1.Relationship between muscle tension and recovery of upper limbs motor function of stroke patients
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(6):373-374
ObjectiveTo explore relation of muscle tension on recovery of upper limbs motor function of patients with hemiplegia after stroke.Methods102 hemiplegia patients were divided into 4 groups according to the degree of muscle tension, and treated with routine rehabilitation training. After one month, upper limbs motor ability and activities of daily living (ADL) of patients were assessed.ResultsAfter treatment, upper limbs motor ability and ADL of all patients were raised, but patients with light muscle tension had a better effect compared with those with serious muscle tension (P<0.01).ConclusionExcessive muscle tension will block the motor functional recovery of patients with hemiplegia after stroke.

International Eye Science 2015;(3):525-527
· AlM: To investigate clinical therapeutic effect and safety of small incision extracapsular cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation in blindness prevention and treatment.
· METHODS: Clinical data of 425 patients with cataract (425 eyes) were analyzed retrospectively, who received small incision extracapsular cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation in the No.413 Hospital of Chinese PLA, with the help from “handicapped rehabilitation engineering in Dinghai District of Zhoushan City” from September 2013 to August 2014.Visual acuity before and after operation, average corneal curvature, corneal astigmatism and intraoperative and postoperative complications were compared statistically and analyzed emphatically.
·RESULTS: ln all of the 425 patients with cataract (425 eyes) , the preoperative best corrected visual acuity of 99 patients were less than 0.05, and the other 326 patients were 0.05 to 0.3.Classification of lens nucleus hardness:level Ⅲ, 63 cases; level Ⅳ, 257 cases; and level Ⅴ, 105 cases. The preoperative average corneal curvature and corneal astigmatism of all patients were 44.6 ±1.52D and 1.35±0.96D.All the 425 patients underwent small incision extracapsular cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation.Postoperative follow-up of 3mo results: the best corrected visual acuity: 5 cases were less than 0.05 (blindness-free rate 98.8%);8 cases were 0.05 to <0.3 ( handicap-overcome rate 96.9%);42 cases were between 0.3 to <0.5;127 cases between 0.5 to 0.8 and 243 cases were ≥0.8.Postoperative average corneal curvature and cornea astigmatism were 44.5 ± 1.42D and 1.47 ±1.00D respectively. There were no statistically significant difference compared with preoperative condition. No severe complications such as infectious endophthalmitis or retinal detachment occurred, except 4 patients ( 0.9%) with posterior capsular rupture and 3 patients (0.7%) with Descemet’s membrane detachment during operation;and 18 patients (4.2%) with transient corneal edema and 4 patients (0.9%) with hyphema after operation.
· CONCLUSlON: lt is effective and safe to apply small incisionextracapsular cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation in blindness prevention and treatment, and it gives excellent visual rehabilitation to cataract patients.Especially in those areas and hospitals having no condition of phacoemulsification, it’s a safe and effective alternative when carrying out the program of blindness prevention and treatment.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
Stroke is one of the most common diseases among middle and senior - aged people, and depressive disorder, which hinders severely recovery and prognosis,is one of the complications of stroke. This paper analyzes the efficiency of social intervention mode on patients with post - stroke depressive disorder, and comes up with the conclusion that social intervention mode can not only help to ameliorate the occurrence of post - stroke depressive disorder, but also promote the recovery of patients' nervous function. Therefore, the social intervention mode can be regarded as an effective means for medical treatment.
4.Effect of baclofen on recovery of motor function of stroke patients with hemiplegia
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(8):486-487
ObjectiveTo explore the best applying time and effect of baclofen on recovery of motor function of stroke patients with hemiplegia.Methods83 stroke patients with hemiplegia were divided into group A and group B according to the degree of muscle tension, every group was divided into the treatment group and control group. Patients of the four groups were treated with routine rehabilitation training, and baclofen was added to the patients of two treatment groups. Motor ability and activities of daily living (ADL) of patients were evaluated before and after one month treatment.ResultsAfter one month treatment, motor ability and ADL of all patients were improved, but in group A, there were not significant differences existed between treatment group and control group (P>0.05), while, there was a significant difference existed in group B(P<0.01).ConclusionBaclofen is necessary to stroke patients with hemiplegia only when the muscle tension increased obviously (≥Asworth 3).

Long-term endurance training or physical activity has been confirmed not only to improve physical performance, but to bring about an obvious beneficial effect on human health; however, the mechanism of this effect is not clear. The most studied health adaptations in skeletal muscle response to endurance exercise are increased muscle glycogen level and insulin sensitivity, fiber type transformation toward oxidative myofibers, and increased mitochondrial content/function. Mitochondria are dynamic organelles in eukaryotic cells critical in physical performance and disease occurrence. The mitochondrial life cycle spans biogenesis, maintenance, and clearance. Exercise training may promote each of these processes and confer positive impacts on skeletal muscle contractile and metabolic functions. This review focused on the regulation of these processes by endurance exercise and discussed its potential benefits in health and disease. We presented evidence suggesting that exercise training potentiates not only the biogenesis of mitochondria but also the removal of old and unhealthy mitochondria through mitochondrial quality control.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the influence of propofol on the induction of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression in spinal cord after spinal cord injury (SCI) in rats. Methods SCI model was reproduced according to Allen′s method with modification. Seventy-four SD rats were randomly divided into three groups: normal group (n=4), SCI with propofol treatment group (n=35), and SCI with saline treatment group (n=35). Immunohistochemistry and Western blot were employed to detect iNOS expression in spinal cord at different time (1h, 3h, 8h, 1d, 3d, 7d, 14d). Results The results showed that iNOS expression in spinal cord of propofol treatment group was significantly decreased compared with that of saline treatment group (P

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1997;0(06):-
Objective To study the clinical, neuro-electrophysiology features of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A (CMT1A) and its gene mutation analysis. Methods 9 members of the family with CMT1A underwent detailed clinical examinations and gene mutation analysis was carried out in 7 of them. The probands accepted electromyography and nerve, muscle biopsy. Results Five patients of the family were attacked and consistent with autosomal dominant inheritance type. Except one asymptomatic patient, age at onset was in the first or second decade. The clinical features were slowly progressive distal muscle weakness, atrophy and end-brush form sensory decrement, diminished or absent tendon reflexes, foot deformity(pes cavus). The probands showed highly decreased sensory and motor conduction velocities. Gene mutation analysis showed large fragment tandem duplication containing peripheral myelin protein 22(PMP22) gene in all four patients out of the seven family members who attended the gene diagnosis. Conclusion CMT1A is the most common form of CMT. The disease usually begins in childhood or adolescence. Clinical featurs include progressive distal muscle weekness and atrophy, diminished or absent tendon reflexes. The motor nerve conduction velocity is slowed below the limit of 38 m/s. Tandem duplication on chromosome 17p11.2, encompassing the PMP22 gene is the main mutation type of CMT1A.
