS (P >0. 05). The expression of Cdc25C, CyclinB1 and CDK1 decreased after treated with 60 μmol·L-1 DADS in a time-dependent manner ( P<0. 05 ) , but the expression of 14-3-3 protein did not change ( P>0. 05 ) . Conclusion DADS can in-hibit the proliferation of HL-60 cells, and induce G2/M arrest through Chk1/Cdc25 C/CyclinB1/CDK1 path-way.

The operation performance of membrane nitrification bioreactor to treat ammonia-containing wastewater as well as the capabilities of separation and filtration of polypropylene membrane modules were tested. The removal efficiency of ammonia was kept higher than 95% when the hydraulic retention time was set at 1 day, the influent concentration was increased up to 80 mmol (NH4+ -N) x L(-1) and the volume loading rate was increased up to 1.12 kg (NH4+ -N) x m(-3) x d(-1). The biomass in the reactor was accumulated from 5 g x L(-1) to 10 g x L(-1) within 50 days, which indicated that polypropylene membrane modules were efficient in retaining biomass. The biomass attached to the membrane also contributed to the conversion of ammonia and nitrite. When the hydraulic pressure was lower than 80cm, the increase of hydraulic pressure improved the permeation of membrane. However, when the hydraulic pressure was beyond 80cm, the increase of hydraulic pressure did not significantly improve the permeation of membrane. The permeate flux was the highest 2.51 (L x m (-2) x h(-1)) but the resistance was the lowest (2.63 x 10(-5)) m(-1) when the hydraulic pressure was about 20 cm. The results showed that the membrane nitrification bioreactor could be run normally without extra energy input.
