Hedysari polysaccharide (HPS) is the main component of hedysarum polybotrys. HPS can inhibit tumor cell proliferation, block the cell cycle in the G2-M period, modulate apoptosis via the mitochon drial pathway, and improve the red blood cell innate immunity and T lymphocyte immune function. HPS can relieve low immunity caused by chemotherapeutics.HPS plays anti-tumor effects by these ways mentioned above.

Objective To analyze the data of concentric (c) and eccentric (e) peak torque of hamstring (H) and quadricep (Q) in differ-ent gender and angle after 4-week concentric and eccentric isokinetic exercise training on knee, in order to provide suggestions for the knee extensor and flexor in rehabilitation exercise prescription. Methods 28 healthy college students from May to June 2014 in our college partic-ipated in maximum concentric (n=14) or eccentric (n=14) resistance training of the right knee extensors and flexors 3 times per week for 4 weeks. The concentric strength was measured with BIODEX isokinetic dynamometer assessment system 4 at 30 °/s, 60 °/s, 90 °/s, and ec-centric strength was measured at 60 °/s, 120 °/s, 180 °/s. PT, H/Q (He/Qc, Hc/Qc) ratio and H/H (He/Hc) or Q/Q(Qe/Qc) ratio were ana-lyzed. Results Concentric isokinetic training could improve the Hc and He at 60 °/s and 90 °/s (P<0.05), and the Qe and Qc increased at 30 °/s, 60 °/s, 90 °/s respectively (P<0.01). There was no significant improvement after eccentric training (P>0.05). After concentric isokinet-ic training, the He/Qc ratio decreased at 90 °/s (P<0.05), the Hc/Qc ratio decreased at 30 °/s (P<0.05). However, there was no difference in He/Qc and Hc/Qc after eccentric contraction (P>0.05). The Qc/Qe ratio increased at 60 °/s and 90 °/s (P<0.05), and the Hc/He ratio de-creased at 90 °/s (P<0.05) after concentric training. There was no difference in Hc/He and Qc/Qe after eccentric contraction (P>0.05). There were significant differences in Hc, He, Qc, Qe and He/Qc ratio between different genders (P<0.05). Conclusion Concentric training and ec-centric training have different influences on the muscle strength after 4 weeks training. Eccentric training only can reduce the knee stability. Hc/He ratio and Qc/Qe ratio can be used to evaluate the knee muscle function. Gender should be considered into training.

Objective:To observe different effects of moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) on electrogastrogram (EGG) of patients with functional dyspepsia (FD). Methods:A total of 65 cases were randomized into a Zusanli (ST 36) group (n=33) and a Yanglingquan (GB 34) group (n=32) by random serial number, to receive moxibustion therapy to the corresponding point respectively. The 8-lead EGG was used before and after treatment to collect EGG parameter of the gastric body, antrum of stomach, lesser curvature and greater curvature, including the dominant frequency, slow wave percentage, average frequency, response area and motility index. Results:After treatment, the dominant frequency and slow wave percentage were improved in nearly the whole stomach area in Zusanli (ST 36) group, showing statistical significances (bothP<0.05); the slow wave percentage and average frequency were improved in stomach body and antrum of stomach in Yanglingquan (GB 34) group, showing statistical significances (bothP<0.05); moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) had a significantly higher influence on EGG than Yanglingquan (GB 34) , in which the lifting of slow wave percentage was significantly higher than Yanglingquan (GB 34) group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion at Zusanli (ST 36) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) has the effect of adjusting abnormal EGG pattern in FD patients. Compared with Yanglingquan (GB 34), Zusanli (ST 36) has a superior effect in improving EGG in stomach area.

Objective To investigate the effects of heat preconditioning (HP) on the expression of protein kinase C (PKC) δ and PKCε in the myocardium of overload exercise rats. Methods 25 male three-month-old Sprague-Dauley rats were divided into control group (n=5), exercise group (n=10) and HP group (n=10). The expression of PKCδ and PKCε in the myocardium was detected with immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR and Western blotting 8 weeks after overload exercise. Results The expression of PKCδ significantly increased in the exercise group compared with the control group and the HP group (P<0.05). In another hand, PCR and immunohistochemistry showed the expression of PKCε in the exercise group decreased compared with the control group and the HP group (P<0.05), but it was not significantly different among the groups using Western blotting (P>0.05). Conclusion PKCs may play an important role in the HP-induced cardio-protection during overload exercise.

ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of combined therapy of mild hypothermia and hibernation to treat severe brain injury. Methods24 patients with severe brain injury were randomly divided into combined therapy group and normothermia group. Glasgow Coma Scale scores of all the patients were in the range of 3 to 8. No later than 10 hours after their injury, hypothermia patients were given half dosage of No.1 hibernation cocktail and had been cooled by cooling blankets to 32℃-34℃ (rectal temperature) for 5 days, then to 35℃ for 24 hours, and slowly increased to their normal level. 3 days and 7 days after their admission, intracranial pressure, creatine phosphate kinase, partial pressure of arterial O2 and CO2, platelet and Na+,K+ were measured.7 days after their admission, Glasgow Outcome Scale scores of each patient and mortality of each group were measured. ResultsThe mortality of combined therapy group(25.0%) was significantly lower than that of normothermia group (66.6%,P<0.05). The decreased values of intracranial pressure, creatine phosphate kinase and platelet number of combined therapy group were all significantly higher than that of normothermia group respectively (P<0.05). There were no significant difference in mean artery pressure, blood electrolyte, and partial pressure of arterial O2 and CO2 between these two groups(P>0.05). ConclusionThe combined therapy of mild hypothermia and hibernation can effectively reduce the mortality of patients with severe brain injury as it is much easier, less invasive and with less complications.

Objective To study the CT perfusion features of various lymph nodes in the neck. Methods Dynamic perfusion CT scanning was performed in 83 neck lymph nodes proved by pathology, including tuberculosis lymph nodes, lymphoma and metastatic lymph nodes. The shapes, blood flow modes, and perfusion parameters of these lymph nodes were compared among 3 groups. Statistical analysis of L/T and CT perfusion parameters was performed by one-way ANOVA and LSD test. Results The values of MTT of tuberculosis lymph nodes, lymphoma and metastatic lymph nodes were (28. 13 ±5.08), (31.08 ±5.82),and ( 11.24 ±5.31 ) s,respectively. The MTT of metastatic lymph nodes was statistically lower than that of tuberculosis lymph nodes and lymphoma (P < 0. 05). Their frequencies of marginal blood flow were 5/9,4/19, and 39/55 (70. 9% ), respectively. The frequency of marginal blood flow in the tuberculosis lymph nodes and metastatic lymph nodes was statistically higher than that of lymphoma ( P < 0. 05 ). Their frequencies of central blood flow were 2/9, 11/19, and 9/55 (16.4%), respectively. The frequency of central blood flow in the lymphoma was statistically higher than that of tuberculosis lymph nodes and metastatic lymph nodes ( P < 0. 05 ). Their values of L/T were 1.82 ± 0. 32, 1. 80 ± 0. 39, and 1.84 ± 0. 36,(40. 98 ±6. 62) s,respectively. There were no significant differences in L/T, BF, BV and TTP among tuberculosis lymph nodes, lymphoma and metastatic lymph nodes( P > 0. 05 ). Conclusion CT perfusion, especially combination functional imaging with perfusion images may be helpful in judging the nature of neck lymph nodes.
