Objective To explore the correlation analysis of plasma TNF-?,D-lactate levels and serious case score and clinical significance.Methods Plasma TNF-?,D-lactate levels and results from serious case'score was contrastingly studied in 120 cases of serious sick children during hospitalization in our PICU.Results The study findings showed that the plasma TNF-? and D-lactate levels had produced an obviously influence on score.Conclusions The more high plasma TNF-? and D-lactate levels,the lower score and the more dangerous condition in children with serious disease.

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of immunotherapy with dendritic cells-based vaccine against intracranial gliomas in rats.Methods:C6 glioma cells were injected into the brain of Wistar rat under stereotactic monitor to establish an animal model of glioma.The precursors of dendritic cells were isolated from bone marrow of rats,stimulated in vitro with recombinant rat granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(rrGM-CSF)and interleukin-4(rrIL-4).Cultured cell populations were confirmed to be functional DCs.These DCs were then pulsed ex vivo with C6 tumor-lysates prepared by three cycles of freezing to -80℃ and thawing to 0℃ and subsequently injected subcutaneously into rats harboring intracranial C6 tumor.Rats from different group were treated with five weekly subcutaneous injections of either control media,unpulsed DCs,or DCs pulsed with tumor-lysates.The animals were followed for survival,the percentage of CD8 +T cells in peripheral blood and cytotoxicity assay in vitro were determined by FACS.The level of cytokine IFN-? and IL-10 were detected by ELISA.Results:The results indicated that C6 glioma model rats treated with tumor-lysate-pulsed DCs led to prolonged survival time,increased the percentage of CD8 + T lymphocyte in peripheral blood in comparing with control group.Cytotoxicity assays suggest that vaccination with these tumor-lysate-pulsed DCs can induce specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes against C6 tumor cells compared with control group.Furthermore,significantly enhanced IFN-? and reduced IL-10 (even undetectable)were observed in rats treated with pulsed-DCs.Conclusion:Data supported the therapeutic efficacy of systemic vaccination with DCs pulsed with tumor-lysates against intracranial glioma.

Objective The objective of this article is to attempt to propose the endovascular repair principles of distal-end tear of Stanford type B aortic dissection.Methods The vascular surgery of xinjiang uygur autonomous region people's hospital received and cured 101 patients of Stanford B aortic dissection from January 2013 to January 2015.The patients are divided into two groups according different treatment principles:(1)There are 57 cases in sequential treatment group,performing endovascular repair of aortic tears from near to far,(if the tear at visceral artery is not treated then the distal-end tear is also not treated);(2) There are 44 cases in non-sequential treatment group,not performing endovascular repair of aortic tears from near to far (the tears involving visceral artery are not treated and the remaining distal-end tears are performed endovascular repair).After operation,carry out statistical analysis between two groups on the growth rate of aortic diameter of the coeliac axis,occurrence rate of main discomfort complaint,false lumen thrombosis rates.Results After operation,between the two groups,the growth rate of aortic diameter of the coeliac axis is obvious difference(P ＜ 0.05),that the sequential group is with a low rate;there are obvious differences on the occurrence rates of main discomfort complaint and false lumen thrombosis rates (P ＜ 0.05),that the sequential group is superior to the non-sequential group.Conclusions After a preliminary clinical study,we get a conclusion that when treating distal-end tears of Stanford type B aortic dissection,sequential treatment is better than non-sequential treatment.

Objective To explore the different influence of antiepileptic drugs(AEDs)at therapeutic levels to the maturation of brain.Methods 180 healthy Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were divided into infant and adult group.Each age group was administered with PB,CNP,VPA,TPM or normal saline respectively in persistent 5 weeks.The steady-state plasma concentrations of AEDs at the experimental dosage were coincided with the range of clinical therapeutic concentrations.After AEDs withdrawed,the effects of AEDs on cognitive function were assessed by Morris water maze and two-way shuttle box at different time points.Body and brain weight were got immediately when the rats were sacrificed.Histological changes of brain were observed by HE staining,Nissl staining and transmission electron microscopy.Results(1) For immature rats,1 day or 14 days after AEDs withdrawed,there were significant differences between groups exposed to PB or CNP and control group in escape response latency(ERL)in the two-way shuttle box.Even after one month ERLs of immature rats receiving CNP((6.05?2.04)s)or PB((5.81? 1.75)s)were still longer than that of untreated controls((4.75?2.43)s,P

Objective To explore the risk factors in elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus with cerebral infarction. Methods Retrospective investigarion was performed on 148 elderly hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes.The patients were classified based on the presence or absence of cerebral infarction and compared with 60 controls.Logis- tic regression analysis was used to reveal the risk factors for cerebral infarction.Results The levels of systolic blood pressure(SBP),body mass index (BMI),fasting blood glucose (FBG),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG) and plasma fibrinogen(Fg) were higher in the patients with cerebral infarction[141.15?17.46)mmHg,(23.81?3.53)kg/m~2,(8.82?2.81)mmol/L,(5.69?1.15)mmol/L,(2.08?0.75)mmol/L and (4.08?0.65)g/L] than those without cerebral infarction[(129.78?14.65) mmHg,(22.18?3.22)kg/m~2,(7.06?1.72 )mmol/L,(5.09?1.12)mmol/L,(1.62?0.43)mmol/L and (3.48?0.58)g/L].The logistic analysis showed COUR,SBP,FBG, TC,TG and Fg were the independent risk factors for cerebral infarction.Conclusion Early intervention of the inde- pendent risk factors including SBP,FBG,TC,TG and Fg in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes was important for reduction and postponement of cerebral infarction.

·AIM: To determine the effect of amniotic membrane transplantation(AMT) on the disorders of ocular surface. ·METHODS: From May 2002 to July 2007, twenty patients (20 eyes), who had an previous experienced methods of sorts, including contact lens or tarsorrhaphy, underwent AMT. ·RESULTS: The disorders were healed after the first AMT in 10 eyes (50%) within an average of 20 days after surgery and recurred in 1 eye (10%).·CONCLUSION: AMT is helpful in the treatment of the disorders of ocular surface.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA-HOTAIR in prostate cancer cells and its effects on the growth and metastasis of the cells.

METHODSUsing quantitative reverse-transcription PCR (qRT-PCR), we determined the relative expression of HOTAIR in the normal human prostate epithelial cell line RWPE-I and prostate cancer cell lines PC-3 and DU145. We detected the effects of HOTAIR on the cell cycle and invasiveness of prostate cancer cells by RNA interference, flow cytometry, and Transwell mitration assay.

RESULTSThe expressions of HOTAIR in the PC3 and DU145 cells were increased 3.2 and 5.7 times, respectively, as compared with that in the normal RWPE-1 cells. After si-HOTAIR interference, the prostate cancer cells were arrested in the G2 phase and downregulated in the G1 phase. The invasive ability of the prostate cancer cells was evidently inhibited, with the inhibition rates of 32% and 44% of the PC3 cells and 43% and 34% of the DU145 cells for si-HOTAIR1 and si-HOTAIR2, respectively.

CONCLUSIONIncRNA HOTAIR is highly expressed in prostate cancer, which is associated with the growth and invasiveness of prostate cancer cells. HOTAIR is potentially a novel marker for the diagnosis and prognosis of prostate cancer.
