Objective To analyze clinical pathological characteristics of gastric cancer in elderly people, and to study the characteristics of gastric cancer incidence. Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data of gastric cancer in elderly people which were diagnosed by gastroscopy and pathology from 2003 to 2008 was undertaken, and compared to it in young people at the same period about gender, clinical symptoms, lesion, pathological types. Results There were 70 cases of men(77.8%)and 20 cases of woman(22.2%)in elderly group, but there were 3 cases of man(25.0%)and 9 cases of woman(75.0%)in young group, there wsa significant difference between two group(P <0.01);The first symptoms in elderly group and young group were loss of appetite(50 cases,55.6% and 1 case,8.3%),thin and weak(38 cases,42.2% and 1 case,8.3%).difficulty swallowing(23 cases,25.6% and o case),anehia(29 cases ,32.2% and 2 cases,16.7%),upper abdominal pain(34 cases,37.1 % and 4 cases,33.3%)re spedtively. There was no significant difference between two group(P > 0.05).The lesion of gastric cancer in two group were funds of stomach and cardia(39 cases,43.3% and 1 case,8.3%),antral(26 cases,28.9% and 7 cases,58.3%).body of stomach(22 cases,24.4% and 4 cases,33.3%).entire stomach(3 cases,3.3% and 0 case)respectively. There was significant difference between two group(P <0.05).The main of pathological types was abeno carcinoma.and the main in elderly group was moderate, high differentiation(85%),and the main in young group was moderate, low differentiation(59%).There was significant difference between two group(P < 0.05).Conclusions The symptoms of gastric cancer in elderly people was non-specific,and it had more complications. We found that early diagnosis of gastric cancer in elderly people was difficult and it had poor prognosis.

We report the prenatal diagnosis and treatment of a case of primary right pulmonary deficiency. A routine ultrasound examination at 23 +6 weeks of gestation found an absent right lung, enlarged left lung, and dextroposition of the heart in a female fetus. Karyotype and chromosome microarray analysis of the amniotic fluid was normal. After multidisciplinary consultation, the pregnant woman chose to continue the pregnancy and had a normal delivery at 39 +2 gestational weeks. Apgar scores were ten at both 1 min and 5 min after birth, with no abnormal appearance of the baby, or signs of thoracic collapse other than no obvious respiratory sounds in the right lung. Both postnatal chest X-ray and CT scan indicated an undeveloped right lung. Cardiac ultrasonography revealed the absence of the right pulmonary artery and vein. The patient's breathing was stable during hospitalization and she was discharged eight days after birth. The infant was followed up at five months, and the growth and development were comparable to children of the same age.

Objective: To compare the inhibitory effect of carmustine(BCNU) and bleomycin on craniopharyngiomas in vitro. Methods: Cells were successfully cultured in vitro from the fresh specimens, then the culture medium with bleomycin or BCNU at different concentration was added. The tumor inhibitory curve-line was drawn based on the cell number at different time points. After cultured for 144 h, ATP-luminescence assay was applied to test the antitumor effect. Results: The cell number decreased rapidly when the medium was added. The decreasing speed was faster in BCNU medium than that in bleomycin medium at the same concentration. The bleomycin medium showed no significant inhibitory effect except for the one at 1.00 g/L. However, regardless of the concentration, BCNU medium inhibited the cells effectively. Conclusion: BCNU has stronger inhibitory effect on craniopharyngiomas cells than bleomycin, it can be used to treat this tumor

BACKGROUND:Excessive accumulation of uric acid in the body can lead to diseases such as hyperuricemia and gout, which is a risk factor for cardiovascular and renal dysfunction. Many sports medicine organizations at home and abroad advocate the formulation of exercise prescription to prevent and treat chronic diseases, but this method has not been effectively carried out in the prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia. OBJECTIVE:Based on an overview of the formation of hyperuricemia and the regulation of uric acid by exercise and its related mechanisms,to condense a program suitable for popular exercise to prevent and assist in the treatment of hyperuricemia, and to propose precautions to be taken when exercising for patients with different stages of hyperuricemia. METHODS:PubMed and CNKI were searched for relevant literature published before October 2023 using the keywords of"uric acid, gout, aerobic exercise, strength training,high-intensity interval training, obesity"in English and Chinese, respectively.Initial screening was done by reading the titles and abstracts to exclude repetitive studies and literature with irrelevant content, and finally 64 papers were included for review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The formation of hyperuricemia is caused by excessive synthesis of uric acid by the liver, insufficient excretion by the kidneys,or both.Exercise can improve the uric acid level in the body by regulating the activity of antioxidant enzymes, the expression of uric acid excretion protein and lipid metabolism.Aerobic exercise, strength training,high-intensity intermittent exercise can effectively regulate uric acid levels, reduce inflammation, promote the expression of uric acid excretion protein and lipid metabolism, and achieve good results in the prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia.Currently, there is a lack of research on the mechanisms underlying direct regulation of uric acid levels by exercise, and future studies need to explore in greater depth the possible mechanisms of regulation of uric acid levels by exercise and refine the effects of different exercise modalities on patients with different characteristics of hyperuricemia.
