Objective To analyze the risk factors for venous thromboembolism(VTE) in hospitalized patients undergoing to‐tal hip arthroplasty (THA) or total knee arthroplasty (TKA) at the perioperative period .Methods One hundred and seventy‐four in hospitalized patients who was given THA or TKA from October 2012 to July 2013 were enrolled in this prospective cohort stud‐y .There are a total of 205 cases of surgery ,including 132 T HAs in 122 patients and 73 TKAs in 52 patients .All patients were given Color Doppler Ultrasonography of lower limbs to detect DVT in 3 to 5 days after operation and preoperative .Then the patients were divided into two groups ,the DVT group and the non DVT group according the Ultrasonography results .More than ten factors such as age ,gender ,hypertension in DVT formation were detected .Then their correlation was analyzed .The key influencing factors for DVT were selected .Results Forty‐three patients developed DVT after operation ,the incidence of DVT was 24 .7% .Age≥ 70 years ,rheumatoid and relatively lower PT‐INR before surgery has a statistical significance (P<0 .05);elevated plasma D‐dimer val‐ue before surgery and general anesthesia has a highly statistical significance (P<0 .01) .A preoperative plasma D‐dimer cutoff value as a diagnostic test was calculated as 764 μg/L .Conclusion Age≥70 years old ,relatively lower PT INR ,preoperative elevated plasma D‐dimer value ,rheumatoid and general anesthesia were the risk factors for DVT formation after THA or TKA .A preopera‐tive plasma D‐dimer cutoff value as a diagnostic test was obtained as 764 μg/L .

Aim To study the chemical constituents of Rhododendron ovatum Planch. Methods The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography and identified on the basis of their physiochemical and spectral data. Results Seven compounds were isolated and identified. Their structures were established as 3,5,7-trihydroxylchromone 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside (I), taraxerol (II), β-sitosterol (III), betulinic acid (IV), quercetin (V), quercetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (VI), and D-glucose (VII). Conclusion Compound I is a new compound. Compounds II-VII were isolated from this plant for the first time.

Objective To explore the feasibility of recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) as a vector for the gene therapy of liver cancer. Methods The rAAV/enhance green fluorescein protein (EGFP) recombinant was prepared by the routine method of two plasmids cotransfection. Results The experiment showed that one 10cm plate could produce 107-108 infection unit recombinant by the method of two plasmids cotransfection, and the transduction of HepG2 cell was increased with the increase of infection dosage of rAAV. About 100 multiplicity of infection (MOI) AAV vector could make all the tumor cell light. Conclusion Liver cancer cell can be efficiently transduced by rAAV, and AAV vector may be a valuable vector for the gene therapy of liver cancer.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus medication in treating sudden hearing loss.Method Sixty patients with sudden hearing loss were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture plus medication, while the control group was intervened by medication alone. The two groups were treated once a day, 10 d as a treatment course. The pure-tone hearing threshold, plasma endothelin (ET) content, comparative and absolute counting of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) were observed before the treatment and after 2 treatment courses, and the clinical efficacies were compared. Result The pure-tone hearing threshold, plasma ET content, comparative counting and absolute counting of EPCs were significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05). After the intervention, the pure-tone hearing threshold, plasma ET content, comparative counting and absolute counting of EPCs in serum of the treatment group were significantly different from those of the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 92.6% in the treatment group versus 82.1% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture plus medication is an effective method in treating sudden hearing loss.

Objective To establish an RP-HPLC method for the determination of the content of safflor yellow A in Zhanjing Tinctura. Methods The chromatographic procedure was carried out in Symmetry C18 column(4.6mm?150 mm,5.0?m)with methanol-water-glacial acetic acid(7:93∶2)as the mobile phase,pH=2.80. The flow rate was 1.0 mL?min-1,column temperature was 20℃,and the detection wavelength was 402 nm. Results Safflor yellow A was well separated from other components. The standard curves of safflor yellow A showed linearity in the range of 0.096~0.960?g (r=0.9999). The average recovery was 98.80% with RSD being 2.95%(n=9). Conclusion This method is sensitive, simple and accurate, and can be used for the determination of safflor yellow A in Zhanjing Tinctura.

Objective To study the inhibitory effects of modification c-myc antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) on the growth of renal carcinoma cell line (GRC-1) and cell cycle. Methods We transfected c-myc antisense oligodeoxynucleeride in renal carcinoma cell line to investigate the effect of c-myc ASODN on it. Results ① By MTT assay,we found that the c-myc ASODN significantly inhibited the growth of carcinoma cell, compared with sense and mismatch ODN. The growth-inhibition rate of 12 ?mol?L -1 c-myc ASODN group of renal carcinoma cell was 47% at 48 hour, and the inhibitory effect increased with the increase of ASODN dosage and changed with ASODN time. ② The measurements by flow cytometry proved that ASODN mainly blocked the G 1 to S of the cycling of renal carcinoma cell. Conclusion c-myc ASODN can inhibit the growth of renal carcinoma cells with sequence specificity and cycling specificity.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(10):-
Objective To study the effects of nitric oxide (NO) synthesis on serum interleukin 1? (IL-1?) and tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF-?) levels in liver ischemic preconditioning (IP) in rats. Methods 169 rats were randomly divided into ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) group, IP group,L-arginine plus IP (L-Arg+IP) group and sham operation group (S group). The concentrations of plasma NO, serum IL-1? and TNF-? were measured at 2h, 24h and 1 week after models were set up. Results ⑴ Plasma NO concentrations: In group IP and group L-Arg+IP,the NO concentration at all the 3 time points were significantly higher than those in group S (P0 05). Conclusions Liver ischemic preconditioning could down-regulate the levels of blood IL-1? and TNF-?, which may relate to the increase of NO synthesis. The increase of NO synthesis could enlarge this down-regulation effect, and further enhance the protective effect of IP on the liver I/R injury.
