Objective To discuss the imaging characteristics of endobronchial tuberculosis(EBTB).Methods Roentgenographic,CT and bronchoscopic findings of EBTB in 30 cases were retrospectively analyzed. Results X-ray plain film showed that EBTB was often in company with pulmonary tuberculosis.CT showed bronchial stenosis and bronchoscopy showed edema, inflamation and granulomatosis in bronchial mucous membrane. Conclusion X-ray,CT and bronchosopy are of important value in diagnosing EBTB.

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of performance of Engstrom Eas 9010 vaporizerMethods Using Datex Capnomac AS/3 monitored the output of Gambro-Engstrom Eas 9010 anesthetic agent vaporizer under various situations l Determing the output of vaporizer at different gas flow rates of 0 5,1 0,2 0,4 0,6 0 and 8 0 L?min -1 2 The effects resulting from up stream oxygen flushing 3 The effects due to additional nitrous oxide as carrier gas 4 Effects of different airway pressure at the same flow rate Results 1 The output of the vaporizer was highly correlated with the dial setting at various gas flow rate except dial setting was more than 8% and gas flow rate less than 0 5L?min -1 2 Upstream oxygen flush could not decrease the concentration remarkably 3 The output of the vaporizer was not affected by additional carrier gas 4 The effect on vaporizer output was not remarkable under different airway pressure at the same flow rate Conclusions The anesthetic vaporizer principle used in the Gambro-Engstrom Eas 9010 apparatus is innovative Electronically controlled vapor quanta injection is used with safety feed back Its accuracy can't be influenced by temperature, pressure and carrier gas indicating to be safely applied to the low or even minimal flow anesthesia

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 1999;0(02):-
ObjectiveTo evaluate the retinal function with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) and the fellow eyes (mf-ERG).MethodsTwenty patients (40 eyes) with unilateral CSC, diagnosed by fluorescein angiography, were examined on each eye of the patients by mf-ERG multifocal electroretinography. The patients aged from 31 to 53 (13 men, 7 women; mean age, 41 years), and the CSC eyes had visual acuities of 0.2 to 0.8. None of the patients had significant abnormality in the fellow eyes with visual acuities of 0.8 to 1.5. Twenty-four healthy people (29 normal eyes with visual acuities of 1.0 and more and without any retinal diseases) were studied simultaneously as the normal control. The stimulus matrix of 61 hexagonal elements were grouped into 5 concentric rings from the fovea outward to 30? of the degree of visual field. The first-order responses of mf-ERG were recorded. The first negative wave (N 1-wave) and positive wave (P-wave) of the mf-ERG were measured. Amplitude intensities and latechies for the two configurations were calculated and compared.ResultsCompared with the control eyes, the responses were not only depressed severely in P 1- and N 1-wave amplitude intensities in the ring 1~3 in the CSC eyes with CSC (P0.05). There were no significant differences in N 1- and P 1-wave latencies in 5 concentric rings among the control eyes, the fellow eyes or the CSC eyes.ConclusionsCSC is a kind of macular disease involving both eyes. It may cause the decrease of retinal function in macular area of CSC eyes and also influence the retinal function in macular area of the fellow eyes. mf-ERG is a sensitive way in examining visual function.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(24):-
Objective To investigate the protective effect of pentoxifylline (PTX) on bile duct in grafts against ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury and its potential mechanisms in the animal model of OLTx in miniature swines. Methods After PTX was added to the preservation solution and administrated through hepatic artery, changes of blood flow, activity of ATPase, apoptosis of epithelial cells, and pathomorphology of the bile duct were investigated in the animal model of OLTx in miniature swines. The animals were divided into IR, IR+NS, and IR + PTX groups. Results The results showed that the incidence of biliary necrosis was significantly lower in IR+PTX group than that in IR and IR +NS groups. When compared with those in IR and IR +NS groups, GGT and ALP levels, numbers of apoptosis cells, and scores of pathomorphology were significantly decreased in IR+PTX group, while blood flow, activity of Na +-K +ATPase, Ca 2+ -ATPase of bile duct in grafts were significantly elevated. Conclusion These results suggest that PTX has multiple antagonistic effects against IR injuries of the bile duct. The effects of PTX on bile duct of grafts against IR injuries are possibly correlated with the improvement of the microcirculation, preservation of the ATPase activity of the bile duct, and suppression of the apoptosis of the bile duct cells.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2013;29(6):434-436
OBJECTIVE:
To discuss the method of reducing error in estimating postmortem interval (PMI).
METHODS:
Two hundred and fifty-six solved murder cases from 2003 January to 2013 January in Changzhou and Nanjing City were collected, The PMI of all cases was estimated by traditional method and then compared with the real PMI obtained after the cases were solved. The cases were grouped according to the PMI, the accuracy was calculated, and the reasons of suboptimal PMI were analyzed.
RESULTS:
The accuracies of early PMI (less than 12h and 13-24 h) were 90% and 89%, respectively; while the accuracies of late PMI (1-7 d, 1-2 weeks, 3-4 weeks, 1-6 months, 7-12 months and 1-5 years) decreased over time, being 79%, 76%, 83%, 79%, 60% and 50%, respectively. The common reasons of estimating error included improper inference methods, water submerged body, extreme temperature, lack of objective evidence, intentionally abandoned body, and changed or destroyed scene, etc.
CONCLUSION
The multiple index data can reduce the error in estimating PMI.
