Objective To explore the clinical significance of epigenetic modification factors and metabolites in the early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pancreatic cancer by detecting the levels of circulating nu-cleosomes,lactic acid and pyruvate in the serum of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, patients with other pancreatic tumors and healthy people. Methods A total of 26 patients with pancreatic ductal ade-nocarcinoma admitted to Peking University Third Hospital from January 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the experimental group. The other pancreatic tumor group included 8 cases of solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas,11 cases of serous cystadenoma of the pancreas, and 9 cases of neuroendocrine tumor of the pan-creas.Another 26 healthy individuals who underwent outpatient examinations during the same period were se-lected as the health control group.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and targeted metabolomics were used to detect the expression levels of circulating nucleosomes, lactate, and pyruvate in serum,respectively.SPSS26.0 statistical software was used for multivariable statistical analysis to compare whether the difference in serum expression in the experimental group, other pancreatic tumor group and the health control group was statistically significant, and the metabonomics results of pancreatic cancer patients at different stages in the public database were analyzed by bioinformatics. Results There were statistically significant differences in the expression levels of lactate(P<0.001),pyruvate(P<0.001),and circulating nucleosomes(P<0.001)be-tween the experimental group and the health control group, suggesting that the three had high sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Moreover, the expression levels of the three in the serum of the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the serum of other pancreatic tumor group, suggesting that these could be used to distinguish the types of pancreatic tumors. The serum ex-pression levels of the three in other pancreatic tumor group were significantly higher than those in the health control group, which were expected to become new risk indicators for pancreatic tumors.Among them, pyruvic acid showed the most significant difference in the combined model.Bioinformatics analysis indicated that pyru-vate and lactate were differential metabolites in patients with pancreatic cancer at different stages. Conclusion Circu-lating nucleosomes, lactic acid and pyruvate have high sensitivity and specificity among the three groups, which could be used as new markers of pancreatic cancer.

Colorectal cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in China. Studies have shown that more than 50% of patients with colorectal cancer will experience metastasis. After systematic treatment, patients with resectable colorectal cancer could obtain favorable 5-year survival rate. However, patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastasis constantly obtain poor prognosis. In spite of the development of medical treatment, patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastasis can be treated by multiple approaches, such as interventional therapy combined with targeted therapy and immunotherapy, clinical efficacy is relatively low. Hence, clinicians divert extensive attention to liver transplantation. Liver transplantation, as an emerging treatment in recent years, is expected to improve clinical prognosis of patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastasis. In this article, research progress in liver transplantation for patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastasis was reviewed, mainly including the historical overview, recent results, prognostic factors, adaptation criteria, relationship with systemic treatment, liver source shortage and donor allocation, aiming to provide reference for liver transplantation for patients with colorectal liver metastasis.

Phytoremediation plays an important role in the treatment of heavy metal pollution in soil. In order to elucidate the mechanism of salicylic acid (SA) on copper absorption, seedlings from Xuzhou (with strong Cu-tolerance) and Weifang Helianthus tuberosus cultivars (with weak Cu-tolerance) were selected for pot culture experiments. 1 mmol/L SA was sprayed upon 300 mg/kg soil copper stress, and the photosynthesis, leaf antioxidant system, several essential mineral nutrients and the changes of root upon copper stress were analyzed to explore the mechanism of copper resistance. The results showed that Pn, Tr, Gs and Ci upon copper stress decreased significantly compared to the control group. Meanwhile, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoid decreased with significant increase in initial fluorescence (F0), maximum photochemical quantum yield of PSⅡ (Fv/Fm), electron transfer rate (ETR) and photochemical quenching coefficient (qP) content all decreased. The ascorbic acid (AsA) content was decreased, the glutathione (GSH) value was increased, the superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) activity in the leaves were decreased, and the peroxidase (POD) activity was significantly increased. SA increased the Cu content in the ground and root system, and weakened the nutrient uptake capacity of K, Ca, Mg, and Zn in the root stem and leaves. Spray of exogenous SA can maintain the opening of leaf stomata, improve the adverse effect of copper on photosynthetic pigment and PSⅡ reaction center. Mediating the SOD and APX activity started the AsA-GSH cycle process, effectively regulated the antioxidant enzyme system in chrysanthemum taro, significantly reduced the copper content of all parts of the plant, and improved the ion exchange capacity in the body. External SA increased the content of the negative electric group on the root by changing the proportion of components in the root, promoted the absorption of mineral nutrient elements and the accumulation of osmoregulatory substances, strengthened the fixation effect of the root on metal copper, and avoided its massive accumulation in the H. tuberosus body, so as to alleviate the inhibitory effect of copper on plant growth. The study revealed the physiological regulation of SA upon copper stress, and provided a theoretical basis for planting H. tuberosus to repair soil copper pollution.
