Objective: To investigate the effect of surgical reconstruction of congenital aural atresia via tympanic antrum approach and the prevention for reatresia of the aural canal. Methods: From 1993 to 1998, 89 patients (94 ears) with congenital aural atresia were operated via tympanic antrum approach. All of them got aural canals reconstruction and tympanoplasty, including 80 ears of type Ⅱ, 11 ears of type Ⅲ and 3 ears for fenestration of inner ear. Kenacort\|A and dilator were used to prevent reastresia of the aural canals. Results: The tympanic antrums of 94 ears were encountered smoothly, and their hearings were reconstructed. The hearing improvement were found over 20dB in 80 ears (85.1%), over 25dB in 49 ears (52.1%). Kenacort\|A and dilator should be applied when the reastresia began to appear, and then the good effect could be made. Conclusion: It′s easy to master for surgical reconstruction of congenital aural atresia via tympanic antrum approach, and it also owns the characteristics of safety, save time and reliable effect. It should be managed as soon as the reastresia appears.

This study explored the possibility of using event-related potentials (ERP) for the measurement of picture-recognition memory and examined its correlation with the Chinese Wechsler Memory Scale-revised (WMS-RC) in patients with memory disorder caused by severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI). The subjects included 20 sTBI patients with memory disorder and 22 healthy individuals. Memory function was measured by using WMS-RC. Behavioral and ERP responses were recorded on-line during performance on a battery of picture recognition and the responses were analyzed off-line for recognition memory effects. Mean memory quotient (MQ) of patients with sTBI was significantly lower than that of the control group. Mean reaction time (RT) was significantly longer and the mean correctness rate (CR) of picture recognition was significantly lower in sTBI group than that of the controls. In controls, the main components of average ERP of picture recognition includes two positive-going waves, designated as P(170) and P(500), that appear 170 ms and 500 ms after stimulation when the subject could later successfully recall and recognize the pictures. P(500) amplitude of target stimulus was significantly higher than that of non-target stimulus. Compared to controls, P(500) responses of sTBI group were significantly delayed in latency (P<0.001) and lower in amplitude (P<0.001). P(500) latency showed significant negative correlation with MQ and the scores of "addition", "visual recognition", "picture recall", "visual reproduction" and "tactile memory" in WMS-RC. ERP of picture recognition provides a neurophysiological approach to directly assess memory impairment, and P(500) may serve as a helpful index for memory disorder caused by sTBI in forensic practice.

Objective:To analyze the law of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment for type 2 diabetic kidney disease (T2DKD) stage Ⅳ based on literature research. Methods:Literature on type 2 diabetic kidney disease stage Ⅳ was retrieved from CNKI, WanFang data, VIP and SinoMed database. The retrieval time was from the establishment of the databases to December 31, 2020. Data screening was conducted based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria prior to data entry in Microsoft Office Excel 365. Data mining and statistical analysis were performed by SPSS Statistics 23.0 and SPSS Modeler 18.1.Results:A total of 110 articles with 3 969 T2DKD stage Ⅳ cases, 111 prescriptions and 206 kinds of Chinese materia medica were included. Kidney and spleen were the main location of T2DKD stage Ⅳ. T2DKD stage Ⅳ based on TCM deficiency in nature syndrome was mainly based on qi and yin deficiency, and the most common excess in superficiality syndrome was blood stasis. The prescriptions commonly used included Liuwei Dihuang Decoction, Zhenwu Decoction, Buyang Huanwu Decoction, and Shenqi Dihuang Decoction etc. The classification of medication efficacy with the highest frequency was qi-tonifying herb, followed by blood-activating and stasis-resolving herb. Among them, Astragali Radix was the core Chinese materia medica in the prescription. The results of association rule obtained 54 association rules. Conclusions:The disease characteristics of T2DKD stage Ⅳ is simultaneous occurrence of deficiency and excess syndromes. The deficiency in nature is mainly characterized by deficiency of qi and yin, deficiency of spleen and kidney, deficiency of spleen-kidney yang, and excess in superficiality is mainly characterized by blood stasis, dampness and toxin. Tonifying qi and nourishing yin, activating blood circulation and dredging collaterals are the basic treatment methods, while strengthening spleen and kidney, dampness and detoxification should be emphasized. Astragali Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Poria, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Corni Fructus, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma and Alismatis Rhizoma were the basic Chinese materia medica in this period, which reflects the idea of "treating qi, blood and water together".

Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2015;18(3):227-231
OBJECTIVETo explore the value of MSCT in the preoperative TNM staging and the longest tumor diameter measurement (RESIST standard) of gastric cancer.
METHODSClinical data of 153 consecutive patients with biopsy-confirmed gastric carcinoma who were preoperatively evaluated with enhanced MSCT scanning in our hospital from January 2012 to March 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Consistency comparison was performed between preoperative TNM staging and the longest tumor diameter measurement and histopathological findings.
RESULTST-staging consistency of Kappa value was 0.566, and accuracy was 71.2%. N-staging consistency of Kappa value was 0.284, and accuracy was 47.7%. The Kappa value of M-staging consistency was 0.893, and accuracy was 98.7%. The overall accuracy of TNM staging consistency was 66.7% (102/153) with a Kappa value of 0.573. Effective measurement of the longest cancer diameter was carried out in 53 patients. There was no significant difference between preoperative longest tumor diameter acquired by MSCT and postoperative tumor measurement [(68.8 ± 40.6) mm vs. (64.2 ± 36.2) mm, P=0.969].
CONCLUSIONMSCT is accurate in preoperative TNM staging and longest tumor diameter measurement of gastric cancer compared with postoperative pathological examination, and can provide reliable evidence for preoperative staging and neoadjuvant therapy evaluation of gastric cancer, but it is unfavorable to evaluate the lymph node metastasis.
