Objective To investigate the clilic effects of the compound danshen diwan in menopause women with ST changes and angina.Methods56 menopause women with ST changes and angina were randomly divided into two groups,a controlled group(n=28)with base medicine treatment and a observed group(n=28)with the compound danshen diwan.The change of vasodilation endothelium functon and symptom relief were oberved before and after treatment in all patients.ResultsVasodilation endothelium functon were improved markedly in the observed group while the controlled group had no significantly changes;Meanwhile,the clinic relief rates of the observed group was markedly superor to that of controlled group.ConclusionThe compound danshen diwan would have a positive effect in menopause women with ST changes and angina.
3.Study on the Production of Ergosterol Using Corn Straw Hydrolyzates Fermentation

The ergosterols were produced from corn straw hydrolysates fermented by ergosterol yeast,which was obtained from protoplast electrofusion.The effects on the yield of ergosterol were studied in the condition of shaker,such as initial sugar concentration,nitrogen source,pH value and fermentation time.The technical conditions were optimized according to the DPS center-united experimental design principles and the method of response surface analysis with four factors and three levels.The results indicated that the four factors had significant correlation to ergosterol accumulation.The biomass and the ergosterol content could be up to 8.67g/L and 2.37% respectively after cultivated for 32h under optimal technical condition.The structure of ergosterol crystal was characterized by UV,IR and SEM.A new approach of biomass source application was presented.
4.Spectroscopic characteristics of novel Psidium meroterpenoids isolated from guava leaves.

Recently, novel Psidium meroterpenoids were reported in the guava leaves. According to careful analysis of the spectral data of literatures, the spectroscopic characteristics and biosynthetic pathway of Psidium meroterpenoids were summarized in this paper. The results showed that Psidium meroterpenoids had distinct spectroscopic features and reasonable biosynthetic routines, however the number order of carbon atoms was not consistent in the reported literatures. It was concluded that Psidium meroterpenoids were the characteristic chemical constituents of Psidium guajava Linn.

5.125I brachytherapy combined with chemotherapy for patients with inoperable stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer

Objective To assess the therapeutic effect of radioactive seed 125I brachytherapy combined with GP chemotherapy regimen (gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2, cisplatin 75 mg/m2) for inoperabale stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Thirty-nine documented inoperable stage Ⅲ NSCLC patients, enrolled between January 2005 and June 2008 for the study group, were treated with the combination of 125I brachytherapy and GP regimen. The brachytherapy methods were conducted according to TPS and each patient was treated under those patients were treated with standard GP regimen. Chest CT scans were performed every three months post-procedurally, until disease progression or recurrence. The follow-up time was up to twenty four months after treatment. In the control group, equal amount of Ⅲ stage NSCLC patients were treated with standard GP regimen alone. Chi-square test and survival analysis with Kaplan-Meier and Log-rank were used to compare the differences of recent (3 months after therapy)efficiency, survival rate, survival time between two groups. Results The re-cent effective rates of the study group (71.8%, 28/39) and control group (61.5%, 24/39) were not statistical different (χ2=0.93, P>0.05), yet the tumor CR rates in two groups showed significant disparity (χ2=4.48, P<0.05). The one-year survival rates of the study group and the control were 79.5% (31/39), 66.7%(26/39) respectively, with no significant difference (χ2=1.57, P>0.05). However, singificant differences (χ2=4.07, 4.63,both P<0.05) were found in 2-year survival rate and median survival time, with 41.0% (16/39) vs 23.1% (9/39) and 18.9±2.7 months vs 14.2±0.7 months. Conclusions 125I brachytherapy combined with GP regimen chemotherapy could be an effective treatment method and could improve the tumor CR rate and survival rate for patients with inoperable stage Ⅲ NSCLC.
6.The effect of tetramethylpyrazine on the pharmacokinetics of intragastrically administered cyclosporine A in rats.

AIMTo investigate the possible effect of tetramethylpyrazine (TMP), an active ingredient of a commonly used Chinese herb, on the pharmacokinetics of cyclosporine A (CsA) by intragastric administration in rats.
METHODSForty male Sprague-Dawley rats were equally divided into four groups by randomized block design according to weight. On the first day, after each fasting rat was intragastrically administered CsA (10 mg x kg(-1)), blood samples (0.2 - 0.25 mL) were collected from the tail vein at 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36 and 48 h. From day 4 to day 8, each group began to undergo different pretreatments with intragastric administration of water, verapamil (Ver), low and high dose TMP, separately. On day 9, each group intragastrically co-administered CsA (10 mg x kg(-1)) and different pretreatment compounds mentioned above, then blood samples were collected according to the schedule of the first day. The whole blood concentration of CsA was determined by HPLC. Main pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated and compared by statistic analysis.
RESULTSIn the group of water pretreated and co-administrated with CsA, no significantly different pharmacokinetic parameters of CsA were found. After Ver pretreatment and co-administration with CsA, AUC(0-48 h) and C(max) were increased significantly (P < 0.01 and P < 0.05); T(1/2) beta and CL were markedly prolonged and decreased (P < 0.05); T(max) and V were not apparently influenced. After low dose TMP pretreatment and co-administration with CsA, there was no significant difference in the pharmacokinetic parameters of CsA, in spite of the increasing trends of AUC(0-48 h) and C(max). After high dose TMP pretreatment and co-administration with CsA, AUC(0-48 h) and C(max) of CsA were increased significantly (P < 0.01), but there was no significant change in other parameters.
CONCLUSIONIt was indicated that the high dose of TMP could apparently increase the intragastric absorption extent of CsA, while almost had no effect on its elimination process.

7.Influence of pitavastatin on vascular endothelial function in young and middle-aged patients with hyperlipidemia complicated carotid plaques

Objective: To explore therapeutic effect of pitavastatin on young and middle-aged patients with hyperlipidemia complicated carotid plaques and its influence on vascular endothelial function. Methods: A total of 126 young and middle-aged patients with hyperlipidemia complicated carotid plaques [carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) > 1. 5mm]were selected, and were randomly divided into no lipid lowering treatment group (n=62) and pitavastatin group (n=64). Flow-mediated dilation of brachial artery (FMD), carotid IMT and blood lipid levels before and 12 months after medication, and incidence rate of adverse events were recorded and compared between two groups. Results: Compare with before treatment and no lipid lowering treatment group after treatment, there was significant rise in FMD [(6. 70±2. 10) %, (6. 60±2. 35) % vs. (8. 90±3. 60) %], and significant reductions in levels of total cholesterol [(6. 05±1. 40) mmol/L, (5. 67±1. 90) mmol/L vs. (4. 05±1. 20) mmol/L], triglyceride [(2. 18± 0. 72) mmol/L, (2. 08±0. 68) mmol/L vs. (1. 77±0. 65) mmol/L]and low density lipoprotein cholesterol [(4. 65±1. 50) mmol/L, (4. 41±1. 36) mmol/L vs. (2. 01±1. 30) mmol/L]in pitavastatin group, P<0. 05 or<0. 01; there were no significant changes in IMT in two groups. No obvious adverse reaction was found in pitavastatin group. Conclusion: Pitavastatin can significantly improve lipid levels and vascular endothelial function in young and middle-aged patients with hyperlipidemia complicated carotid plaques.
8.The Status of iron deficiency anemia and its effect on growth and development among infants

Objective To know the prevalence rate of iron deficiency anemia and its effect on growth and development among infants under 6 months. Methods A total of 341 infants who were born from July 2011 to June 2012 were enrolled. The information of blood routine examination,growth index,feeding patterns was collected at age of 42 days and 6 months,respectively. Developmental screening test was conducted at age of 6 months. Results The prevalence rate of anemia at 42 days was 37. 54%,and there was no significant difference between males(40. 54%)and females(33. 97%) (P>0. 05). The prevalence rate of iron deficiency anemia at 6 months was 19. 35%,in which 48. 48% were new cases. At age of 42 days,there was no significant difference between different feeding patterns in anemia prevalence( breast feeding:30. 82%,mixed feeding:41. 40%,artificial feeding:47. 37%,P>0. 05). While at age of 6 months,the anemia prevalence of breast feeding group was higher( 38. 20%)than that of the other two groups( mixed feeding:16. 38%;artificial feeding:9. 56%;P<0. 05 ). The rate of developmental quotient below 70 was 11. 76% in the anemia cases whose hemoglobin was continuously low from 42 days to 6 months,which was higher than that of new onset anemia cases (3. 13%)and normal hemoglobin controls(1. 82%)(P<0. 05). Conclusion Continuously low hemoglobin at early age of 42 days to 6 months is potentially harmful to neuropsychological development of infants. Early screening of hemoglobin is urgently needed for intervention of iron deficiency anemia among infants.
9.Clinical analysis of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.

OBJECTIVETo generate a comprehensive clinical profile of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) by systematically reviewing ICP cases managed in our hospital.
METHODSThe recorded clinical data, including diagnosis, complications, management, and maternal and infant outcomes, of nine ICP cases were collected retrospectively and reviewed systematically.
RESULTSSeven of the nine total ICP patients presented with pruritus. All nine of the ICP patients showed bile acid level beyond the normal range. ICP complications included gestational hypertension (n = 3), diabetes mellitus (DM, n = 1) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT, n = 1), and pre-eclampsia (n = 1). The infant of one patient with severe ICP showed meconium-stained liquor. All nine of the ICP patients underwent surgical delivery, of which three were delivered preterm (between the 35th and 36th week of gestation). All mothers' total bile acids declined to normal levels after delivery, and all infants survived without complication.
CONCLUSIONICP does not increase the puerpera mortality rate and does not represent a poor prognosis for infants. Bile acid levels in the ICP patients, however, may be related to the extent of premature delivery time. While the standard drug treatment of ursodeoxycholic acid is suitable for most ICP cases, those with insufficient gestational age may benefit from adjuvant corticosteroid therapy to promote fetal lung maturation prior to preterm delivery. Severe ICP cases should be managed by inducing artificial labor or performing Caesarean section.

10.Effect of veneering technologies on color and translucency of Y2O3 stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals all-ceramic restorations.

OBJECTIVETo compare color parameters and transmittance of Y2O3 stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals (Y-TZP) all-ceramic restorations using different veneering technologies.
METHODSFifteen disc specimens with 10 mm in diameter and (0.50 +/- 0.01) mm in thickness were fabricated of IPS e. max ZirCAD core material, and ZL1 IPS e. max ZirLiner was layered in 0.10 mm thickness. The specimens were divided into three groups randomly (n=5 per group). Group ZP was veneered 0.60 mm by heat-pressing; group ZC was veneered 0.60 mm by layering; group ZPC was veneered 0.30 mm by heat-pressing and then 0.30 mm by layering. Color parameters L*, a*, b* and transmittance of zirconia specimens were measured before and after veneering with ShadeEye NCC dental chromameter and spectrophotometer. Color saturation C* ab and color difference deltaE were calculated in the following formulae: C* ab = [(a*)2 + (b*)2](1/2), deltaE = [(deltaL*)2 + (deltaa*)2 + (deltab*)2](1/2) One-way analysis of variance and Turkey's multiple comparison test were used to analyze data (alpha = 0.05) by SPSS 10.0 statistic software. Color parameters of A2 shade tabs were measured, and color differences between each group and tab were calculated.
RESULTSAs to ZP,ZPC,ZC groups, the value of a* increased (-1.35 +/- 0.07, -0.64 +/- 0.06, -0.36 +/- 0.05) (P < 0.05), the value of b* decreased (27.01 +/- 0.07, 25.48 +/- 0.11, 23.28 +/- 0.25) (P < 0.05), and the value of C* ab decreased (27.04 +/- 0.08, 25.49 +/- 0.11, 23.28 +/- 0.25) (P < 0.05). L* and transmittance were maximum in ZP group (87.53 +/- 0.48, 1.64 +/- 0.03) and minimum in ZPC group (82.14 +/- 0.18, 1.47 +/- 0.01) (P < 0.05). Compared with standard A2 shade tab, the color difference of ZC group was minimum (delta = 1.04), and the color difference of ZP group was maximum (deltaE = 4.86).
CONCLUSIONSY-TZP all-ceramic restoration veneered by heat-pressing was the most transparent and lightest; while veneered by both heat-pressing and layering, the restoration was worst in translucency and the least light. The color of zirconia all-ceramic restoration veneered by layering was the most similar to standard shade tab, and the color difference was minimum.
