2.Study on the oral contraceptive pill use in Ha Noi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh city
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;494(11):40-42
The study on the oral contraceptive pill use in 722 women at reproductive age in 2003 was reported that: The highest rate of use oral contraceptive pill in the group of women at 26-49 years old (92.1%); Women educated from primary to high-school levels accounted for 74.1%; Women with 1-2 children accounted 84.5%; For income 60.6% of women with the range from 300000-700000VND/monthly. The most popular contraceptive pill was Ideal (76.2%). Adverse effects of taking pill were nausea (17.9%) and putting on weight (11.9%).

3.Study on the femur length chart by ultrasound to treat gestational age and estimate either gestational development is normal or malformation
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;296(3):28-34
Study on the correlation between the femur length and gestational age from 14-30 weeks. Determination of numeric value table of femur length in correlation with centesimal line 5, 10, 50, 90 and 95 to make a basis to built fetus’s femur length chart, applying to monitor normal or malformation status of fetus. The results: fetus’femur length have a closely correlation with gestational age belong to a second-class function: y = 0.0019x2 +0.2377x + 11.1892, r = 0.97, in which, x = gestational age, y = femur length. Based on this chart, the accuracy of the dating random error about 1 week. The earlier, the estimation of gestational age, the more accurate

4.Ultrasonic crown-rump length (CRL) measurement of fetus in assessing gestational age
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;458(8):28-31
Study the correlation of fetal crown-rump lengtht (CRL) measurement and gestational age of 6 to 14 weeks in 100 pregnant women. Results: there is a close correlation between CRL measurement measured by ultrasound and gestational age, with correlation function y = 0.86x2 - 7.53x - 18.78; correlation coefficient r = 0.998. Thus ultrasound can be used to measure CRL for diagnosis of gestational age, with the range was within 3.7 days of menstrual age. The rate of change in CRL was 7 mm/week between 7-10 weeks and 13.5 mm/week between 11-14 weeks

5.Study on ethnic specifility of growth adjusted sonographic age of Vietnam
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;285(6):32-39
The biparietal diameters (BPD) chart may not be used universally to define pregnancy date. The results of this study proved obviously that the prediction of gestational age (GA) by using the BPD chart 1 (Vietnam) and BPD chart 2 (Europe) are significantly different: Approximately acurate prediction < 7 days: 75.2% (chart 1) and 20.8% (chart 2); Pregnancy dating error > 7 days: 16.8% (chart 1) and 79.2% (chart 2); Maximum error: 16 days (chart 1) and 28 days (chart 2); GA prediction lower than actual GA: 36% (chart 1) and 95.2% (chart 2). Chart 2 is less accurate than chart 1 as a predictor of gestational age in Vietnam

6.To find the correlation between abdomen perimeter and the fetal natural age from 28 to 41 week age
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;469(12):39-41
The relationship between the growth of fetal abdominal circumference and the fetal age was determined by ultrasonography during the 28-41 weeks of gestation in 123 normal pregnancy. A closed correlation was identified and an equation was established

7.Osteoarthritis and some related factors in farmers at the age of over 40 years old in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;512(5):23-25
Study of osteoarthritis and related factors in 406 farmers at the age of over 40 years old in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province. The results: overall rate of osteoarthritis was 32.5%. In female, the rate was higher than in male (male/female ratio =1/3). These factors, which affected to osteoarthritis, were: aged, menopausal women, high BMI index, knee joint’s deformity caused by trauma, numerous delivery. The symptom of bone thorn in tomography accounted for 78% in symptomatic group and 36% in non-symptomatic group.

8.Ultrasonic measurement of biparietal diameter in combining with analytical computer for determining fetal age
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;425(5):14-16
660 times of measurement of biparietal diameter in combining with analytical computer were performed on 74 female subjects of 16-42 week age of pregnancy (9 times for each subjects) to determine the fetal age. Results showed a close relation of biparietal diameter and fetus age. The speed of growth of biparietal diameter was high initially then lower gradually, with the age of 16-30 weeks, BD grown up 3 mm each week, and with the age of 31-37 weeks: 2 mm and 38-40 weeks: 1 mm

9.Study on method to estimate post-term pregnancies
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;296(3):52-56
192 pregnancy were hospitalized to monitor post-term infant with fetal age over 42 weeks and fetal condition suffered from Clifford syndrome. The results showed that: fluid index examination by ultrasound are selective method to diagnose fetal suffered from early Clifford syndrome. The cut-off value of 40 mm amniotic fluid index is considered as a Clifford’s syndrome marker. This is a good method of choice for monitoring the postterm infant

10.The interorbital distance relation with the gestational age
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;6(6):37-39
Background: In the first 3 months of pregnancy, gestational age to calculate one can measure fetal size bag, the butt length of the embryo pregnancy by ultrasound. After 3 months, estimated gestational age based on peak diameter, femur length, diameter of the cerebellum, the average diameter of two eye holes.\r\n', u'Objectives: Measure and analyze the structure of the fovea, the average diameter of the fovea, as measured two other indicators of the fetus on ultrasound. Learn more connections with the diameter of the fetal development, with gestational age, peak diameter.\r\n', u'Subjects and method: Measuring the interorbital distance of the fetus for pregnant women with regular MP from 28-30 days by ultrasound and with gestational age from 14 weeks of gestation on. Using 2D ultrasound, measuring the indicators of the fetus as the distance between the fovea, peak diameter, transparent front wall, two-hump peak.\r\n', u'Results:The results showed that: there\u2019s a relation between the diameter of the orbital distance with its gestational age. It is demonatrated as followed: Y=0.7873x + 4.0273 with R = 0.8412. The distance between the fovea and peak diameter correlated by the equation Y = 2.1719x + 4.4799 v\u1edbi R = 0.7517. It is more easy and accurate to measure the interorbital distance for pregnancy in second trimester. \r\n', u'Conclusion: Basing on this result, whenever the pregnant woman could not remember exactly the first day of her last MP or her MP is long, we can use the graph of this relation to estimate the weight of the fetal and the day of delivery.\r\n', u'
