Chinese Journal of Interventional Imaging and Therapy 2009;6(4):305-308
Objective To evaluate the inhibitory effect on the VX2 tumor of rabbit with CT-guided percutaneous high-temperature pingyangmycin lipiodol injecting. Methods New Zealand white rabbits were performed to plant rabbit VX2 tumor in the left liver leaf. After two weeks, all the rabbits were scanned with CT and divided into 5 groups randomly, and every group was injected different temperature pingyangmycin combined with lipiodol, then the effect was evaluated after 2 weeks. Results Compared with control group, the volume of VX2 tumor in every group injected high-temperature lipiodol reduced obviously (P<0.05), and the necrosis rate of hepatic transplant tumor increased significantly (P<0.05) as the temperature increased. MVD value of the tumor and VEGF expression obviously reduced (P<0.05), there was a positive relationship between MVD value and VEGF expression with the temperature. Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous high-temperature pingyangmycin lipiodol injecting can inhibit the VX2 tumor growth and tumor angiogenesis formation obviously, and the higher temperature, the better the therapeutic effect.

Two kinds of incorrect cultivation modes were existed since the launch of cultivation for professional degree postgraduate of clinical medicine:taking professional degree postgraduates as scientific degree postgraduates to cultivate or taking scientific degree postgraduates as professional degree postgraduates to cultivate. In this paper, taking the cultivation of oncologic professional degree postgraduates as example,we put forward some suggestions:strengthening clinical skill training, promoting thinking mode of evidence-based medicine and enhancing clinical trial and statistical training.

Objective To assess the quality of life (QoL) of rural elderly persons using the health-related dimensions of the EuroQol-5 (EQ-5D) scale to analyze the scale's reliability and validity. Methods A total of 2575 elderly residents of Tongchun rural community in Kaihua county,Zhejiang Province, were surveyed using the instrument EQ-5D,and the visual analogue scale of EQ.They included 1027 with and 1548 without chronic disease. Results The mean total EQ-5D score was 6.49 ± 1.94 for the chronic disease group and 5.15 ± 0.44 for the healthy group. The corresponding average visual analogue scale (VAS) scores were 78.15 ± 17.26 and 91.47 ± 4.37,showing significant differences.About 75% of the elderly respondents reported no difficulties in their living. There was strong correlation between the EQ-VAS scores and the scores on all the EQ-5D scale dimensions. Conclusion The health-related quality of life reported by the rural elderly using this scale seems quite good. The EQ-5D scale, with the EQ-VAS scale as a part of it,is one useful and effective tool for evaluating the health-related quality of life of the elderly in rural areas.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Object To establish the process of purification for ?-linolenic acid from the fruit oil of Camptotheca acuminata Decne.. Methods Complexometry by AgNO 3 was applied. Results The optimal conditions: the AgNO 3 concentration was 4 mol/L, the complexometric temperature was lower than 15 ℃, and the complexometric time was 2 h. The purity of ?-linolenic acid was 91.25%. Conclusion The concentration of ?-linolenic acid from the fruit oil of C. acuminata can reach to 45.8%, therefore it is a new abundant resource for ?-linolenic acid. ?-linolenic acid can be well purified in the fruit oil by this process.

Objective To present the clinical features and to evaluate interventional therapy for Budd-Chiari syndrome in Chinese youth. Methods From January 1990 to April 2012,227 cases who hospitalized at the age < 29 underwent color Doppler ultrasound scan and digital subtraction angiography (DSA).87 cases were with occlusive inferior vena cava (IVC type),105 cases with occlusive hepatic veins (HV type) and 35 cases with occlusive inferior vena cava and hepatic veins (MIX type). The occlusive veins were opened by percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA),endovascular stent placement, intravenous catheter thrombolysis or combination.Postoperative anticoagulation was given to all patients. Results The symptoms and signs of portal hypertension disappeared or were alleviated in successful cases.Technical success was achieved in 210 patients. The success rate was 100% in IVC type,85.7% in HV type and 94.3% in MIX type.IVC pressure decreased from (26.52 ± 8.16) cm H2O to (14.28 ±4.08) cmH2O(P < 0.05) and HV pressure dropped from(35.70 ± 13.26) cm H2O to(18.36 ±8.16) cm H2O (P <0.05).Restenosis or occlusion was found in 21.4% (45/210) patients after a follow-up of 1 month to 15 years. The rate was 13.8% (12/87) in IVC type,31.1% (28/90) in HV type and 15.2% (5/33) in MIX type. These patients were managed by interventional procedures.Technical successwas achieved in 44 cases with restenosis. Conclusions Hepatic vein occlusion was the most common type of BCS in Chinese youth. The symptoms and signs of portal hypertension were the initial clinical manifestations.Postoperative recurrence rate in HV type was higher than that in the other two types.

Objective To explore the value of vascular enhancement technology (VET) in the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy of stenting for Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS).Methods Two-dimensional ultrasound, color Doppler and VET were performed on 39 BCS patients with 41 stents, the static and dynamic images of stents and vessels with stents were stored.VET and two-dimensional ultrasound imaging quality of intravascular stent were compared.Patients with stent stenosis found by ultrasound were examined by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).The ranges of stent thrombosis were measured by DSA and VET and the difference was compared. Results VET image quality scores of endovascular stent were higher than those of the two-dimensional ultrasound, the difference was statistically significant. The ranges of stent thrombosis measured by VET were similar to DSA.Conclusions VET can improve the clarity of intravascular stents.VET and color Doppler can enhance the clinical value of ultrasound in the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy of stenting for BCS.

Objective To explore the value of the application of vascular enhancement technology (VET) in the diagnosis of Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) and the evaluation of the therapeutic efficacy of interventional therapy. Methods B-mode ultrasound, color Doppler and VET were performed on 93 patients with BCS for the systematic detection of intrahepatic vessels and the inferior vena cava (IVC),with the static and dynamic images of these vessels stored prior to interventional therapy.Subsequent to the operation, the same procedures were repeated on the vessels concerned and the images were recorded. The definitions of B-mode and VET images of the detected vessels were compared by two sonography experts.Regarding DSA as standard, the diagnostic accordance rate of VET and B-mode imaging of the diseased vessels was compared. Results Of the 613 vessels detected prior to intervention therapy,440 vessels images were distinct by B-mode and 533 by VET(P<0.05).VET demonstrated 37 intrahepatic collaterals which were invisible by B-mode.Regarding DSA as the gold standard, the diagnostic accordance rate of affected vessels of B-mode and VET was 69.2% and 92.5%,respectively(P<0.05).In total 103 therapeutic vessels,B-mode sonography and VET revealed 81 and 95 distinct vessels,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusions VET can improve the definition of veins and venous stents. The combination of VET and color Doppler can improve the clinical value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of BCS and evaluation of the therapeutic efficacy of interventional therapy.
