ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility and influence factors of a new silver salt method for determination of arsenic in drinking water. Methods Arsenic was determined at different reaction temperature,acidity, specification and addition of zinc granular, fill weight of lead acetate cotton, and the effect of these factors on assay results was observed. Arsenic in drinking water was determined in accordance with standard test methods (GB/T 5750.6) of the new silver method. Results The recoveries of the arsenic were 75.3％ - 93.6％(F =9.21,P ＜ 0.01 ) with reaction temperature at 10 - 30 ℃, and the best reaction temperature was 25 ℃. The recoveries of the arsenic ranged from 80.3％ - 91.6％(F =4.67, P＜ 0.05) when sulfuric acid was 3.0 - 6.0 ml and the best value was 5.0 ml. The recoveries of the honeycomb structural zinc granular(diameter 0.2 - 0.3, 0.3 - 0.4 mm) and button zinc granular were 87.2％, 90.7％ and 83.0％, respectively; the best specification was 0.3 - 0.4 mm. The recoveries of zinc granular weight(3 - 5 g ) were 74.6％ - 91.7％, respectively; the best was 5 g. The recoveries ranged from 79.6％ - 91.3％ with fill weight of lead acetate cotton at 25 - 100 mg, the best fill weight was 50 mg.The recoveries of the arsenic were 90.7％, 92.5％, 81.5％ and 74.2％ with lead acetate cotton length at 0.5 - 2.0 cm,and the best loose-tight degree was 1.0 cm. The stability time of arsine solution was 5.0, 4.0, 2.5 h with corresponding temperature at 20, 25, 30 ℃, respectively. ConclusionsIn order to ensure precision and accuracy of the measurement, it is necessary to control reaction temperature, acidity, specification and addition of zinc granular free from arsenic, fill weight of lead acetate cotton and loose-tight degree in the reaction system.

Objective: To establish the quatity standard of Sedum aizoon L..Methods: The micro-method and TLC were used for qualitative identification,and a HPLC analysis was applied for quantitative determination of quercetin.Results: A qualitative analysis for Sedum aizoon L.was set up,a good linear relationship was obtained over the range of 1.216-2.16?g/ml and regression equation was Y=40386X-14138(r=0.9991).The average recovery rate was 102.08%(RSD=0.92%).Conclusion: The method is simple,accurate and suitable for quality control of Sedum aizoon L.

Objective To compare the individual effects of three recruitment maneuvers (RM) in children with congenital heart disease complicated by postoperation acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).Methods A prospective single-blind randomized controlled trial was conducted.Thirty-two children with congenital heart disease complicated with ARDS after open-heart surgery undergoing mechanical ventilation were randomized into three groups,to whom three different RM was respectively performed,namely sustained inflation (SI),progressively increased positive end expiratory pressure (IP) and pressure control ventilation (PCV).Blood gas analysis was done every 6 hours,and the lung RM was performed if oxygenation index (OI) ≤ 300 mmHg (1 mmHg =0.133 kPa).The OI,the dynamic lung compliance (Cdyn),as well as the parameters of hemodynamics before,during and after RM for 15,30,and 60 minutes were recorded and analyzed before and after RM.Results During the treatment process,the OI was significantly increased during the process and 15,30 or 60 minutes after RM compared with that before RM,with no statistical difference among groups (F value was 1.027,0.403,0.264,0.172,0.159,and P value was 0.367,0.671,0.769,0.843,0.853).The Cdyn at all time points in each group was also significantly increased,but there was no statistical difference among groups (F value was 0.009,0.015,0.206,0.010,0.389,and P value was 0.991,0.985,0.814,0.990,0.683).In the process of RM,the heart rate (HR) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) of the children were lowered compared with those before RM [HR (bpm):131.67 ± 9.56 vs.138.93 ± 5.22 in SI group,133.27 ± 9.54 vs.140.33 ± 7.74 in IP group,137.13 ± 7.39 vs.142.40 ± 9.18 in PCV group,all P ＜ 0.01;MAP (mmHg):55.07 ± 4.43 vs.65.87 ± 4.46 in SI group,58.82 ± 6.04 vs.64.02 ± 7.65 in IP group,57.89 ± 4.71 vs.65.36 ± 5.37 in PCV group,all P ＜ 0.01],but it recovered immediately.CVP in all three groups was increased during RM [cmH2O (1 cmH2O =0.098 kPa):11.60±0.99 vs.5.53±0.74 in SI group,10.33± 1.35 vs.5.40±0.74 in IP group,10.20±0.94 vs.5.80±0.68 in PCV group,all P ＜ 0.01].There was significant difference in CVP during RM among three groups (F =7.327,P =0.002),and CVP in SI group was higher than that of other two groups (both P ＜ 0.05).CVP returned to the former level in 15 minutes after RM in IP and PCV groups,and recovered in 30 minutes in SI group.Conclusions All of the RM methods can effectively improve oxygenation and pulmonary compliance of the children with complication of ARDS,and they complement the inadequacy of lung protective ventilation.PCV and IP are more effective than SI in the uniform re-expansion of alveoli after RM and recovery of hemodynamics.

Plant growth retardant as one of plant growth regulator can inhibit the cell division, elongation and growth rate in shoot apical meristem (SAM), which can be reversed by gibberellin regulate the product of photosynthesis transfer to the root and rhizome part. As commonly used plant growth retardant, paclobutrazol, uniconazole, chlorocholine chloride, mepiquat chloride, choline chloride and daminozide are used to promote the growth of root and rhizome, call as "zhuanggenling", "pengdasu", "pengdaji" etc. Single or recombination of plant growth regulator is registered as pesticide, and called as pesticide "zhuanggenling" in this paper. Growth regulator which registered as a foliar fertilizer or fertilization was called agricultural fertilizer "zhuanggenling" in this paper. The author investigate the usage of "zhuanggenling" in the root and rhizome of medicinal plants cultivation from 2012 to 2014 in Sichuan province, Huangyuan town, Mianyang (Ophiopogonis Radix); Pengzhou Aoping town (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Pengshan Xiejia town (Alismatis Rhizoma); Jiangyou Taiping town and Zhangming town (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata); Yunnan Wenshan (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Henan province, Wuzhidafeng Town (Rehmanniae Radix, Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, Dioscoreae Rhizoma); Gansu Min county (Codonopsis Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix); Gansu Li county (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma). The result showed that "zhuanggenling" were applied in the most medicinal plant cultivation except Rhei Radix et Rhizoma. It has been applied widespreadly in Ophiopogonis Radix, Alismatis Rhizoma, Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, Codonopsis Radix; Rehmanniae Radix, commonly in Angelicae Sinensis Radix application, and occasionally in Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma and Dioscoreae Rhizoma. In 53 collected sample from plantation areas, fifteen (28%) were pesticide "zhuanggenling", thirty-eight (72%) were pesticide "zhuanggenling". UPLC analysis results showed that 38 farmers fertilizer "zhuanggenling" content of 6 kinds of plant growth retardant. It is regarded that fertilizer "zhuanggenling" was dominant in medicinal plant cultivation, and that the plant growth retardant is added widespreadly in farm fertilizer "zhuanggenling". All evidence proves conclusively that "zhuanggenling" have been used in the proper way, whereas some others have been misused or even abused in the use regarding to type, number, use frequency. The root or rhizoma are increased to 20%-200%. But there is lack of evaluation to appraise the quality of medicinal materials from the aspects of research or industry. BACKGROUND:In oral warm and moisture circumstance, al oy which contains Be is easily to be eroded to release Be2+. But there is stil no research focusing on beryl ium influence on genotype of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. OBJECTIVE:To investigate Be 2+effect on genotype of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. METHODS:The revived Porphyromonas gingivalis was resuscitated for 48 hours in the anaerobic culture medium with different concentration of Be 2+(10×10-6, 5×10-6, 1.25×10-6). Through PCR amplification and sequencing, we investigated the effects of Be2+RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) When Be on genotypes of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. 2+concentration was 5×10-6, we found the peak of 217 and 257 sites on DNA sequence expressing G/A overlap peak, different from G single peak of the other groups, suggesting the suspicious bases changes, part of the single base G mutated into A. (2) On al concentrations, we found a base group composed of seven A bases was inserted into the 101 site of DNA sequence. Up to now, there is no direct contacts of the mutations occurring to Be2+concentration. Changes of gene may lead to the shifting of the reading frame, the abnormal synthesis of proteins, the change of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimA gene toxicity, and lastly the unbalance of the micro-ecological environment.

Objective To investigate the effect of physical training on plasma N-terminal pro-brain natri- uretic peptide(NT-proBNP)levels in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods Eighty NYHAⅡ-ⅢCHF patients were randomly divided into a training group(n=42)and a control group(n=38).A 6-minute walk- ing test was performed within 24 hours after the patients were admitted.The 6-minute walking distance and plasma NT-proBNP levels were determined before and after 8 weeks of programmed physical training.The patients of both groups were treated with routine drugs for heart failure.6-minute walk training was only performed in the training group twice a day for 8 weeks.Results Physical training could significantly reduce plasma NT-proBNP levels and improve performance on the 6-minute walking test.Conclusions Physical training could significantly reduce plas- ma NT-proBNP levels and improve the motor function of patients with CHF,and could be helpful in delaying the de- velopment of CHF.

ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation of brainstem auditory evoked potentials(BAEP) and somatic evoked potentials (SEP) with therapeutic outcome of brain stem hemorrhage patients.MethodsBAEP and SEP were detected in the early period of 25 caees with brain stem hemorrhage by evoked potential instrument,and were surveilled dynamically.ResultsThere was good prognosis in the patients whose BAEP and SEP were normal in the first time and repeated detection.Poor prognosis happened in ones whose BAEP and SEP were abnormal in the first time and repeated detection.The difference was significant between them(P＜0.05).ConclusionCombined detection and dynamic surveillance of BAEP and SEP could predict accurately the curative result of patients with brain stem hemorrhage.

Objective To explore the curative effect of standard craniotomy with large bone flap of the treatment for frontal-temporal severe craniocerebral injury patients.Methods Standard craniotomy with large bone flap was performed on 63 patients with frontal-temporal severe craniocerebral injury.All postoperative patients were followed up.The curative effect was assessed according to GOS.Results All patients were followed up for 1 year.According to the GOS,28 cases recovered well,12 cases became moderately disabled,4 cases were severely disabled,3 cases was in vegetative state and 16 cases died.The mortality rate was 25.4%.Conclusions Standard craniotomy with large bone flap is the best method of the treatment for frontal-temporal severe craniocerebral injury.Timely and thoroughly standard craniotomy with large bone flap for frontal-temporal severe craniocerebral injury patients can significantly improve the the curative effect of the patients and reduce the rate of mortality.

Objective:Since malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) may be taken as an undifferentia-ted pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS), this study was conducted to reassess 33 previously diagnosed MFH cases in the past 10 years based on the latest WHO concept. And then to search for the clinicopathological features, probably tumorigenesis, and the line of differentiation of the remaining MFH/UPS cases.Methods: Thirty-three cases in tissue microarray were studied by immunohistochemistry with panels of neurogenic, myogenic, and lipogenic antibodies. Three expertise pathologists reevaluated the slides separately. Results: Among the 33 cases, 17 cases (51.5%) of MFH had their diagnoses changed, including 5 leiomyosarcomas, 3 malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors, 1 fibrosarcoma, 1 inflammatory myofibrosarcoma, 1 giant cell tumor and 1 angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma. The remaining 16 cases (48.5%) were finally diagnosed as MFH/UPS, among which patients were mainly old adults (median age: 63 years; range: 38 to 76 years). The median tumor size was 6.0 cm (range: 3.0 to 14.0 cm), 8 cases (50%) located in lower limb and 5 cases (31.3%) located in thigh. These tumors had marked cytological and nuclear pleomorphism. Immunohistochemistry showed that Vimentin was strongly positive in all 16 MFH/UPS (100%), Muscle-specific actin was variously positive in 8 cases (50%) and 1 case focally expressed Desmin. Eleven cases (68.8%) variously expressed CD68 (KP1) and 7 cases (43.8%) expressed CD68 (PG-M1), which were much higher than leiomyosarcoma, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor and liposarcoma with significant difference. Moreover, Ki67 expression rates were from 10% to 100%, including 14 cases more than 50% and 11 cases more than 70%. However, only 2 cases (12.5%) showed P53 positive. Conclusion: MFH/UPS often show marked histological pleomorphism, and the diagnosis must be made by exclusion of other definitive sarcomas, especially myogenic and neurogenic sarcoma. Only Vimentin was always expressed in MFH/UPS, while some of the tumors were positive for myogenic antigen and CD68. It was suggested that MFH/UPS might arise from primary mesenchymal cells, and some cases exhibited fibroblastic and/or myofibroblastic features. In addition, histiocytic phenotypic marker did have more expression in MFH/UPS than in other sarcomas. MFH/UPS still had certain clinicopathological characteristics.
