Objective To explore whether obese adolescents had neurochemical abnormalities in frontal lobe and hippocampus. Methods Anthropometric indicators were measured in all participants.Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1H-MRS)were performed in 9 obese adolescents and 9 non-obese children as controls.Spectral peaks of N-acetylaspartate(NAA),creatine(Cr),choline(Cho)of 2 cortexes were measured and their ratios were computed and compared. Results Values of NAA and Cho in frontal lobe in obese group were significantly lo-wer than those of controls. There was no significant difference of Cr,NAA/Cr,Cho/Cr in frontal lobe and hippocampus between 2 groups. Conclusion The reduced NAA and Cho on 1H-MRS suggests that amount of neural nerve and myelination of white matter may be harmed in frontal lobe of obese adolescents.

The number of taking the Examination of Doctor Qualification is rising, while the pass rate is dropping each year. This status has undoubtedly made a big challenge for clinical teaching, and how to improve the effects of clinical lessons has become an important topic for the clinical teachers. The Affiliated Xinqiao Hospital of the Third Military Medical University has made some new changes in clinical teaching mode, which has a study clue of organ and system. Those methods give much help for students to pass the Examination of Doctor Qualification.
6.Impact of endocrine disrupting chemicals on semen quality.
National Journal of Andrology 2011;17(10):943-946
Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are natural or man-made agents that interfere in some way with human or animal normal endocrine function, and even influence the endocrine function of their offspring. There are many kinds of EDCs, which are widely present in soil, water, and even food. This review elaborates the impact of EDCs on human and animal semen quality from the viewpoint of epidemiology and biology by focusing on pesticides, plasticizers and detergents.
