Aim To study mRNA and protein expression of eNOS in pulmonary tissue of chronic hypoxic pulmonary hypertension(HPH)rats and chronic hypoxic rats treated with novel KATP opener iptakalim. Methods sixty Sprague-Dawley(SD)male rats were randomly divided into control group, hypoxic group, low dose iptakalim group(0.75 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1)), and high dose iptakalim group(1.5 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1)).Except the first group, the other three groups were put into hypoxic and normobaric chamber (10%±0.5% O_2,8 h/day and 6 day/week) to establish chronic hypoxic model. After four weeks, the mean pulmonary arterial pressure(mPAP), RV/(LV+S)and the plasma concentration of NO were measured. RT-PCR was performed to analyze the mRNA expression of eNOS in pulmonary tissue. Western blot was performed to analyze the protein expression of eNOS, iNOS in pulmonary tissue. Results ① The level of mPAP and RV/ ( LV + S) were significantly higher in the hypoxic group than those in control group ( P < 0. 05 ) , Low dose iptakalim groupandhighdoseiptakalimgroupdecreased the level of mPAP and RV/( LV + S) significantly (P <0. 05). ② The level of NO was significantly lower in the hypoxic group than those in control group (P<0. 05). Low dose iptakalim group and high dose iptakalim group increased the level of NO significantly (P < 0. 05 ). ③ The mRNA and protein expression of eNOS in the hypoxic group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0. 05 ). Low dose iptakalim group and high dose iptakalim group increased the expression of eNOS significantly ( P < 0. 05). High dose iptakalim group was more significant. Conclusion Pulmonary vascular endothelial dysfunction is induced by chronic hypoxia, and the level of NO, the mRNA and protein expression of eNOS are decreased. Iptakalim can improve the vascular endothelial dysfunction, increase the expression of eNOS and the level of NO and reverse hypoxic pulmonary hypertension.

Objective To explore the gender difference in clinical features and outcomes of elderly patients with coronary true bifurcation lesions after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods A total of 169 consecutive patients were included in the study, who were diagnosed coronary true bifurcation lesions by coronary angiography (CAG)and received PCI in our hospital from December 2013 to December 2015.All patients were divided into 2 groups according to their gender (71 femals and 98 males).Angiographic characteristics of the coronary lesions and clinical data were analyzed in both groups.Clinical outcomes during follow up were recorded and studied. Results The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in the female group were significantly higher than in the male group (all P<0.05).The levels of BUN,Cr,UA,CyC and TBIL in the female group were significantly lower than in the male group (all P<0.05).Comorbidity rates of hypertension and diabetes were higher in female patients without significant differences (P>0.05).The median follow-up time was 17 months and the incidence rate of overall adverse events in women was higher than that of men (25.4% vs.11.2%, P<0.05).Conclusions The clinical outcomes of elderly patients with coronary true bifurcation lesions after PCI had gender differences. The rates of adverse events in female patients was found significantly higher than male patients.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the application of the plantar horn shaped fasciocutaneous perforator flaps for the reconstruction of the defects on heel and fore plantar.
METHODSThe proximal end of the plantar fasciocutaneous perforator flaps were at the edge of defects. The deep fascia was cut off at the both sides of flaps. The plantar fascia should be included into the flaps. Then the flaps were rotated to cover the defects, containing two or three perforators. If necessary, the original supplying vessels could be cut off to facilitate the advancement of flaps.
RESULTSFrom Jan. 2010 to Oct. 2012, 7 cases with plantar defects were treated with the horn shaped perforator flaps. The defects size ranged from 1.5 cm x 2.0 cm to 4.0 cm x5. 0 cm with the size of the flaps ranging from 7 cm x 3 cm to 13 cm x 7 cm. All the flaps survived completely with primary healing both on donor and recipient sites. The flap color, texture, function and appearance were satisfactory during the follow-up period of 3-24 months.
CONCLUSIONSThe plantar horn shaped perforator flap can reconstruct the defects at plantar weight-bearing area with the similar thick skin tissue, which facilitates the functional reconstruction. No skin graft is necessary for the defect at donor site.

OBJECTIVESTo establish a method for screening neonatal tetanus (NT) in high risk areas in China using multi-sources data.
METHODSWe adopted six NT-related indicators from National Notifiable Disease Report System (NNDRS) and National Maternal and Child Health Annual Report System, to calculate weighted high-risk score at prefecture level in 2010 and 2011. And we selected the top 30 high risk cities, and compared the scores with the actual NT incidence ranking and WHO scoring.
RESULTSThe highest areas distributed in the Southwest of China with poor and minority population, and the Southeast part with high density of migrants. In the leading 30 prefectures with high score between the methods of weighted high-risk scoring and reported NT incidence ranking, there were 8 different. In comparison of the results of the methods of weighed high-risk scoring and WHO scoring, 276 prefectures in 340 distributed were divided into the same ranking groups, with Kappa coefficient 0.56 (P < 0.01). The Chi-Square association coefficient was 0.74 (P < 0.01), which showed a high correlation. But there were 10 different prefectures in the leading 36 prefectures between the two methods.
CONCLUSIONThe weighted scoring method included several possible factors influencing NT incidence and took their weights into consideration. Thereby, compared with WHO scoring method, this method could be more appropriate for the reality in China.

Seasonal outbreaks of airsacculitis in China's poultry cause great economic losses annually. This study tried to unveil the potential role of Avian metapneumovirus (AMPV), Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) and Chlamydia psittaci (CPS) in avian airsacculitis. A serological investigation of 673 breeder chickens and a case-controlled study of 430 birds were undertaken. Results showed that infection with AMPV, ORT, and CPS was highly associated with the disease. The correlation between AMPV and CPS were positively robust in both layers and broilers. Finally, we determined the co-infection with AMPV, ORT, and CPS was prevalent in the sampled poultry farms suffering from respiratory diseases and the outbreak of airsacculitis was closely related to simultaneous exposure to all three agents.
