1.Neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis caused by Citrin deficiency

Neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis caused by Citrin deficiency(NICCD) is one of phenotypes of Citrin deficiency.It's an autosomal recessive disorder which was mainly seen in East Asia,including China.Case of NICCD was reported firstly by Japanese in 2001.In south area of China,the morbidity of NICCD is higher than that in north area of China.Most of the patients with NICCD has benign prognosis.Symptoms resolve within the first year of life,thus making a diagnosis difficult after this time.But few of patients will develop liver failure,even be fatal to life.Early diagnosis,regular follow-up and proper management may improve the prognosis.
2.Searching of specialized social practice in full-time MPH program

The article reviewed of the origin of the social practice teaching in master of public health(MPH) program and gave the introduction of the social practice in American MPH education. Through the definition, positioning and feedback of specialized social practice in full-time MPH program, we can get some experiences and enlightenments of specialized social practice in full-time MPH educa-tion, which will provide references for social practice teaching in full-time professional degree education.
3.Study on methodology for evaluating clinical efficacy of traditional Tibetan medicine.

The evaluation on clinical efficacy of traditional Tibetan medicine (TTM) is an important scientific subject during the development of TTM. Firstly, the authors introduced the current situations and problems in evaluation on clinical efficacy of traditional Tibetan medicine both at home and abroad in this study. Secondly, they compared the similarities and differences between TTM and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in evaluation on clinical efficacy, define their differences in details but not in nature, and proposed that TTM could selectively learn TCM's experiences in clinical research and build a specific methodology system for evaluation on clinical efficacy according to its own characteristics. Thirdly, they discussed the methodological challenges in evaluation on clinical efficacy of TTM, including the pending clinical research guidelines and disease diagnosis standards according to its own characteristics. Finally, they propound some suggestions for promoting the evaluation on clinical efficacy of TTM, including the comprehensive application of multiple research methods, overall research-based evaluation on efficacy of TTM complex intervention and selection of accepted and objective outcome indexes for efficacy evaluation.

4. Side population cells of thyroid gland: Research progress

Side population (SP) cells are highly enriched for stem cell activity and characterized by their ability to efflux the vital dye Hoechst 33342, because they express the ATP binding cassette (ABC)-dependent transporter ABCG2. SP cells can be selected from main population using flow cytometric analysis. Currently SP cells have been isolated from many tissues and organs. SP cells of different origins have some common characteristics. This article introduces the classifications, surface marker, and characteristics of SP cells.
5.The role of glucocorticoid in treating cytomegalovirus pneumonia following renal transplantation

Objective To study the role of glucocorticoid (GC) in treating patients with cyto- megalovirus (CMV) pneumonia following renal transplantation.Methods There were 75 cases CMV pneumonia following renal transplantation during one month (3 cases),2-6 months (64 cases) and more than 6 months (8 cases).All patients were subjected to the comprehensive treatments including anti-virus therapy.In 47 cases,GC was given (GC group),and in the rest 28 cases,GC was not administered (non-GC group).Results In GC group,40 cases (85.1%) were cured and there were 7 deaths (14.9%).In non-GC group,17 cases (60.7%) were cured and there were 11 deaths (39.3%).There was significant difference between two groups (P
6.Genetic Polymorphisms of 21 Autosomal STR Loci of Fujian Han Population.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the genetic polymorphisms of 21 autosomal STR loci of Fujian Han population and evaluate the forensic application value of GlobalFiler Express kit.
METHODS:
Amplified with GlobalFiler Express kit, DNA samples were obtained from 741 unrelated individuals of Fujian Han population. The population genetics parameters of 21 autosomal STR loci were calculated.
RESULTS:
The 21 autosomal STR loci were found to be no deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibration (P > 0.05) and relatively abundant in high polymorphism. Heterozygosity ranged from 0.589 to 0.914, power of discrimination ranged from 0.754 to 0.992, polymorphic information content ranged from 0.520 to 0.940, and power of exclusion ranged from 0.278 to 0.825. The SE33 locus was the highest degree in polymorphism.
CONCLUSION
The 21 STR loci of GlobalFiler Express kit have high value in discrimination power and can be useful in personal identification and paternity test in Fujian Han population.

7.SCREENING AND MUTATING A RAW STARCH-DIGESTING GLUCOAMYLASE STRAIN

strains that could produce raw starch-digesting glucoamylase were isolated from soil and mildewed rice.The highest raw starch-digesting glucoamylase activity strain named OR-1 was identified as Rhizopus.sp.The raw starch-digesting glucoamylase activity of the strain is 90U/mL.Through UV and NTG mutagenesis,the raw starch-digesting glucoamylase activity raised to 200U/mL and 325U/mL respectively.The RDA were 70% and 65% respectively.
8.The study on influence factors of the grade point average of degree courses among Master gradu-ates in medicine

Objective To understand the grade point average (GPA) of degree courses and its in-fluence factors in Master postgraduates in China. Method A cross-sectional study was carried out to collect the data on GPA and the student information in the management system of postgraduates who graduated from Graduate School of Public Health from 2013 to 2015. SPSS 20.0 was used to describe the basic situa-tion, and the data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis and multivariate analysis of variance. Results During 3-year, totally 213 Master students were graduated with the average GPA of (3.19±0.30). The female had higher GPA than the male subjects [(3.24±0.29) vs. (3.05±0.29), F=17.11, P=0.000], those enrolled by the recommendation than those enrolled by the graduate entry examinations [(3.36±0.25) vs. (3.11±0.28), F=39.36, P=0.000], those graduated from the university of 985 were better than the graduate students from other universities [(3.30±0.29) vs. (3.11±0.28), F=22.14, P=0.000], those with the academic degree than those with the professional degree [(3.31±0.25) vs. (2.99±0.27), F=72.38, P=0.000], and there was a negative relationship between the total credits and GPA of degree courses (r=-0.48, P=0.000). Further, sex, enrollment way, undergraduate university, and total credits of degree courses were independent influence factors under multivariate analysis of variance (all P<0.05). Conclusion These master graduates in medicine have better GPA of degree courses and it can be statistically related to sex, enrollment way, undergraduate university, and total credits of degree courses. Some measures should be developed to enroll more students from better university, improve the master programs, and raise the quality of graduate education management.
9.Patch Testing of Cosm etic Derm atitis Using Suspected Cosm etics

In order to study on the properconcentrations for patch test(PT),and the availability of PT w ith the suspected cosm etic products used by the patients,PT ofvarious cosm etic products w as per- form ed on 35 healthy subjects and 38 patients w ith non-contactderm atitis and non-eczem a by using dif- ferent concentrations of cosm etic products and their vehicles in cosm etic products.In 62 patients w ith cosm etic derm atitis PT w as done using their ow n suspected causative cosm etic products.The results show ed thatm ost products could be tested “w ith originalproducts”,w ithout dilution,such as skin care products(cream ),lipsticks,hair care products(hair cream ,hair oil,m ousse),others had to be diluted, such as hair dyes,hotoiland soap,to 2% solution,sham poos to 5% solution,perm anent-w ave solutions and perfum es to 5% or 10% in distilled w ater,nailvarnish to 5% or 10% in acetone.The totalpositive rate of PT by using suspected cosm etics w as 95.16% .Our results indicate that PT concentrations and vehicles vary w ith different products in suspected cosm etics,PT of the suspected causative cosm etic products is an im portant m eans for the diagnosis of cosm etic derm atitis.Our study provides necessary data for the further study ofChinese standard cosm etic screening series allergens for PT.
10.Change Rule of Decocting Quantity of Effective Components in Amomi Fructus and Amomi Fructus Rotun-dus with Decocting Time by GC

Objective:To study the change rule of decocting quantity of the effective components in Amomi fructus and Amomi fructus rotundus with decocting time to determine whether or not decocted later and optimal decocting time. Methods:The herbs were extracted by the traditional water decoction, and at different time points, sampling was carried out. Using camphor and eucalyptol as the index components, the change rule of decocting quantity of the effective components with the decoction time under the condition of single and combined decoction was investigated. Results:When the decoction time of Amomi fructus was within the range of 3-6 min, the total amount of camphor in the decoction reached relatively high value, and the total amount lost more than 45% when the decoction time exceeded 10 min. Amomi fructus rotundus boiled for a short time below 2 min, and when the decoction time was more than 5 min, more than 50% eucalyptol lost. Conclusion:Amomi fructus and Amomi fructus rotundus should be decocted later with decocting time within 3-6min and below 2 min, respectively. The analytical method is reliable and precise in the quality control of relative decoction.
