International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2009;30(6):542-544,547
Objective To study the expression levels of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma, and discuss the role of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 gene in the occurrence and development of human osteosarcoma,as well the relationship between their expression levels and Ennecking staging. Methods SP immunohistochemical staining assay was applied to detecting the expression levels of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in 30 aptients with osteosarcoma, and the results were analyzed with SPSS11.0 software. Results The positive rate of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma was respectively 73.3% and 86.7%.There were prominent differences of positive rate of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 between osteosarcoma and osteochondroma groups. The expression rates of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein had no significant difference among osteosarcoma Ennecking grade Ⅰ to grade Ⅲ respectively. In osteosarcoma group,no correlation existed between the expression rates of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3(P>0.05).Conclusion Although the occurrence and development of human osteosarcoma are correlated with the dropout of apoptosis, they are implicated in a complicated course participated by multiple genes and procedures.Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 gene play a certain role partly.SP immunohistochemical staining assay shows a higher sensitivity in detecting the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma;however, their expression levels were not correlative to Ennecking staging. Therefore, the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 may not be used as the criteria of the malignant degree and prognosis of osteosarcoma.
2.The protective effect of low dose whole body γ-irradiation on dopaminergie neuron in C57 mice
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2009;30(5):446-448
Objective To study the possible protective effect of low dose whole body γ-irradia-tion on dopaminergic neuron. Methods In 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-in-duced injury mice model, the levels of dopamine (DA) and its metabolites in striata of mice were detec-ted by igh performance liquid chromatogram (HPLC), and neurons (dopaminergic neuron, activated gitter cell and horizontal cell) were counted by immunohistochemical staining after low dose whole body irradiation. Results 3.5 Gy irradiation significantly restored the levels of DA and its metabolites decreased by MPTP. Conclnsion Low dose whole-body γ-irradiation does offer neuroproteetion againstMPTP- mediated damage of striatal dopaminergic nerve fibers.
3.Recent advances of molecular targeted therapy in small cell lung cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(7):524-527
Molecular targeted agents for small cell lung cancer have been introduced in great many clinical trials in recent years. The classes of targeted agents include antiangiogenic agents, growth factor receptor inhibitors,Bcl-2 inhibitors,SCR kinase inb.ibitors, recombinant molecules N-901 and inhibitors of the sonic hedgehog signaling pathway. The class of antiangiogenic agents, including bevacizumab and thalidomide,is be-ing evaluated in phase Ⅱ and Ⅲ trials. The tyrosine and Scr kinase inhibitors are being evaluated in phase Ⅰ and Ⅱ trials. The recombinant molecule, N-901 is undergoing phase Ⅱ testing in patients with relapsed small cell lung cancer. The other pathways undergoing evaluation for the development of pharmacologic agents include inhibiturs of bcl-2 and sonic hedgehog signaling, which are being tested in the earliest phases of clinical evalua-tion. Primary data shows small cell lung cancer is not sensitive to targeted therapy and further studies are re-quested.
4.Value of magnetic resonance imaging-guided minimally invasive treatment in glioma and its metastatic tumor
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2016;43(11):467-470
Minimally invasive treatment has received increasing attention in the field of tumor therapy. Imaging-guided ablation (phys-ical or chemical) and 125I particle implantation have recently become first-line therapies for malignant tumors. A comparison with com-puted tomography, ultrasound, or digital subtraction angiography (DSA) illustrates that magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) shows ex-treme superiority in both intracranial tumor diagnosis and interventional therapy. Nevertheless, MRI also has a deficiency. This study aims to discuss the value of an MRI-guided minimally invasive treatment in glioma and its metastatic tumor.

7.Optimization and application of temporal bone scanning parameters
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(01):-
Objective To optimize the temporal bone scanning parameters, upgrade the picture quality, shorten the scanner time, and decrease the radiographic exposure during the scanning. Methods The scanning was performed on 20 volunteers using 16 spiral CT in the same position and range with optimizer parameters and general parameters respectively, and then the volume data were collected. Results Through comparision and analysis of the images of the 20 volunteers, 17 of them using the optimizer parameters were better than those using general ones, 2 of them showed no obvious difference, and 1 was not as good as the general one. Conclusions Through the experiment and the statistics of 1000 cases using optimizer parameters, the picture quality using optimizer parameters is better, the scanner time is 1/7 of the general scanning, and the radiographic exposure is decreased. Optimizer parameters are better than the general ones and worth popularizing.
8.Effect of silodosin, an alpha1a-adrenoceptor antagonist, on benign prostatic hyperplasia in rat
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(2):199-202,207
Objective To investigate the effect of silodosin,a selective alpha1 a-adrenoceptor antagonist on a rat model of testosterone-induced benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and its mechanisms. Methods The rats were divided into three groups:control,testosterone-induced BPH,and silodosin +BPH groups.BPH was induced by subcutaneous injection of testosterone [20 mg/(kg · d)] for 4 weeks.Meanwhile silodosin + BPH groups rats were administered silodosin 4 weeks [100 μg/(kg · d)].After 4 weeks, all animals were sacrificed to examine the blood biochemical profiles, prostate volume, weight, histopathological changes, and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)/lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) protein expressions. Results Each group showed an increase compared to their initial body weight;however, differences in weight change between groups were not significant (P > 0.05).The BPH group displayed lower glucose levels than the control group. The serum levels of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) and glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT) were not significantly different among groups (P > 0.05).The group treated with silodosin showed significantly lesser prostate size and weight than the testosterone-induced BPH group [volume:(0.93 ± 0.14) cm3 vs (1.75 ± 0.15)cm3,P <0.01;weight:(0.97 ±0.06)g vs (1.30±0.05)g,P <0.01].In addition, silodosin decreased the expressions of EGFR and BCL-2 in prostate tissues (P < 0.05).Conclusions These results suggest that silodosin suppress the development of BPH by inhibiting the expressions of EGFR and BCL-2.
9.Separation and Analysis of Drug Resistance of Staphylococcus Aureus in Patients with Respiratory Infection of Children
Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2016;31(3):150-152,155
Objective Discuss and analyze Staphylococcusaureus in isolation and drug resistance in patients with pediatric re-spiratory infection, providing guidelines for clinical treatment on the control of infection.Approaches collect 5 413 cases of respiratory tract infection from Jan.2013 to Dec.2014 in patients (including pediatrics neonatology)with sputum specimens, applying MicroScan-As4 automated Microbes Identification analyzer to identify and test drug sensitiveness of the separated strains, using Whonet 5.6 for statistical analysis. Results 1 540 strains of 29 different pathogenic bacteria were isolate from pediatric patients with respiratory tract infection, among which there were 336 strains (21.82%,336/1540)of Staphylococ-cus aureus (SAU,S.aureus),more than 1/5 of the total of pathogenic bacteria. And the isolation rate of pediatric respiratory tract infection accounted for 6.2 1%,significantly higher than that of other pathogenic bacteria isolation rate (with the excep-tion of Haemophilus influenzae>5%,the rest all<5%).In all detected SAU,methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)occpied 59 strains (17.56%,59/336),which indicated that SAU played a leading place in patients with pediatric respiratory infection. The antimicrobial drug resistance rate of SAU against vancomycin,Nai thiazoleamine, daptomycin, and Quinupristin was 0,whereas to other antibiotics it showed different degrees of resistance. The drug resistance rate of MRSA to penicillin and ampicillin,oxacillin,ampicillin/sulbactam,amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and cefazolin, ceftriaxone was 100%,to erythromycin, clindamycin over 50%,to other antimicrobial resistance in low resistance. Conclusion There were more SAU in children with respiratory infection;especially MRSA bears multi drug resistance. Therefore, the monitoring of drug resist-ance of Staphylococcus aureus should be strengthened, and antimicrobial drugs should be rationally chosen according to the results of drug sensitive test for individuals,so that resistant strains can be under effective control and kept being reduced from emergence.
10.Study progress of listeria mononucleosis in children
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2016;31(10):729-732
Listeria disease (LD) is a zoonosis, caused by Listeria monocytogenes (LM),the main route of transmission is foodborne spread, can cause outbreak.Pregnant women and their fetuses or neonates, older adults, and persons with underlying conditions that impair cell-mediated immunity are at a particularly high risk of invasive listeriosis. The gastroenteritis, meningitis and bacteremia are the common clinical feature.LD in children is rare.It can cause the neonates sepsis and central nervous system infection.Because of the natural resistance to cephalosporins, the choice of antibiotics seemd more important.By this article,LM in children and benefit for clinical work was recognized.
