Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine 2011;31(5):310-312
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT for the differential diagnosis of parotid tumors before treatment. Methods 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT imaging of the parotid region was obtained in 32 patients with parotid tumors before surgery.Early and delayed 99Tcm-MIBI imaging were performed in all patients and the diagnosis was confirmed by pathological results after surgery. The ratio of radioactivity between the tumor and opposite side of normal parotid tissue (T/N) was measured.Fisher exact probability test and t test were used for statistical analysis. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT imaging for the differential diagnosis of parotid tumor were 90.00% (9/10),86.36% (19/22) and 87.50% (28/32),respectively.Among 22 patients who had benign tumors,19(86.36%) showed negative findings, and the other 3 ( 13.64% ) patients showed false positive results. In 10 patients with malignant tumors,1 ( 10.00% ) had false negative findings, and all the other 9 (90.00%)patients showed positive results. The difference between the benign and malignant groups was statistically significant (P =0.00018 ).In the early images, the T/N ratios of benign and malignant parotid tumors were 1.45 ±0.38 and 1.65 ±0.63 (t =20.4,P<0.01),respectively; and in the delayed images, the ratios were 1.43 ± 0.56 and 1.77 ± 0.59 ( t =2.4,P < 0.05 ),respectively. Conclusion 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT imaging might be useful for the differential diagnosis of parotid tumors before surgery.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(6):511-513
With the development of the medical imageology, the lumbar pain resulted from vertebral compression of the anterior column can be treated through percutaneous vertebroplasty (PV). PV has some advantages, such as short operative time, definite pain release, less complications and better security. However, there are some indications and contraindications in PV. PV can reach the prospective effect after handling these indications and contraindications. The authors reviewed the predominance, anatomy, indications, contraindications, assessment before the operation, operative methods, complications of PV in this article.
5.Prostate stem cells: an update.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(5):460-463
Stem cells are characterized by self-renewing, multipotent differentiation, and high proliferation and receiving more and more attention for their roles in the development and management of various diseases. There are epithelial stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells in the prostate. The markers of the epithelial stem cells include cytokeratin, stem cell antigen-1, and integrins alpha2beta1, CD49f, CD133, CD117, and CD44. The markers of the mesenchymal stem cells include CD30, CD44, CD133, neuron-specific enolase, and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1. Prostate stem cells are involved in the development and treatment of prostatic diseases. This review focuses on the latest progress in the studies of prostate stem cells.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2001;0(09):-
Objective To evaluate the anti-tumour effect of 60℃ LipiodoI in the embolization of VX_2 hepatocarcinoma in rabbits. Methods VX_2 carcinoma cells were surgically implanted into the left liver lobe in 30 male New Zealand white rabbits, which were randomly divided into 3 groups by figure and table method with 10 rabbits in each group.Physiological saline,Lipiodol(37℃),and Lipiodol(60℃)were injected in each group via hepatic artery and liver cancer was embolized. The volume of tumour and serum level of aspartate aminotransferase(AST)were observed after one week, and the survival period of VX_2 rabbits was also observed. Results In the group of Lipiodol(60℃),the growth rate of tumour(0.92? 0.21)was significantly lower than that of control group(3.48?1.17)and Lipiodol(37℃)groups (1.69?0.26),respectively(F=34.95,P0.05),but was significantly higher than the control group(68.6?6.6)U/L(t=19.24,P

International Eye Science 2010;10(1):9-11
AIM:To study the differences of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)gene expression in lens epithelial cells (LECs) between fetuses and cataract patients. METHODS: In situ hybridization was used to detect bFGF mRNA in the LECs that were cultured and in tissue sections from fetuses and in the LECs from the anterior capsule of cataract patients. Image analysis was used for the relative quantitative analysis of bFGF mRNA. RESULTS: bFGF gene existed in the LECs that were cultured and in tissue sections from fetuses and in the LECs from the anterior capsule of cataract patients. The integral absorbance for the fetal cultured cells, the fetal tissue sections and the capsule membrane cells of cataract patients were 627.1±268.7, 131.5±42.8 and 79.2±26.3 respectively. The integral absorbance of fetal cultured LECs was significantly higher than that of fetal section LECs (P<0.01). The integral absorbance of cataract LECs was significantly lower than that of fetal LECs (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The in vitro culture of LECs can improve bFGF gene expression. The bFGF gene expression in fetal LECs is significantly higher than that in cataract LECs.
