Objective To investigate effect of combination of rosuvastatin and dual antiplatelet therapy on the serum CRP, cerebral vascular event recurrence rate and carotid artery plaque in cerebral infarction patients.Method 60 cerebral infarction patients were seleted and divided into the control group and the experiment group by different treatment(n=30).Two groups were treated by corresponding drugs.The serum levels of IMT, CRP, plaque area, plaque number and the cases of recurrent cerebral vascular events after 6 month were compared after treatment a month.Results Compared with the control group after treatment,the serum CRP were lower(P<0.05),the recurrence rate of cerebral vascular events were lower(P<0.05),the IMT value, patch area and the number of carotid plaques were lower(P<0.05).Conclusion Rosuvastatin and dual antiplatelet combination therapy has good clinical effect for cerebral infarction patients,and have the clinical guiding significance.

Objective To investigate the risk factors for hemorrhagic transformation (HT) and poor outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke after mechanical thrombectomy.Methods The patients with acute ischemic stroke received mechanical thrombectomy were enrolled retrospectively.The demography,vascular risk factors and other clinical data of the patents were collected.The modified Rankin scale (mRS) was used to evaluate the clinical outcomes at day 90.Good outcome was defined as mRS score 0-2.The patients were divided into either a HT group or a non-HT group according to their HT conditions.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify the independent risk factors for HT and poor outcomes.Results A total of 48 patients with acute ischemic stroke received mechanical thrombectomy were enrolled,including 25 males (52.1％).Their mean age was 64.77± 9.14 years.The mean National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score was 17.70 ± 3.77.Twenty-two patients (45.8％) occured HT,of which 9 were symptomatic HT;24 (50.0％) had good outcomes.The proportion of males in the HT group was significantly lower than that in the non-HT goup (30.4％vs.72.0％;x2 =8.293,P =0.004),while the proportions in patients with diabetes (65.2％ vs.36.0％;x2 =4.090,P =0.043) and atrial fibrillation (78.3％ vs.44.0％;x2 =5.880,P =0.015),as well as the baseline fasting blood glucose level (8.514 ± 4.400 mmol/L vs.6.354 ± 1.472 mmol/L;t =2.319,P =0.025) were significantly higher than those in the non-HT group.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the atrial fibrillation (odds ratio [OR] 6.136,95％ confidence interval [CI] 1.617-23.291;P =0.042) was a risk factor for the occurrence of HT after mechanical thrombectomy.The proportion of diabetic patients (29.2％ vs.70.8％;x2 =8.333,P=0.04) and baseline NIHSS score (16.050±4.865 vs.19.210±4.423);t=2.310,P=0.026) of the good outcome group were significantly lower than those of the poor outcome group,while the proportions of patients in atrial fibrillation (75.0％ vs.45.8％;x2 =4.269,P =0.039),anterior circulation stroke (87.5％ vs.62.5％;x2 =4.000,P =0.046) middle cerebral artery (75.0％ vs.29.2％;x2 =10.113,P =0.006),vertebral basilar artery (37.5％ vs.12.5％;x2 =10.113,P =0.006) occlusion and parenchymal hematoma (33.3％ vs.4.1％;P=0.011) were significantly higher than the poor outcome group.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes (OR 5.898,95％ CI 1.699-20.479;P=0.005),baseline NIHSS score (OR 1.167,95％ CI 1.011-1.347;P =0.035),and parenchymal hematoma (OR 1.295,95％ CI 1.099-1.875;P=0.028) were the independent risk factors for poor outcomes.Conclusions Atrial fibrillation is an independent predictor of HT risk in patients with acute ischemic stroke after mechanical thrombectomy.Diabetes mellitus,higher baseline NIHSS score,and concurrent brain parenchymal hematoma are the independent predictors of poor outcomes.Therefore,the risk of HT and adverse outcomes should be fully assessed before mechanical thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

OBJECTIVE To optimize the parameters of passive cutaneous anaphylaxis(PCA)in rats immunized by ovalbumin(OVA). METHODS 1-2 month-old Sprague-Dawley rats were immu?nized by ip injection of OVA(0.2,1.0 and 5.0 mg per rat)mixed with complete Freund′s adjuvant once every other day 3 times. Serum was collected on the 12th-16th days after final immunization. Then the rats were intracutaneously injected with sensitized serum and then stimulated by iv injection of the same dose of OVA mixed with Evans blue after a latent period of 0.5,1.5,3,6,12,24,36,48 and 60 h. Finally,the diameters of blue spots in the skin were measured at stimulation. RESULTS Serum total-IgE(T-IgE)and OVA-specific IgE(sIgE)levels increased significantly and reached the peak on the 3rd-7th days and 12th-16th days after final immunization,respectively. There was no correlation between the serum T-IgE level and OVA-sIgE level when the rats were immunized with OVA at OVA 0.2-5.0 mg per rat. The rats experienced PCA after injection of OVA 1.0 and 5.0 mg per rat. Diameters of blue spots in the skin reached the maximum value after rats were sensitized for 0.5-3 h. Moreover,the shape,color and size of blue spots were better 30-60 min after stimulation. CONCLUSION Optimized PCA is as follows:1-2 month-old rats are immunized on the 1st,3rd and 5th days by ip injection of OVA 1.0-5.0 mg. The immunizing serum is collected at 12-16 d after final immunization. The rats are stimulated by OVA and Evans blue after a latent period of 0.5-3 h. Diameters of blue spots in rats′ skin are then measured 30-60 min after stimulation.

Objective To explore the correlation between clinical distribution characteristics of streptococcal pharyngitis in children and seasonal variations in Ziyang area, so as to provide basis for disease prevention and control. Methods A multistage and stratified random sampling technique was used to investigate 583 children with streptococcal pharyngitis attending Ziyang first people's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023. The clinical data were recorded. The pharyngeal specimens were cultured for streptococci test. The number of streptococcal pharyngitis cases per season was counted. The metereological conditions (average barometric pressure, temperature, rainfall, and wind speed) were recorded. Pearson method was used to discuss the correlation between metereological factors and streptococcal pharyngitis onset. Results A total of the 583 children, 329 were male and 254 were female. The main age of onset was 7-12 years old, with a total of 227 cases (38.94%), followed by 199 cases (34.13%) aged 3-6 years old, 126 cases (21.61%) aged 1-2 years old, and 31 cases (5.32%) under 1 year old. A total of 614 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected, of which 479 strains of Streptococcus hemolyticus were dominant, accounting for 78.01%, followed by 175 strains of Streptococcus pyogenes, accounting for 28.50%. Seasonally, 192 cases of streptococcal pharyngitis occurred in spring, 51 in summer, 72 in autumn and 268 in winter. In Ziyang, spring and winter were characterized by high mean wind speeds and barometric pressure, while summer and autumn were characterized by high mean temperatures and heavy rainfall. Pearson correlation analysis revealed that the prevalence rate streptococcal pharyngitis was positively correlated with average wind speed and barometric pressure (P<0.05), and negatively correlated with mean temperature and rainfall (P<0.05). Conclusion In Ziyang, streptococcal pharyngitis occurs mostly in children over 5 years old, and the main pathogen is Streptococcus hemolyticus. The onset of the disease is mostly in spring and winter, which is closely related to the seasonal variations of the region.

Objective : To investigate the role and mechanism of bone formation caused by the ratio of advanced platelet-rich fibrin (A-PRF) and β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) in rabbit femur defect model, which provides a new idea for clinical treatment of bone defect. Methods : Twenty-four New Zealand white rabbits were divided into model group, 1∶1 complex group (A-PRF∶β-TCP=1∶1), 2∶1 complex group (A-PRF∶β- TCP=2∶1) and 4∶1 complex group (A-PRF∶β- TCP=4∶1）, with 6 rabbits in each group. Femoral defect models were constructed in each group. In the composite group, the bone defect was filled with composite material, while in the model group, no material was filled. After 8 weeks, the animals were euthanized and specimens were collected. Bone mineral density (BMD), bone volume fraction (BV/TV), trabecular thickness (Tb.Th), trabecular separation (Tb.SP) and trabecular number (Tb.N) in femoral defect tissue were measured by micro-CT and photographed. Hematoxylin - eosin staining was used to detect the pathological changes of new bone tissue. The morphological changes of the new bone tissue were observed by scanning electron microscopy. Determination of phospho-mitogen activated protein kinase p38 (p-p38MAPK), CCAAT/enhancer binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) and phospho-cysteine aspartic protease-3 (p-Caspase3) in newborn femur by ELISA. The mRNA expressions of osteoprotegerin (OPG), bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2), receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) and p38MAPK were detected by real-time quantitative PCR. The expression of OPG, BMP-2, RANKL, p-p38MAPK and p-Caspase3 protein in the new bone tissue was observed by immunohistochemistry. Results : In the model group, bone formation in the femoral defect area was slow and osteogenic quality was poor. Compared with the model group, the bone formation and neocapillaries of femoral defect area in the complex group was good, BMD, BV.TV, Tb.Th, Tb.N were increased, and Tb.Sp were decreased, the expressions of p-p38MAPK, CHOP and p-Caspase3 were decreased, and the mRNA and protein expressions of OPG and BMP-2 were increased. The mRNA expression of RANKL and p38MAPK was decreased. Apoptosis in new bone tissue of each group showed the lowest apoptosis rate in samples of the 2∶1 complex group (P<0.05); A-PRF: β-TCP=2∶1 ratio has the best osteogenic effect. Conclusion The complex composed of A-PRF and β-TCP can promote the expression of OPG, inhibit the expression of RANKL and phosphorylation of p38MAPK, reduce the apoptosis of new bone tissue cells, and promote osteogenic differentiation.

The carotid initima-media thickness(CIMT)in 78 cases of type 2 diabetic patients was measured.The level of plasma endogenous secretion receptor for advanced glycation end-products(esRAGE)in patients with normal CIMT was higher than those with chickened CIMT[(0.257 3±0.165 6 vs 0.155 4±0.0701)μg/L,P<0.01].esRAGE was negatively associated with CIMT(r=-0.247,P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that CIMT was negatively associated with esRAGE and hish density lipoprotein cholesterol,but was positively associated with age.

The plasmodium of Physarum polycephalum is a suitable eukaryotic cell for cell cycle investigation, but there is no compatible transient expression system for the plasmodium. Using the promoter and terminator of ardC actin of Physarum polycephalum substituted the CMV IE and SV40 polyA of plasmid pDsRedl-N1, using cassette PardC-MCS-DsRed1-TardC substituted the cassette PardC-hph-TardC of plasmid pTB38, we constructed plasmids pXM1 and pXM2 for transient expression of red fluorescent protein (RFP) in Physarum polycephalum respectively. After reconstituting the transcription elongation factor homologous gene (pelf1) of Physarum polycephalum into the pXM2, we generated a plasmid pXM2-pelf1. After the plasmid pXM1, pXM2 and pXM2-pelf1 were electroporated into the plasmodium of Physarum polycephalum, we observed optimum RFP and PELF1-RFP expression under fluoroscope and confocal microscope between 24-48 h after electroporation, and found that ELF1-RFP expression was accumulated in nucleus of microplasmodium, the optimum electroporation parameters were 40 V/cm electric field, 1 ampere current, and 70 micros electric shock time. The results suggest that this expression system is qualified for transient expression of specific protein in plasmodium of Physarum polycephalum.

Objective:To explore the association between the frequency of using smoking cessation application (APP) and the effect of smoking cessation in smoking cessation clinic.Methods:A clinical trial with a non-randomized controlled design was conducted in the smoking cessation clinic of China-Japan Friendship Hospital from July 2019 to June 2021. Participants were given a comprehensive smoking cessation intervention of mobile APP combined with bupropion. The primary outcome measures were carbon monoxide validated sustained abstinence at 9-12 weeks.Results:A total of 187 participants were included in the final analysis. After 12-week intervention, the sustained abstinence at 9-12 weeks was 42.2%. For the frequency of APP use, 20.9% (39/187) of the participants used it≥6 days per week, 62.0% (116/187) used it 2-5 days per week, and 17.1% (32/187) used it≤1 day per week. Multivariate analysis showed that smoking cessation rate was associated with smoking duration, cigarettes smoked per day and frequency of APP use. Participants with higher frequency of APP use had a higher likelihood of quitting smoking ( OR=4.95, 95% CI: 1.32-18.63). Conclusion:The increased frequency of mobile smoking cessation APP use is associated with higher probability of quitting smoking in smoking cessation clinic.

Deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (DTMS) is a novel non-invasive neural regulation technology developed on the basis of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation; it adopts the Hesed coil (H-coil), which can stimulate wider range of cerebral cortex and deeper brain regions without increasing the stimulation intensity; Currently, it has been applied to the treatment of depression and other mental diseases. In this paper, we review the research status of DTMS in Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, motor dysfunction after stroke, and aphasia.

Objective To evaluate the quality of animal studies into acupuncture for glaucoma using SYRCLE's risk of bias tool,ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines,and the GSPC checklist.Methods Databases from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,Sinomed,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase and Cochrane Library were searched to find animal research articles on acupuncture for glaucoma.Risk of bias was assessed for the included studies using the SYRCLE's tool,and reporting quality was evaluated using the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines and GSPC checklist.Statistical analysis was performed by Excel and SPSS software.Results Thirty articles met the inclusion/exclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis.Six of the 10 items of the SYRCLE's tool had a low-risk rate of＜50％,and the non-low-risk items focused on selectivity bias,implementation bias and measurement bias.Twelve of the 22 essential sub-items of the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines had a low-risk rate of＜50％;9 of the 16 recommended sub-items had a low-risk rate of＜50％;and 12 of the 19 subentries of the GSPC list had a low-risk rate of＜50％.Randomization,blinding,ethical statements,housing and husbandry,animal care and monitoring,and protocol registration were the non-low-risk items in the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines and GSPC list.Conclusions The quality of the methodology and experimental reporting of animal studies into acupuncture for glaucoma are generally low,and the description of several items is not yet complete,which affects the readers'judgment on whether the result of animal studies can be translated to clinical studies.It is advisable to further promote the use of SYRCLE's tool and reporting guidelines for animal experiments to enhance the design,performance,and reporting of animal experiments;ensure the reproducibility of experiments and result;and provide reliable evidence for the translation of result to the clinic.
