1.Observations on the changes of cAMP,cGMP levels in CSF during conscious rabbits with LP fever given acupuncture on main points
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
When the fever was induced by leukocytic pyrogen(LP)on rabbits, we observed the effects of acupuncture on the main point of "Du Channel". At the same time measured the changes of cAMP and cGMP levels in CSF of the animals. It was found that cAMP levels increased (cAMP levels of normal group 18.60?1.56 pmol/ml and experimental group 25.30?1.14pmol/ml,P
2.The febrifugal effect and analysis on its mechanism of electric needling "Shang gen" point after sectioning infraorbital nerves of rabbits with fever
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
In order to observe the febrffugal response and analysis on its mechanism of needling "Shang gen" point bilateral infraorbital nerves of rabbits were sected in the experiment. Fever models were made by leukocytic pyrogen. The experiment findings were as follows:1. It was found that when febrile response of leukocytic pyrogen in rabbits was significant, the cAMP content in CSF was strikingly increase (25.14?2.11pmol/L). During electric needling "Shang gen" point of febrile rabbits, however, fever response was markedly inhibited (△T was 0.27?0.07 at 60min); The cAMP content rise in CSF was markedly inhibited (11.22?0.13 pmol/ml).2. After sectioning bilateral infraorbital nerves of rabbits, the fever response of febrile rabbits was not depressed (△T was 0.71?0.06 at 60min) during electric needling "Shang gen" point. In the mean time, the cAMP content in CSF was significantly increased (28.53?1.12 pmol/ml).3. The authors inferred that the mechanism of febrffugal response of electric needling "Shang gen" point might be closely associated with producing nerves impulse (from the that point) which inhibited probablely the synthesis of cAMP through some modes.

Objective To study the effect of PPARγ ligand troglitazone (TGZ) on invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer cells, and investigate the relationship of PPARγ ligand with gastric cancer. Methods The expression of PPARγ in gastric cancer cell line MGC803 were detected by immunofluorescence cytochemistry method. The effect of different density TGZ on proliferation activity and adhesion of gastric cancer cell were detected by MTT chromatometry. The effect of different ligands on invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer cell MGC803 were detected by invasion system in vitro. Results The expression of PPARγ mainly located in cell nucleus. TGZ inhibited the proliferation of gastric cancer cell, decreased cell adhesion, locomotory capacity and invasion to matrigel, which had time and dose-dependent relationship. When treatment with 0. 1,1.0 and 10μ mol/ L TGZ, inhibition ratio of invasion and metastasis of cell was 8.79% ,31.31% ,51.42% and 28.29% ,4. 27% ,59. 27% respectively, which had statistical significance compared with control group( P <0. 05). When treatment was 10μ mol/L TGZ, cell adhesion was 0. 32 ±0. 03, it was statistically significant higher than that in control group (0. 52 ± 0. 04, P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion Human gastric cancer cell line MGC803 expressed functional PPARγ protein. TGZ inhibited adhesion and invasion of MGC803 cell on ECM at different degree, the effect of combination of two ligands was evident, which mechanism of action needed to be further investigated.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
AIM: To explore the role of adrenomedullin (AM) in tissue factor (TF) and TFPI expression in HUVECs stimulated with oxLDL and to investigate its possible signal transduction pathway. METHODS: Using chromogenic assay and RT-PCR technique, TF and TFPI protein activity and mRNA level in cultured HUVECs were observed. The signal transduction pathway of AM action was further analyzed by applying Rp-cAMP (cAMP antagonist), PD098059 (MAPK inhibitor) and H7 (PKC inhibitor). RESULTS: AM inhibited TF protein activity and mRNA expression in HUVECs treated with oxLDL in a concentration-dependent fashion; AM alone increased TFPI protein activity and mRNA expression in concentration-dependent and time-dependent manner. Moreover, AM reversed the decrease in TFPI protein activity and mRNA level caused by oxLDL; AM-induced TFPI expression was inhibited by cAMP and MAPK inhibitors. CONCLUSION: AM can reverse the effects of oxLDL on TF and TFPI expression in HUVECs, which can help improve the state of blood coagulation in atherosclerosis and delay development of atherosclerosis.

Objective To study the pattern of ultrasonic bone mineral density of calcaneus with age, height and body weight, and to establish a normal reference value of stiffness index (SI) of females in Southern China for providing scientific foundation for osteoporotic diagnosis and prevention. Methods SI for calcaneus in 2498 healthy people 10~87 years old was measured with Achilles Express ultrasound apparatus made in USA. They were divided into groups according to sex and age. One group for 10 years each and the records beyond 69 years were classified into one group, total 7 groups. Results The SI showed a characteristic mild rise-then-fall pattern with increasing age. And the peak value of SI presented in 20~29 age group. Pearson correlation analysis showed negative correlation between SI and age and a positive correlation between SI/ height and weight. The prevalence of osteoporosis gradually increase with age. Conclusion There are significant correlations in SI with age, height and weight; the values of SI will provide an important data reference to establish the normal values and diagnostic]standard of osteoporosis.
