4.A study on CT values and GFAP expression in the experimental cerebral infarction of rats

Objective The CT values and glial fibrillary acidic Drotein (GFAP) expression changes within 24 hours in the cerebral infarction of rats were observed in order to evaluate the time of infarction indirectly. Methods The animal models of cerebral infarction due to the embolism of middle cerebral arteries were replicated reference to Longa’s thread embolism method. The rats with cerebral infarction in right hemisphere and without cerebral infarction in left cerebral hemisphere were scanned with CT at different time after cerebral infarction,then the CT values were measured and their differences were calculated. At the same time,the GFAP expression changes were detected by immunohistochemical technique (SP method). Results The infarction focuses were observed in all rats in 6 hours group. The differences of the CT values in the infarction hemisphere (right side in brain) and non-infarction (left side in brain) hemisphere had in linear relationship,and the GFAP expression also related to the time of infarction to certain degree. Conclusion Cerebral infarction due to embolism of blood vessel could be diagnosed at least 6 hours after middle cerebral artery occlusion. The time of cerebral infarction could be inferred by the difference of CT values between the infarction and non-infarction hemispheres and the changes of GFAP expression.
6.Correlation between PAK1 gene polymorphism and prognosis of endocrine therapy for breast cancer

Objective To investigate the correlation between p21-actived kinase 1(PAK1) gene polymorphism and prognosis of endocrine therapy for breast cancer. Methods Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism was employed to analyze the genotype of PAK1 gene rs2298793 T→C polymorphism and rs2844327 C→T polymorphism of 105 patients with breast cancer accepting endocrine therapy. Prognostic factors such as age, state of menses, magnitude of tumor, pathological type, condition of operation, clinical stage, estrogen receptor, progesteron receptor, Her-2 and endocrine therapy drug were comprehensively considered, and Cox model was employed to analyze the relation of PAK1 genotype with the time-to-tumor progression (TTP). 8.Surgical effect of dysphagia in patients with bulbar myasthenia gravis

To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 42 patients at our department with bulbar myasthenia gravis.They underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic extended thymectomy (VATET) from May 2003 to August 2010.Another 42 patients treated with medications alone were selected as controls.Compared with the control group (4.32 ± 0.23),postoperative dysphagia scores improved significantly in patients undergoing VATET(9.21 ±0.41).And so did the dysphagia assessment classification (P <0.05).Thus VATET could effectively and definitely relieve dysphagia in patients with bulbar myasthenia gravis.
9.Determination of Deoxynivalenol in Four Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicines by LC-MS-MS

Objective:To develop a method for determining deoxynivalenol in four kinds of traditional Chinese herbal medicines. Methods:After being extracted by water, purified by an immunoaffinity column, deoxynivalenol was analyzed by LC-MS-MS. Results:The calibration curve was linear within the range of 2-50 ng·ml-1 for deoxynivalenol. The recovery was 68. 7%-88. 3%. Conclusion:The method is simple, sensitive and accurate in the determination of deoxynivalenol in Semen Ziziphi Spinosae, Semen Sojae Praepara-tum, Semen Coicis and Fructus Psoraleae.
