1.Radiotherapy for soft tissue sarcoma
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2017;44(1):19-23
Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) consist of a heterogeneous group of rare malignancies with mesenchymal origin. Surgical resec-tion is the primary treatment for STS, but radiation therapy (RT) also plays an important role in the treatment. Radiotherapy for STS has advanced significantly over the past 50 years. Both preoperative and postoperative radiotherapies are equivalent in local control but are associated with different toxicity profiles. Boost techniques for STS include brachytherapy, intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT), and external beam. Long-term toxicities of RT to normal tissues have been reduced because of improvements in image guid-ance and intensity-modulated radiotherapy, which significantly increase the precision and delivery of RT. This review discusses RT tech-nologies and their acceptable treatment principles.

The purpose of this paper is to report the research and design of control system of magnetic coupling centrifugal blood pump in our laboratory, and to briefly describe the structure of the magnetic coupling centrifugal blood pump and principles of the body circulation model. The performance of blood pump is not only related to materials and structure, but also depends on the control algorithm. We studied the algorithm about motor current double-loop control for brushless DC motor. In order to make the algorithm adjust parameter change in different situations, we used the self-tuning fuzzy PI control algorithm and gave the details about how to design fuzzy rules. We mainly used Matlab Simulink to simulate the motor control system to test the performance of algorithm, and briefly introduced how to implement these algorithms in hardware system. Finally, by building the platform and conducting experiments, we proved that self-tuning fuzzy PI control algorithm could greatly improve both dynamic and static performance of blood pump and make the motor speed and the blood pump flow stable and adjustable.

The purpose of this paper is to achieve a measurement of temperature prediction for artificial heart without sensor, for which the research briefly describes the application of back propagation neural network as well as the optimized, by genetic algorithm, BP network. Owing to the limit of environment after the artificial heart implanted, detectable parameters out of body are taken advantage of to predict the working temperature of the pump. Lastly, contrast is made to demonstrate the prediction result between BP neural network and genetically optimized BP network, by which indicates that the probability is 1.84% with the margin of error more than 1%.

This paper built the mathematical model of a centrifugal blood pump, which was designed by ourselves, combined it with that of the human cardiovascular system and simulated the coupling system using Matlab. Then we set up the experiment platform, linked the blood pump to mock human cardiovascular system in case of three-stage heart failure, and measured aortic pressure and flow under different speed. The comparison between experiment results and simulation results not only indicates the coupling model is correct and the blood pump works well, but also shows that with the increase of blood pump speed, the pulsation of aortic pressure and flow will be reduced, this situation will affect the structure and function of blood vessels.

Objective To study the methodology and effect of auricle reconstruction with prefabricated expanded fascial flap in temporal and parietal area and skin flap in mastoid area, covered on the Medpor support. Methods Thirty cases of congenital vestigial auricle were involved in this study. The operations were divided into two stages: in the stage I,the temporal and parietal superficial fascia flap was cut with a vascular pedicle in the parietal and temporal superficial area, which was implanted under the skin of mastoid, and then both layers of those were expanded at the same time; in the stage II, this fascial skin flap was cut down and covered on the whole Medpor support to rebuild the man-made auricle. Results Thirty cases were successful after following-up for 6 months to 3 years. Their auricle shapes were vivid; their skin color was normal, and it had no any difference from all around skins, or no any appearance of the support. Conclusions With best understanding the biological characteristics of the Medpor support and choosing the suitable procedures and using the prefabricated expanded support, we could minimize the surgical complications in this operation. The results show that this procedure is satisfactory, without any necrosis of flap, swelling of contour, or appearance of the support. The combination of two flaps is the best method for the auricle reconstruction.
9.Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis/exfoliative dermatitis eruption
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2019;26(5):332-337
Severe drug eruption is the most common skin drug adverse reaction in clinic. Immune‐mediated adverse drug reactions occur commonly in clinical practice and include mild, self‐limited cutaneous eruptions, IgE‐mediated hypersensitivity, and severe cutaneous adverse drug reactions. Severe cutaneous adverse drug reactions represent an uncommon but potentially life‐threatening form of delayed T cell‐mediated reaction. The spectrum of illness ranges from acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis to drug reaction with eosinophilia with systemic symptoms,to the most severe form of illness,Stevens‐Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. Drug‐induced exfoliative dermatitis may be one of the manifestations of eosinophilia with systemic symptoms. Typical clinical manifestations, medication history, relevant physical examinations and related auxiliary examinations of patients are helpful to the early diagnosis of the disease. This article introduced in detail the research progress of acute generalized eruptive pustulosis and exfoliative dermatitis eruption.
