OBJECTIVE:To observe the protective effect of Zhuyu annao pill on model rats against cerebral hemorrhage. METHODS:The experimental rats were randomized to 6 groups:blank group,model group,Angong liuhuang pill group,Zhuyu annao pill high,medium and low dosage groups. Cephalophyma model of rats were duplicated with rats' autoblood clot; the neurologic impairment change was recorded by integration method; the water content of the brain tissue was measured by dry-wet specific density method; meanwhile,the changes in hemorheology,blood coagulation (4 parameters),the blood coagulation time and the histology of the morphology of brain tissue were observed. Objective To analyze the development status worldwide of nutriology,so as to provide an orientation of its development in the future.Methods The professional articles published were retrieved by information research methods to predict the focal problem,and to provide the demand and presumption of nutriology development.Results In the past 5 years,some innovative concepts and technics were widely used in nutrition studies,such as nutritional genomics,nutritional proteomics and systematic biology,etc.These technologies made it possible to study the influences of nutrients on gene and protein expression,and reversely,the influences of gene changes in nutrient related disturbances in metabolism.Advances in clinical nutritional therapy provides patients with a variety of clinical treatment and the possibility of earty rehabilitation.At present,there are some problems in the fields of nutritional therapy in our country,such as a lack of resource of professional staff,imperfect education system,deficiency in understanding the importance of nutriology,and the lag of standardization and normalization of nutrition information.Conclusions The progress of nutriology in coming five years should lay stress on the parallel development of individual and nationwide health level.A series of studies in molecular biology and systematic biology will upgrade the national physical quality and the basic health condition of population nationwide.

Objective To investigate the change of serum resistin levels in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).MethodsPolysomnography(PSG)was performed in 58 patients with OSAHS and in 26 controls without differences in age and BMI.Serum resistin levels were measured by ELISA.Results(1)Serum resistin levels were significantly higher in patients with OSAHS than those in control group.(2)FPG levels were significantly higher in patients with OSAHS than those in control group.(3)TG levels were significantly higher in patients with OSAHS than those in control group.(4)Serum resistin levels were correlated positively with FPG in obesity patients with OSAHS、nonobesity patients with OSAHS and nonbesity controls group.(5)Serum resistin levels were correlated positively with TG in obesity patients with OSAHS、nonobesity patients with OSAHS and nonbesity controls group.(6)Serum resistin levels were correlated positively with BMI in OSAHS.(7)Serum resistin levels were correlated negatively with LSaO2 in OSAHS.(8)Serum resistin levels were correlated positively with AHI in OSAHS.ConclusionDetermination of serum resistin levels may be the predictors of the severity of OSAHS and it also contributes a lot taking measures to prevent and control the OSAHS complication occurrence and reduce the mortality.

Objective: To establish a rapid approach to the detection and identification of Mycobacteria from lesions of patients with suspected Mycobacterial infections. Methods: Specimens were obtained from five patients suspected to have Mycobacterial infections. DNA extracted from clinical samples was amplified by nested PCR. The PCR products were digested with Hha Ⅰ, MboⅠ, and BstUⅠ restriction enzymes and applied to PAGE. The species of Mycobacteria were determined by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. Identification of Mycobacteria culture was also performed in 3 patients. Results: M. marinum was found in two patients diagnosed as swimming pool granuloma. M. tuberculosis was found in one patient diagnosed as infectious skin granuloma. All these 3 Mycobacteria were confirmed by Mycobacteria culture. A strain of M. tuberculosis and a strain of M. fortuitum were detected in remain two patients. Conclusion: The results above indicate that PCR-RFLP analysis is rapid and reliable in detection and identification of different Mycobacteria species from skin tissues. Application of this method will be helpful for early diagnosis and treatment of Mycobacteria skin infections.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of down-regulating epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression on Bleomycin induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice.MethodsForty 4 ～6 week aged C57BL/c male mice were randomly divided into control,bleomycin,bleomycin plus EGFR RNAi groups and RNAi negative control group.Bleomycin group were treated with bleomycin (3 mg/kg) by endotracheal injection on day 0,control group were treated with PBS.And bleomycin plus EGFR RNAi group were received EGRF siRNA plus bleomycin intratracheal administration.RNAi negative control group received negative EGRF siRNA plus bleomycin intratracheal administration.Mice were sacrificed 10 days after the treatments.Hydroxyproline (HYP) assay was performed in the lung tissue.The lung tissue slides were examined pathologically with H.E.staining,and EGFR mRNA expression was detected by reverse transcriptasepolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.Western blot were performed to identify the protein level.of total EGFR and phosphorylated EGFR.ResultsHistological examination of lung specimens demonstrated that EGFR siRNA administration lessened lung fibrosis induced by bleomycin and significantly reduced HYP content (543.00±25.89 vs 900.73±31.77,P＜0.01).EGFR mRNA (0.31±0.05 vs 0.75±0.08,P ＜0.01) and protein expression(1.53±0.47 vs 2.56±0.37,P ＜0.01) in EGFR siRNA-treated mice was significantly decreased.The expression of phosphorylation of EGFR protein (1.78±0.35 vs 2.84±0.51,P ＜0.01) and EGFR protein in RNAi group was less than in bleomycin group.Conclusions EGFR RNAi reduced the BLM-induced lung fibrosis by inhabiting EGFR activation.

Chemotherapy with or without molecule-targeting agents is the primary choice for patients with unresectable metastatic coloreetal cancer. New treatment strategies like intermittent therapy and maintenance therapy may not inferior to treatment until progression or unacceptable toxicity in maintaining the benefit for patients who responded or had stable disease after the first-line therapy,and also can reduce the drug related side effeets and improve the quality of life.

Gastric cancer stem cells are defined as a subset of gastric cancer cells that possess stem cell properties,including self-renewal and multiplex differentiation potential,and have crucial roles in tumor initiation,progression,invasion,metastasis and recurrence.Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) can facilitate the invasion and metastasis of cancer cells to distant tissues,and confer the metastatic cancer cells some abilities of stem cells.Several transcription factors of EMT,signaling pathways and microRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in the process of regulating gastric cancer stem cells.

Objective To summarize and analyze the failure reason of internal fixation operation in peritrochanteric fractures and propose appropriate prevention measures.Methods The clinical data of 229 patients with peritrochanteric fractures were retrospectively analyzed,the failure reason of internal fixation was analyzed by the univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis.Results The univariate analysis showed that the patients' age,gender composition,types of internal fixation had no significantly correlated with the failure of internal fixation (P ＞ 0.05) ; the Garden reset index,bone quality,fracture type and load time had significantly correlated with the failure of internal fixation (P ＜ 0.05).The multivariate Logistic analysis showed that load time was the independent risk factors for fixation failure (OR =13.515).Conclusion The weight-bearing time points should be selected according to the bone quality,fracture type,and degree of intraoperative reset,thereby reducing the risk of surgery failure.

Objective To study the effect of transmembrane tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TM-TNF-αt) on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells,and explore the correlations with silencer of death domain (SODD).Methods The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was detected by immunocytochemistry.The expression of SODD in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells undisposed and after disposed with TM-TNF-α was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction,and the influence of TM-TNF-α on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells was analyzed.Results The positive rate of PCNA in undisposed human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells was 80.3％ (155/193),in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells disposed with TM-TNF-α was 46.7％ (85/182),there was statistical difference (P ＜ 0.05).The cycle index of polymerase chain reaction in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells was 28 times,the amplification product was disposed by 2％ agarose gel electrophoresis,the gray scale disposed by TM-TNF-α and undisposed human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells were 1.377 ± 0.170 and 0.815 ± 0.040,there was statistical difference (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion TM-TNF-α has obvious cytotoxic effect on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells in vitro which may due to its up-regulating the expression of SODD.
