3.CT Evaluation of Tuberculous Meningitis
Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate the CT features and its diagnostic value in tuberculous meningitis(TBM).Methods Forty patients who had clinically proved TBM and each was performed with CT scans and enhanced CT were retrospective studied. Results CT scans showed abnormalities consistent with TBM in 36 cases(90%) whereas others(4 cases)were normal.Abnormalities were visualized on CT scans included basal exudate in 22 cases, hydrocephalus 36 cases, infarcts 11 cases and tuberculomas 9 cases. Conclusion The most characteristic findings with TBM are exudates in the basal cisterns and Sylvian fissures. It is essential in studying CT scans of TBM to make a note of the associated changes such as hydrocephalus, infarction and tuberculomas. These factors have a bearing on the plan of treatment.Surgical intervention should be considered after a conservative treatment if the tuberculoma consistent exists,or progressive ventricular enlargement are identified on CT.
4.Association of multidrug resistance gene MDR1 C3435T polymorphism with tumor incidence and treatment outcome
Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(2):86-89
Multidrug resistance gene MDR1 C3435T polymorphism influences tumor incidence and treatment outcome. Carcinogenic substances are easier to accumulate in tissue for T allele patients, so TT genotype patients are more likely to develop into breast neoplasms, stomach neoplasms and colorectal neoplasms.Besides, the chemotherapy treatment outcome for patients with both C3435T TT genotype and wild-type KRAS is the best. However, due to ethnic, regional and sample differences, the relationship between C3435T polymorphism and stomach neoplasms 、colorectal neoplasms is still unclear.
5.Analysis of safety of minimally invasive embedding.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2016;36(2):184-186
The technique of minimally invasive embedding simplifies the clinical manipulation of embeddingtherapy and relieves painful patients. The safety of minimally invasive embedding is analyzed in terms of manipula-tion apparatuses, embedding materials, operating techniques and possible adverse reactions, etc. It is expected thatthe evidence of popularizing minimally invasive embedding should be provided.

6.Expression change of serum total prostate specific antigen with age and its significance in differential diagnosis of prostate cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2017;29(1):39-41
Objective To evaluate the changes of serum total prostate specific antigen (TPSA) with age and its significance in differential diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa) and prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods TPSA and free prostate specific antigen (FPSA) in 146 cases of PCa, 108 cases of BPH and 210 cases of healthy subjects were detected by electrochemiluminescence. Results There was a positive correlation between age and serum TPSA level (r=0.265, P<0.01). The levels of TPSA in PCa and BPH groups were (85.40 ±56.70) μg/L and (7.90 ±7.00) μg/L, and the difference was statistically significant (t=8.310, P= 0.001); FPSA levels were (5.16±4.90) μg/L, (1.50±1.36) μg/L, and the difference was statistically significant (t= 3.152, P= 0.030). In patients with TPSA levels ranging from 4.0 to 20.0 μg / L (diagnostic gray zone), the levels of TPSA in PCa and BPH groups were (8.82±4.01)μg/L and (8.41±3.95)μg/L, and the difference had no statistical significance (t= 0.198, P= 0.256); The levels of FPSA were (1.18 ±0.91) μg/L and (2.32±1.20) μg/L, the ratio of FPSA/TPSA were 0.12±0.08 and 0.24±0.23, and the differences were statistically significant (t= 23.56, P= 0.020; t= 32.45, P= 0.006). When FPSA/TPSA ratio was 0.16, its sensitivity and specificity for PCa were 84.4%and 79.8%, respectively. Conclusions Serum TPSA levels vary with age, and 95 % of all age groups should be used as the medical criterion to improve the specificity and accuracy of PSA in diagnosing with PCa. The ratio of FPSA/TPSA has a significant clinical value in differential diagnosis of PCa and BPH in patients with TPSA indiagnostic gray zone.
7.Fostering Medical Student's Comprehensive Capability by Reforming Runctional Sciences Experimental Teaching
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(02):-
The comprehensive capacity of medical students means mainly the medical operating skill, and the ability toresolve the practical troubles by integrating the knowledge of multisubject, and creative capability. For a long time, inthe teaching of many madical colleges, importance has been attached to imparting the basic theory and knowledge, rather than to fostering the comprehensive capacity of medical students. In 1999, the Medical College of ShandongUnivesity incorporated the physiological, phamacological, pathophisiological and psycological experiment and inte-grated them as a independent experimental curriculum-the functional science experiment. Many years practice showsthat the functional science experiment is a good platform or carrier to foster the comprehensive capability of madicalstudents.

Objective:To explore the curative effect and adverse reactions of cisplatin combined with rIL-2 on malignant pleural effusion. Methods:Totally 60 cases of patients with malignant pleural effusion were randomly divided into the observation group ( 30 cases) and the control group (30 cases). In the observation group, 30 cases were given intrapleural injection of cisplatin and rIL-2 af-ter the pleural effusions were drained, and in the control group, the patients received intrapleural injection of cisplatin. Both of the two groups were observed of tumor response and drug adverse reactions, compared the quelity of life and immune function indicators before and after treatment. Results:The response rate in the observation group was 83. 3%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (56. 7%) (P<0. 05). The improvement of Karnofsky score in the observation group was 86. 7%, which was also nota-bly higher than that in the control group(63. 3%) (P<0. 05). After the treatment, CD4 level and CD4/CD8 were significantly in-creased in the observation group(P<0. 05), while those in the control group were notably decreased (P<0. 05), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions shew no significant difference between the two groups (P>0. 05). Conclusion:Cisplatin combined with rIL-2 shows confirmed effects in the patients with malignant pleural effusion.
