Objective:To construct a Nomogram model in predicting recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) at six months, one year and two years after hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) resection by using inflammatory markers combined with other routine clinical indicators. Methods:The data of 314 patients with HCC who underwent first time hepatectomy at Beijing Chaoyang Emergency Rescue Center and Air Force Characteristic Medical Center from January 2013 to January 2018 were analyzed. HCC patients who underwent hepatectomy at the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital from January 2011 to January 2016 ( n=106) were used as the external validation group. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional risk model was used to analyze independent risk factors of recurrence and death in HCC patients. A Nomogram model was constructed based on independent risk factors. Validation of the efficacy of the Nomogram model was done based on external data. Results:In the experimental group, 174 patients relapsed. The median RFS was 26 months. The 6 months, 1 year and 2 years RFS were 26.8%, 43.9%, and 68.8%, respectively. A total of 142 patients had died. The median survival time was 30 months. The 6 months, 1 year and 2 years OS were 5.9%, 23.6% and 63.1%, respectively. In the external validation group, 63 patients had developed recurrence, with a median RFS time of 28 months. The 6 months, 1 year and 2 years RFS were 26.4%, 45.3%, 54.7%, respectively. The median survival time was 31 months. The 6 months, 1 year and 2 years OS were 7.5%, 25.5%, 46.6%, respectively. Tumor size (>6.0 cm, HR: 1.447), vascular invasion ( HR: 1.408), TBil (>0.94 mg/dl, HR: 1.949), NLR (>2.54, HR: 2.843), AGR (≤0.88, HR: 2.447) were independent risk factors of HCC recurrence ( P<0.05). Tumor size (>6.0 cm, HR: 2.207), vascular invasion ( HR: 1.529), and NLR (>2.54, HR: 2.708) were independent risk factors of death for HCC patients ( P<0.05). The C-indexes of half-year, one-year and two-year RFS were 0.764 (95% CI: 0.677-0.854), 0.710 (95% CI: 0.615-0.824) and 0.673 (95% CI: 0.601-0.786), respectively. The C-indexes of half-year OS, one-year OS and two-year OS were 0.729 (95% CI: 0.648-0.841), 0.708 (95% CI: 0.608-0.813) and 0.664 (95% CI: 0.618-0.771), respectively. Conclusion:In this study, the construction of a Nomogram model in predicting prognosis of HCC patients was helpful to guide clinicians in improving preoperative treatment plans and in providing ideas for individualized treatment of patients.

Objective:To observe the role of yogurt containing 2 type of Bifidobacterias in improving the intestinal comfort in children. Methods:A 4-week, single-arm, non-randomized study was conducted from October 23, 2021 to November 21, 2021, in which, healthy children aged 3-6 years in real life were provided with commercially available children′s yogurt supplemented with Bifidobacteriumlactis BL-99 and Bifidobacterium infantis YLGB-1496.The questionnaire on gastrointestinal symptoms in children and the Patient-Oriented SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (PO-SCORAD) index were used to evaluate the intestinal comfort and skin sensitivity changes at baseline, week 1, week 2, and week 4, respectively. Kruskal- Wallis rank sum test was used for comparison at different time points. Results:A total of 39 children, involving 20 boys and 19 girls with the median age of 5.0 years completed the study. There were significant differences in intestinal comfort score and PO-SCORAD scores, distribution of stool consistency and night awakening frequency at different time points (baseline, week 1, week 2 and week 4) (all P<0.05). The total score of intestinal comfort at week 2 and 4 was 12.0 (10.0, 13.0) points and 10.0 (9.0, 10.0) points, which was significantly lower than that at baseline[17.0 (15.0, 21.0) points, P<0.05]. The total score of intestinal comfort at week 4 was significantly lower than that at week 1[13.0 (11.0, 15.0)points] and week 2 (all P<0.05). At week 4, all children had an ideal stool consistency (type 3-4). At week 4, 33 (84.6%) of the children woke up 0 times, and 6 (15.4%) of the children woke up once or twice. The PO-SCORAD scores at week 1, 2 and 4 were 10.2 (6.5, 14.7) points, 8.2 (5.5, 14.2) points and 5.5 (4.5, 9.0) points, respectively, which were all significantly lower than that at baseline[18.3 (11.6, 25.3) points, all P<0.05]. The total PO-SCORAD score at week 4 was significantly lower than that at week 1 ( P<0.05). Conclusions:After eating yoghurt supplemented with Bifidobacteriumlactis BL-99 and Bifidobacterium infantis YLGB-1496 for 4 weeks, the children′s intestinal comfort and stool consistency, night awakening and skin sensitivity are improved.

Abstract
Eye diagnosis is a method for inspecting systemic diseases and syndromes by observing the
eyes. With the development of intelligent diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), artificial intelligence (AI) can improve the accuracy and efficiency of eye diagnosis. However, the research on intelligent eye diagnosis still faces many challenges, including the lack of standardized and precisely labeled data, multi-modal information analysis, and artificial intelligence models for syndrome differentiation. The widespread application of AI models in medicine provides new insights and opportunities for the research of eye diagnosis intelligence. This study elaborates on the three key technologies of AI models in the intelligent application of TCM eye diagnosis, and explores the implications for the research of eye diagnosis intelligence. First, a database concerning eye diagnosis was established based on self-supervised learning so as to solve the issues related to the lack of standardized and precisely labeled data. Next, the cross-modal understanding and generation of deep neural network models to address the problem of lacking multi-modal information analysis. Last, the building of data-driven models for eye diagnosis to tackle the issue of the absence of syndrome differentiation models. In summary, research on intelligent eye diagnosis has great potential to be applied the surge of AI model applications.

This paper systematically combed and verified the name, origin, producing area, quality evaluation, harvesting, processing of Euryales Semen in famous classical formulas by consulting relevant ancient materia medica, medical books, prescription books and modern literature. The results showed that Euryales Semen was first collected by materia medica under the name of Jitoushi, and since the Ming dynasty, Qianshi has been used as a proper name and continues to this day, with other aliases such as Yanhuishi. Euryale ferox, a plant of the Nymphaeaceae family, is the same as that used in the past dynasties. However, due to long-term artificial domestication, the varieties vary with the origin, including Beiqian and Suqian. The medicinal part of Euryales Semen is mature seed kernel, its origin of ancient records mainly includes Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan and other places, since the Ming and Qing dynasties, Euryales Semen produced in Suzhou has been highly praised. Since modern times, it has gradually summarized and formed the best quality evaluation method of Euryales Semen with full grains, white cross-section, powdery enough and no broken powder. The harvesting time in the past dynasties was mainly August or in autumn. The main processing methods in the past dynasties included peeling for powder, pounding powder after steaming, drying and frying. Up to now, two mainstream processing methods of cleansing and stir-frying have been formed. Based on the research results, it is recommended that the mature seed kernel of E. ferox be used in famous classical formula Yihuangtang. Combined with the processing requirements of the original formula, it is suggested to refer to the stir-frying method in the general principles of processing of the current edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
