Objective To study the effect of intestinal trefoil factor(ITF) on nuclear factor-?B(NF-?B) in neonatal rats intestinal tissues with necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC),and to discuss whether ITF had protective function in NEC,and its role in the mechanism of NEC.Methods Fifty neonatal rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:group A as control group,group B as control plus ITF 0.2 mg group,group C as NEC group,group D as NEC plus normal saline(NS),group E as NEC plus ITF 0.2 mg.NEC models of neonatal rats were established.On the 4th day,all subjects were put to death.The intestinal tissue located at the boundary of ileum and cecum were obtained to observe histological changes and NF-?B level.Results The density of NF-?B(p65) increased significantly in group C and D compared with those in group A,B and E(Pa

Through classroom instruction, experimental teaching, quality assessment and tracking survey, the evaluating process of the training quality of training teaching is performed.Therefore, the teaching reform of the laboratory animal science based on the training of practitioners is established.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of operation treating spinal multi-level tuberculosis.Methods45 patients with multi-level spine tuberculosis were treated with debridement completely and anterior or lateral-anterior intervertebrae autograft. Of them, 5 patients added to anterior instrumentation.Results45 patients had been followed up for 12 to 40 months.The back pain of 40 cases were relieved within 5 weeks after operation, erythrocyte sedimentation rate decreased 3 weeks after operation. 38 patients who involved in kyphosis decreased their kyphosis mostly and only one patient lost 3 degrees in follow-up.15 patients who involved in neurological deficits improved one or two grades (Frankel). Grafts fused in 44 patients and there were no recurrent in follow-up.Conclusions Operative treatment is efficacious to multi-level body spine tuberculosis.

Objective To explore the application value of DOSE index score in the peitients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods 122 cases of plateau COPD patients were followed up for 12 months,and we recorded and analyzed the patient's health and life.We also recorde FEV 1 and DOSE scores of the patients with COPD,and record the COPD risk events,including the number of respiratory failure and death,and the times of hospitalization,total such confinement,outpatient expenses,hospitalization expenses,mMRC,and scored in the number of exacerbations,etc.Results The DOSE index score was negatively correlated with FEV1％ pred (r=0.73,P ＜ 0.05) for 122 COPD patients,and were positively correlated with mMRC (r=085,P ＜ 0.01),the annual number of exacerbations (r=0.71,P ＜ 0.01),respiratory failure (r=0.65,P ＜ 0.01),heart failure (r=0.50,P ＜ 0.01),number of outpatient service (r=0.12,P＜0.01),hospitalization time (r=0.70,P＜0.01),the totalsuchconfinement (r=0.66,P＜0.01),outpatient expenses (r=0.13,P＞ 0.13),hospitalization expenses (r=0.65,P＜0.01).ROC curve was used to analyzed the cut-off point and curve area of COPD DOSE index.Conclusion The DOSE index is a simple COPD assessment tools,and is closely related to the prognosis of patients and health.

In the present study, a risperidone loaded microsphere/sucrose acetate isobutyrate (SAIB) in situ forming complex depot was designed to reduce the burst release of SAIB in situ forming depot and to continuously release risperidone for a long-term period without lagime. The model drug risperidone (Ris) was first encapsulated into microspheres and then the Ris-microspheres were embedded into SAIB depot to reduce the amount of dissolved drug in the depot. The effects of different types of microsphere matrix, including chitosan and poly(lactide-coglycolide) (PLGA), matrix/Ris ratios in microspheres and morphology of microspheres on the drug release behavior of complex depot were investigated. In comparison with the Ris-loaded SAIB depot (Ris-SAIB), the complex depot containing chitosan microspheres (in which chitosan/Ris = 1 : 1, w/w) (Ris-Cm-SAIB) decreased the burst release from 12.16% to 5.80%. However, increased drug release rate after 4 days was observed in Ris-Cm-SAIB, which was caused by the high penetration of the medium to Ris-Cm-SAIB due to the hydrophilie of chitosan. By encapsulation of risperidone in PLGA microspheres, most drugs can be prevented from dissolving in the depot and meanwhile the hydrophobic PLGA can reduce the media penetration effect on the depot. The complex depot containing PLGA microspheres (in which PLGA/ drug=4 : 2, w/w) (Ris-Pm-SAIB) showed a significant effectiveness on reducing the burst release both in vitro and in vivo whereby only 0.64% drug was released on the first day in vitro and a low AUC0-4d value [(105.2± 24.4) ng.mL-1.d] was detected over the first 4 days in vivo. In addition, drug release from Ris-Pm-SAIB can be modified by varying the morphology of microspheres. The porous PLGA microspheres could be prepared by adding medium chain triglyceride (MCT) in the organic phase which served as pore agents during the preparation of PLGA microspheres. The complex depot containing porous PLGA microspheres (which were prepared by co-encapsulation of 20% MCT) (Ris-PPm-SAIB) exhibited a slightly increased AUC0-4d of (194.6±15.8) ng.mL-1d and high plasma concentration levels from 4 to 78 days [Cs(4-78d)=(7.8±1.2) ng.mL-1]. The plasma concentration on 78 day C78d was (9.0 2.5) ng.mL-1 which was higher than that of Ris-Pm-SAIB [C78d= (1.6 ± 0.6) ng.mL-1]. In comparison with Ris-Pm-SAIB, the AUC4-78d of Ris-PPm-SAIB increased from (379.0±114.3) ng.mL-1.d to (465.0 ±149.2) ng.mL-1.d, indicating sufficient drug release from the Ris-PPm-SAIB. These results demonstrate that the risperidone loaded porous PLGA microsphere/SAIB in situ forming complex depot could not only efficiently reduce the burst release of SAIB depot both in vitro and in vivo, but also release the drug sufficiently in vivo, and be capable to continuously release the drug for 78 days.

Objective To evaluate the effect of near infrared heptamethine cyanine dye IR-783-mediated specific tumor imaging in spontaneous tumor of dogs .Methods IR-783 was intraperitoneally injected to nude mice models of transplanted tumor in a dose of 5μmol/kg.The metabolic time course of IR-783 was detected by in vivo imager .Based on the results of above observation , IR-783 was injected to dogs with spontaneous tumor in a dose of 1.5μmol/kg.The site of intravenous injection was the hind leg .Tumor and peri-tumoral tissues were removed at 5 days after IR-783-injection for fluorescence imaging , pathology and frozen section fluorescence examinations .Results After i.p.IR-783 injection to nude mice models of transplanted tumor , the transplanted tumor tissues of nude mice had stronger specific fluorescence than normal tissues by imaging at 8 days after injection .After i.v.IR-783 injection to four dogs with spontaneous tumor , the fluorescence signal in the tumor tissues was stronger than that in the normal tissues at 5 days after injection .Conclusions Near infrared fluorescent dye IR-783 could be specifically taken up by tumor tissues , and can be used for specific diagnosis of tumor.It has an important clinical application prospect .

In this paper, the process performance indexes (PPIs) P(p) and P(pk) were introduced and applied to evaluate the process capability and quality consistence of Chinese medicine products. The historical quality analysis data of Qingkailing injection were collected and taken as the research object. The confidence intervals of P(p) and P(pk) were estimated based on the Bootstrap sampling methods. Results showed that the value and width of the confidence interval P(p) of were smaller that of P(pk) suggesting that the P(pk) index was more sensitive than P(p) in process capability analysis. Within the production period concerned, the P(pk) values estimated from different quality indexes of Qingkailing injection, such as baicalin, cholic acid, geniposide and total nitrogen, were 1.122, 2.055, 1.564 and 0.891, respectively. It could be found that the cholic acid had the highest process capability, followed by the geniposide and baicalin. The total nitrogen had the lowest process capability, indicating that it is necessary to reinforce the quality management of total nitrogen related manufacturing processes. The case studies demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of PPIs, which are convenient to be used in production practice of Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Shen warming Pi strengthening method on expressions of serum T cell subsets (C045+%, C03+%, and C04 +/COB+) in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-0) rats. Methods An IBS-0 rat model was established referring to AL-Chaer's modeling method combined with tail clamp and intragastric administration of sanna leaf. After modeling 30 SO rats were randomly divided into 6 groups according to random digit table, i.e., the model group, the high, middle, low dose Wenshen Jianpi Recipe (WJR) groups, and the Sishen Pill control group, 6 in each group. A normal control group consisting of 6 SO rats were also set up. Rats in high, middle, low dose WJ R groups were administered by gastrogavage with boil-free WJ R at the daily dose of 3. 100, 1. 550, 0. 775 g/kg, respectively. Rats in the Sis hen Pill control group were administered by gastrogavage with boil-free Sis hen Pill at the daily dose of 0. 736 g/kg. Equal volume of normal saline was given by gastrogavage to rats in the model group and the normal control group. All medication lasted for 2 successive weeks. Rats' general state, expressions of T cell subsets (CD45+%, CD3+%, and CD4+ /CDB+) changes were observed.

RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, expressions of CD45+% and CD3+% increased, but CD4+ /CDB+ decreased with statistical difference (P < 0. 05). Compared with the model group, expressions of CD45+% and CD3+% decreased, but CD4+ ICDB+ increased with statistical difference in high, middle, low dose WJR groups, and the Sis hen Pill control group (P <0. 05). Compared with the Sis hen Pill control group, there was statistical difference in all indices except CD45+ value in the low dose SWPSM group (P <0. 05). Compared with the low dose WJ R group, the expression of CD3+% decreased in high and middle dose WJR groups, and the Sis hen Pill control group; CD4+ /CD8+ increased in the Sishen Pill control group and the high dose SWPSM group (all P < 0. 05).

CONCLUSIONSWJR showed better treatment effect. The mechanism of Shen warming Pi strengthening method might be achieved by regulating expressions of CD45+% and CD3+%, and CD4+ /CD8+ ratios.

AIM: To observe the effects of porous polyethylene ( Medpor) as a spacer graft in the reconstruction of large areas eyelid defect after the operation of malignant tumors of lower eyelids.
METHODS: Nineteen cases ( 19 eyes ) of malignant tumors of lower eyelid underwent the eyelid reconstruction were selected. Medpor lower eyelid inserts implantation were used to replace tarsal joint sliding conjunctival flap and pedicle flap, and repaired full -thickness lower eyelid defects then underwent eyelid reconstruction.
RESULTS: Appearance of eyelids and functional improvements were satisfactory with no stimulation on the eyeball and no effect on the visual function. Implants is with no absorption, shift, exclusion or infection and no tumor recurrence in all cases during the follow up for 6-36mo.
CONCLUSION: Medpor lower eyelid inserts implantation can instead tarsal plate for the reconstruction of medium to large areas lower eyelid defect, which is easy performing with rare complications. It is an ideal alternatives of tarsal plate.
