Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2016;32(9):663-667
Objective To make recommendations on the development of private hospitals,by means of investigation and analysis of their business operations. Methods Quantitative and descriptive analysis were used to study business operation data from 2011 to 2013 of the 172 private hospitals,in order to learn their present status and development trends. These data were compared with public hospitals in average to identify problems. Results The revenue and expenditure of theses private hospitals increased at a fast pace, with a revenue growth rate of 22.0% and an expenditure growth rate of 15.7% in 2013.Number of visits gradually improved, with an increase of 12.9%.But the rate of bed occupancy was only 68.1%,lower than the average of public hospitals. Conclusions In view of the low resource utilization, the authors recommend such hospitals to improve hospital management systems, and uphold the integrity of business,so as to compete with public hospitals differentially.

Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of amiodarone in the treatment of the elderly patients with ventricular arrhythmia. Methods 136 elderly patients with ventricular arrhythmia were randomly divided into the observation group (n =68cases) and control group (n =68cases).The observation group was given amiodarone by intravenous to treat the elderly ventricular arrhythmia, and patients in the control group were treated with combination therapy. After treatment for 4 weeks, the treatment outcomes were observed and compared. Results The obvious effective rate and total effective rate of the observation group was 51.47%,92.65%).which were significantly higher than those in the control group (51.47 %,92.65 %) (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse effect between the two groups (P > 0.05).Conclusion Amiodarone has good clinical effect in treatment of elderly patients with ventricular arrhythmia,it is worthy of clinical use.

Objective To explore the protein expression of p53 and PTEN in osteosarcoma and the relationship between them and the three-year survival ratios of osteosarcoma patients. Methods The protein expression of p53 and PTEN was detected using immunohistochemical methods in 53 cases of osteosarcoma proved by surgery and pathology. Results There was significant difference between the both kind of relationship with the protein expression of PTEN and the three-year survival ratios of osteosarcoma patients who had negative expression of p53. There was no significant difference between the both kind of relationship with the protein expression of PTEN and the three-year survival ratios of osteosarcoma patients who had positive expression of p53. PTEN expression, which was analysed by logistic regression, was entered the regression model ,but p53 expression was not. Conclusion PTEN expression is more important than p53 expression in predicting the prognosis of the patient with osteosarcoma.

Objective To investigate the effects of SAHA on the differentiation of human hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)SMMC-7721 cells. Methods Cell morphology was examined by light microscopy;Cell viability was determined by MTT assay; The expression of Alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)was analyzed with immunocytochemistry;Flow cytometry(FCM)was used to investigate the cell cycle; The expression of p21 WAF1 mRNA was detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.Results Light microscopy showed that SMMC-7721 cells induced by SAHA underwent restorational alterations in morphology which were different from those of nontreated cells but were similar to those of normal cells;MTT assay showed that SAHA inhibited the proliferation of SMMC-7721 cells in a dose-dependent and time-dependent way;Immunocytochemistry assay showed that the expression of AFP and PCNA decreased significantly;FCM analysis showed SAHA could arrest SMMC-7721 cells at G0/G1 phase, with an accumulation of the cells at G0/G1 phase while a decrease of cells at S phase;Semi-quantitative RT-PCR detection revealed that the expression of p21 WAF1mRNA was upregulated remarkably in the cells treated with SAHA.Conclusion SAHA could induce differentiation of human HCC SMMC-7721 cells inhibiting enzymatic activity of HDAC,upregulating the expression of p21 WAFlmRNA as well as causing arrest of HCC cells at G0/G1 phase.

Objective To explore the role of humall papillomavims (HPV) type 16 E6 variants in the persistent infection and recurrence of the cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) after conization. Motheds During May to June 2012, 100 HSIL patients with HPV16 positive but negative at the margin after Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) were selected from Shanghai People′s Hospital of Pudong District. The gene sequencing was done to the E6. The patients were followed up for 2 years. The E6 gene sequencing was done again to detect the HPV16 variants among those with persistent infections and recurrence. Results Among the 100 cases, E6 variants were detected, 81% of them HPV E6 variants Asian prototype, 14% European variant; 2% European prototype (EP) and 3% African variant 1. LEEP for Asian prototype was susceptible to the clearance of HPV16 (P < 0.001). The European variants of T350G, and A442C were correlated with persistent infection and recurrence (P < 0.001). Conclusion The HPV16 variant is closely related to the HSIL incidence. HSIL caused by HPV16 in Pudong New Area of Shanghai belong to the Asian type variant. The European variants of E6 , T350G/A442C were likely related to the recurrence of HPV16.

Objective To prepare a targeted antitumor drug delivery system using large-inner-diameter multi-walled carbon nanotubes (LID-MWCNTs) for sustained release and to study its performance. Methods LID-MWCNTs were puri?fied and oxidized, then use nanocarriers and USTs as homologous blockers. Folic acid and fluorescent labels were conjugat?ed onto the external surfaces of nanocarriers. CDDP (cisplatin) was encapsulated and ultrashort tubes (USTs) were employed to block the drug entry/exit paths. The microstructure of resulted drug delivery system (DDS) was observed, while drug load?ing efficiency and drug release profile in vitro were determined. The tumor-targeting property and cytotoxicity of DDS were also assessed. Results LID-MWCNT based sustained release targeted drug delivery system was established. Drug loading efficiency of CDDP@UST-FA-LID-MWCNTs was as high as 70.97%. A typical biphasic sustained release pattern was dem?onstrated, and the accumulating release time was 18 h. DDS exhibited a certain kind of tumor-targeting property, and inhibit?ed proliferation of tumor cells in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion CDDP@UST-FA-LID-MWCNT drug delivery system exhibited an improved drug loading efficiency and a sustained drug release profile. It could specifically target the tu?mor cells and had a significant antitumor effect.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2014;37(33):16-18
Objective To explore the reference values of peak expiratory flow (PEF) for 4.0-14.0 years old children in Chengdu. Methods From November 2011 to May 2012,a total of 446 healthy children were enrolled in this study.PEF was measured using expiratory peak velocimeter and lung function meter.Children's age, sex, height and weight were recorded.Impact factors for PEF were investigated by multiple stepwise regression analysis. Results The PEF detected by expiratory peak velocimeter and lung function meter had a good correlation (r =0.920,P < 0.01).Boys own higher peak expiratory flow rate than girls. The level of PEF had the best correlation with height, next was weight and age.The level of PEF increased with the increase of height, age. Some children PEF value was less than 80% lower limits of lower limits of normal. The PEF could be obtained from height and age. Conclusions Males and females PEF can be calculated according to children's height.Set up the PEF equation about the expiratory peak velocimeter and lung function meter.
