Objective To observe the curative effect of botulinum toxin A on masseter hypertrophy using three-dimensional stereophotogrammetry. Methods 46 cases with masseter hypertrophy (92 masseters) who received botulinum toxin A injection were enrolled from May 2013 to August 2014.Data were collected before and 3,6 and 9 months after injection. Results The efficacy of botulinum toxin A in reducing the volume of the lower face has been proven by MAS 3D.3 and 6 months after injection, the volume reduction were measured as 7.23 %,2.15% respectively (P < 0.05).The coefficients between middle and lower thirds of the face showed an increase compatible with thinning of the lower face with statistical significance at 3 months follow up.The increase percentage was measured by MAS 3D as 40.21% between pre-and post-injection (P < 0.05),and the increase percentage was 21.03% at 6 months follow up (P < 0.05).While 9 months after injection, the value was insignificant comparing to pretreatment at 9 months. Conclusions Three-dimensional stereophotogrammetry provides a safe effective and direct way to observe masseter hypertrophy.

Objective:To survey the working status of outpatient nurses in general practice departments of general hospitals. Methods:From March to April 2021, personal in-depth interviews were conducted with outpatient nurses from general practice residency training bases in Beijing. The thematic framework analysis method was used to analyze the interview data and refine the themes. Results:Fourteen nurses working in general practice outpatient clinics were interviewed in this study. Four themes were extracted from the interview data: (1) inadequate staffing of full-time outpatient nurses in general practice departments of comprehensive hospitals; (2) unclear job functions for outpatient nurses in general practice departments; (3) no standardized patient health education in the department; (4) no relevant training received systematically. Conclusion:General practice departments in general hospitals should setup full-time general practice nurse positions, clarify the job responsibilities, strengthen the relevant training and enhance core competency for nurses working in general practice department.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2020;26(35):4908-4913
Objective:To understand the current situation and trend of nursing cost research in China so as to provide a reference for researchers in the field of nursing cost research. Methods:We retrieved literature on nursing cost from January 1, 1990 to December 13, 2019 in China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) . CiteSpace software was used for visual analysis. Results:A total of 463 related literature were obtained, and the number of publications was on the rise as a whole, and research institutions had little cooperation. Nursing economics, nursing human resources, nursing management, cost analysis were the main research directions at present. Long-term care insurance with the highest emergent word intensity was the research frontier in the field. Conclusions:We should strengthen the cooperation in scientific research institutions, and rely on big data, computers and other means to establish a nursing cost accounting model, and extend the scope of research to communities and homes so as to provide a quantitative basis for Chinese long-term care insurance compensation standards.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2024;23(12):1292-1298
Objective:To analyze the research hot points and trend of general practice in China. Methods:It was a bibliometric analysis. Research papers presentated on Chinese Society of General Practice from 2014 to 2022 were collected. The distribution and its trend were analysed in terms of titles, submission time, research topics, methods and contents as well as authors′ affilation. Results:A total of 944 research papers were included in the analysis. The results showed a general increasing trend in number of research papers presented on annual conferences from 2014 to 2022 with some fluctuation. The papers covered 28 research dimensions; the highest number of papers was on the development of general practice system, the training and education system for general practitioners, and the construction of information technology (576 papers, 61.0%). The most common topic was on primary health services (230 papers, 24.4%), followed by education and training (225, 23.8%) and chronic disease management (212, 22.5%); while fewer papers were dealing with community-based care (39, 4.1%) and rational medication (7, 0.7%). In terms of the affiliation of the first author, 437 papers (46.3%) were from affiliated hospitals of medical universities/colleges, 223 (23.6%) from community health service institutions, 132 (14.0%) from higher education institutions, 118 (12.5%) from non-affiliated hospitals, and 35 (3.7%) were from administration institutions. In terms of regions, it covered all provinces (municipalities/autonomous regions) (including Hong Kong and Taiwan) with few overseas. Shanghai and Beijing contributed more papers than other regions. In terms of research methodology, most papers used quantitative studies (882, 93.7%), less used qualitative studies (39, 4.1%) or mixed studies (23, 2.4%).Conclusion:The analysis indicates that a wide range of contents are involved in general practice research in China, and more high-quality studies are from medical colleges/universities and their affiliated general hospitals, and most papers use quantitative studies.
