Objective To investigate the prevalence of voice disorder and voice fatigue mental state in the pri-mary school teachers in a district of Chengdu. Methods A random sampling survey included 389 teachers from a dis-trict of Chengdu after they filled out the throat symptoms questionnaire, carried out voice fatigue tests, and strobo-scopic laryngoscopy. Results The most common voice of discomfort symptoms was hoarseness, followed by sore throat, dry throat and vocal fatigue. There were 189 teachers,48.5%,with voice disorders as the voice disorder group)and 200 teachers without throat and voice disorders as the control group. The failure rate was significantly higher at 80 dB than 75 dB,and for the study group, the failure rate was higher than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant in 1,2 and 10 minutes between the two groups(P <0.05).Conclusion Voice fatigue is very common in the primary school teachers and when high volumes are required, the voice fatigue is more serious. To reduce voice fatigue and the incidence of primary school teachers'voice disease,we should strengthen the teacher's voice health care.
2. Role of methylation in regulating PhoP activity in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2019;39(8):827-833
Objective :To investigate the correlation between methylation and the activity of transcriptional regulator PhoP in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium), and screen for the methyltransferase of PhoP. Methods :The methylation level of PhoP in S. Typhimurium under different culture conditions was determined by Western blotting. The transcription levels of phoP and the genes regulated by phoP were examined to screen for the methyltransferase of PhoP after overexpressing methyltransferase candidates predicted by bioinformatics. And then methyltransferase assay was verified in vitro. The transcription levels of phoP and its methyltransferase were determined by real-time PCR in high concentration of Mg2+ or weak acid conditions. Results :As the concentration of Mg2+increased in the medium, the methylation level of PhoP increased, and its methylation level decreased after S. Typhimurium was stimulated by weak acid. In the screening of 9 methyltransferases predicted by bioinformatics, overexpression of STM14_0023 reduced the transcription level of phoP and its downstream genes and the protein level of PhoP in vivo, but knockout of STM14_0023 had no effect on the expression of phoP and its downstream genes. STM14_0023 was capable of methylating PhoP in vitro and could also increase the methylation level of PhoP after overexpression of STM14_0023 in vivo. Under the condition of high concentration of Mg2+ when the expression of phoP was inhibited, the transcriptional level of STM14_0023 was reduced. Conclusion :STM14_0023 is the methyltransferase of PhoP, and methylation inhibits PhoP activity.
3. Research progress of autophagy in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2018;38(6):690-694
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a type of metabolic liver injury which is closely related to insulin resistance. Now it has become the leading cause of chronic liver diseases worldwide, which is closely related to the high incidence of type 2 diabetes and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. It can progress into cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. The pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is complicated and not yet fully elucidated. In recent years, studies have found that autophagy plays an important role in the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, mainly through regulation of insulin resistance, endoplasmic reticulum stress, mitochondrial dysregulation, lipid-toxicity caused by lipid deposition and inflammation.

OBJECTIVETo summarize the clinical features, diagnostic and therapeutic experiences of colorectal Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
METHODSClinical data of 32 patients with colorectal NHL admitted to our hospital from January 1988 to December 2006 was retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTSThis study included 22 B-cell NHL and 10 T-cell NHL cases. In the B-cell NHL group, the male: female ratio was 14:8 and the median age was 60.5 years. In the T-cell NHL group, the male: female ratio was 5:5 and the median age was 31.0 years. The ileocecal region was most frequently involved in both groups, which accounted for 77.3% and 60.0% of the B and T group respectively. The common clinical manifestations included abdominal pain, weight loss, and abdominal mass. Of the 14 cases of B-cell NHL with definite subtype classifications, 64.3% were of the Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) type. Among the 22 B-cell NHL, 40.9% were with localized diseases (stage I-II1), while all 10 patients in T-cell NHL group were in stage IV with 3 patients complicated with massive GI bleeding and 4 with perforation. All patients of B-cell type received chemotherapy utilizing mainly CHOP after surgical resection. After a median follow-up of 55 months, the disease-free survival was rate 88.2%. Among the T-cell NHL group, 8 out of 10 patients underwent surgery and chemotherapy was given to all those who could tolerate it. Five patients died within 2 months after surgery. It's known that 3 patients were still alive after 23 months.
CONCLUSIONSThe ileocecal region is the most frequently involved site of the colorectal NHL. The histology is usually B-cell type with a majority being DLBCL. Currently R-CHOP chemotherapy after the surgical resection is the principal treatment modality. Patients of B-cell type have a better prognosis while the prognosis of T-cell NHL is poor. Therefore more aggressive diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are recommended for T-cell NHL patients. The prospective of organ preservation treatment for colorectal NHL is still in need of further investigations.

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of Feiji Recipe (FR) intervening indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) induced immune escape on the murine model of Lewis lung carcinoma. Methods Totally 48 C57BL/6 mice inoculated with Lewis lung cancer cells transfected with human (enhanced green fluorescent protein,EGFP)-IDO gene were divided into four groups according to radom digit table, i.e., the model group (administered with normal saline by gastrogavage) , the Chinese medicine group (treated with FR Decoction at the daily dose of 100 mg/g by gastrogavage), the 1-methyl-D-trytaphan (1-MT) group (administered with 1-MT mixed liquor at the daily dose of 100 mg/kg by gastrogavage), and the Paclitaxel group (treated with Paclitaxel at the daily dose of 15 mg/kg by peritoneal injection), 12 in each group. The intervention was started from the 2nd day of modeling. The survival time was observed in 24 of them. Ratios of CD4+ CD25+ FoxP3+ regulatory T cells (Treg) in the spleen were detected in the rest 24 mice by flow cytometry respectively.
RESULTSCompared with the model group, the survival time was significantly prolonged in the Chinese medicine group and the 1-MT group (P < 0.01); ratios of Treg cells remarkably decreased in the Chinese medicine group, the 1-MT group, and the Paclitaxel group (P < 0. 01). Compared with the Paclitaxel group, the survival time was significantly prolonged in the Chinese medicine group and the 1-MT group (P < 0.01); ratios of Treg cells decreased significantly in the 1-MT group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONFR could inhibit the proliferation of lung cancer cells and immune eseape, improve the immune function, and prolong the survival of tumor-bearing mice.

To develop a cell-penetrating chimeric apoptotic peptide AVPI-LMWP/DNA co-delivery system for cancer therapy, we prepared the AVPI-LMWP/pTRAIL self-assembled complexes containing a therapeutic combination of peptide drug AVPI and DNA drug TRAIL. The chimeric apoptotic peptide AVPI-LMWP was synthesized using the standard solid-phase synthesis. The cationic AVPI-LMWP could condense pTRAIL by electrostatic interaction. The physical-chemical properties of the AVPI-LMWP/pTRAIL complexes were characterized. The cellular uptake efficiency and the inhibitory activity of the AVPI-LMWP/pTRAIL complexes on tumor cell were also performed. The results showed that the AVPI-LMWP/pTRAIL complexes were successfully prepared by co-incubation. With the increase of mass ratio (AVPI-LMWP/DNA), the particle size was decreased and the zeta potential had few change. Agarose gel electrophoresis showed that AVPI-LMWP could fully bind and condense pTRAIL at a mass ratio above 15:1. Cellular uptake efficiency was improved along with the increased ratio of W(AVPI-LMWP)/WpTRAIL. The in vitro cytotoxicity experiments demonstrated that the AVPI-LMWP/pTRAIL (W:W = 20:1) complexes was significantly more effective than the pTRAIL, AVPI-LMWP alone or LMWP/pTRAIL complexes on inhibition of HeLa cell growth. Our studies indicated that the AVPI-LMWP/pTRAIL co-delivery system could deliver plasmid into HeLa cell and induce tumor cell apoptosis efficiently, which showed its potential in cancer therapy using combination of apoptoic peptide and gene drugs.

OBJECTIVETo assess the economic implications of an annual vaccination strategy against influenza among people who were on a social-health program.
METHODSA retrospective cohort study was conducted. 1900 persons who had received the influenza vaccine were served as vaccine group, while 1049 persons who did not receive the vaccine were served as controls. Cluster random sampling method was used. Both of these two groups came from Donfang Company in which there were 12,109 employers in total and all of them joined the social health insurance program. The survey was carried out when the influenza vaccine was given one year ago.
RESULTSThe rates of vaccine group and control group for respiratory system diseases and cardiovascular diseases who were hospitalized, were 0.51%, 2.47% and 1.64%, 5.62% which showed 68.90% and 56.05% decrease, when compared with the control group. The crude inpatient rate among vaccinees and control group after receiving the vaccination for three and four month were 0.62%, 0.80% and 0.28%, 1.00% respectively. The inpatient rate of oldest-age group decreased by 53.59%, compared with control group. The cost-benefit ratio generated by the use of influenza vaccine in reducing the hospitalization rate was 6.48:1 for Social Health Insurants in Xi'an city.
CONCLUSIONThe Strategy to vaccinate the social-health-insured residents on influenza in Xi'an city had gained better economic benefits in reducing the hospitalization rate of respiratory system diseases and cardiovascular diseases for mild and old-aged persons.
