The adhesion molecules expressed by brain microvascular endothelial cell maintain the structure and function of brain, ensure the continuity of endothelium cell and penetrate blood-brain barrier in physiology. They also intervene inflammation cells that remove or orientate regular or inflammation organism in pathology. The adhesion molecules of Immunoglobulin supperfamily and Selectin family are expressed by brain microvascular endothelial cell and have affinity with the ischemic brain damage. The advance in research on relationship between the expression of adhesion molecules by brain microvascular endothelial cell and ischemic brain damage is reviewed in this article.

Objective To study the relationship between Kazakh hypertensive patients with blood uric acid ,lipid levels and psy-chological factors .Methods 90 Kazak patients with hypertension in our hospital from January to August 2012 were randomly se-lected as the hypertension group and contemporaneous 171 non-hypertension patients as the healthy control group .Blood uric acid (UA) ,triglycerides(TG) ,total cholesterol(TC) ,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein choles-terol(HDL-C) were detected and the perceived stress scale(PSS) was adopted to assess the mental status .Results The mean val-ues of TG ,TC ,HDL and LDL in males of the hypertension group and the mean values of UA ,TG and LDL in females of the hyper-tension group were significantly higher than those in the normal control group after adjusting age and BMI (P<0 .05);in the hyper-tension group ,UA was positively correlated with TC (r=0 .221 ,P<0 .05) .The level of perceived stress was positively correlated TC and LDL(r=0 .473 ,P<0 .05;r=0 .321 ,P<0 .05) and negatively correlated with TG and HDL (r= -0 .461 ,P<0 .05;r= -0 .412 ,P<0 .05) after adjusting age ,sex and BMI .Conclusion The blood lipid level in Kazakh hypertensive patients has certain correlation with the perceived stress .

Objective To explore the child pneumonia in infection circumstances of Coxsackie B virus(CVB), Cytomegalovirus(CMV),Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).Methods Indirect ELISA were used to detect the specific IgM antibody of CVB, CMV, EBV. Results The total positive rate,which suffer from the three kinds of viruses in 140 children wich pneumonias was 38.6%.The positive rates of the CVB- IgM, CMV- IgM, EBV- IgM were 24.3%,8.6%,6.5%.Conclusions CVB has the higher infection rate in the pneumonia, is one of the main causes in the infection of child pneumonia.CMV,EBV also has the certain infection rate, although the infection rate is not high, they can cause damage of many organs and systems .They should be watched out for and valued.

Objective To study the personality characteristics of the stagnation of liver-qi syndrome cases with Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).Methods 20 liver-qi stagnation syndrome cases and 20 normal persons whose paired by sex and age were tested by MMPI. The scores of 13 clinical scales and the section plane of MMPI were acquired and analyzed. Results There was a significant difference in 9 clinical scales (F, Pa, D, Pt, Si, Sc, Hs, Hy, Pd) between the liver-qi stagnation syndrome cases and normal persons ( P<0.05～0.001). The scores of Hs, D, Hy, Pd in the liver-qi stagnation syndrome group were higher than the Chinese normal model. The MMPI section plane of liver-qi stagnation group presented the type of 3/1. Conclusion The patients with liver-qi stagnation have some special personality characteristics such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, indifferent and attention.

OBJECTIVETo study the overexpression of Sox9 gene on rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells for repairing articular cartilage injury in vivo.

METHODSRabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) were transduced with lentivirus vector containing Sox9 gene and then cartilage specific molecule was detected by RT-PCR in vitro. Total 48 knee joints of 24 mature New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into 3 groups according to different defect treatment. After animals anesthesia,a full-thickness cylindrical cartilage defect of 4 mm diameter and 3 mm deep was created in the patellar groove using a stainlesssteel punch. Meanwhile, the transfected cells were implanted to repair the rabbit model with full-thickness cartilage defects. Cartilage defects tissue was observed with light microscope, electron microscope, HE and immunohistochemistry staining to assess the repair of defects by the complex at 6 weeks or 12 weeks after the implantation.

RESULTSAt 3 days after the transfection, Sox9 gene expression was highest and Sox9 gene expression decreased with the increase of time. At 3 days after the transfection, the expression of collagen type II began and reached the peak at 14 days. It showed that the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells went into chondrogenic differentiation after transfected by Sox9 gene. Histological observation showed that at 6 weeks after the operation, the defects in the experimental group was filled with hyaline like cartilage tissue, 12 weeks after operation,the defects of cartilage and subchondral bone had satisfactory healing. Both at 6 and 12 weeks postoperatively, the defects were filled with fibrous tissues in control groups. Meanwhile, immunohistochemical staining of sections with type II collagen antibodies showed the proteins in the regenerated tissue stained positive for type II collagen and stronger than the control groups. The histological scoring system indicated that the cartilage repair of experiment groups were better than the two control groups with statistical significances.

CONCLUSIONOverexpression of Sox9 gene on rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) promote the repair of cartilage defect.

OBJECTIVETo study the current situation of the prevention and treatment of silicosis in Jinshan District of Shanghai, China, and to provide a scientific basis for the introduction of preventive and control measures for the disease.

METHODSAn occupational hygienic investigation was carried out among enterprises exposed to silica dust hazard in Jinshan District using cross-sectional epidemiological study. Based on GBZ 159-2004 Specifications of air sampling for hazardous substances monitoring in the workplace and GBZ/T 192.1-2007 Method for determination of dust in the air of workplace Part 1: Total dust concentration, individual sampling and evaluation of test results were conducted among workers exposed to silica dust.

RESULTSA total of 302 workers in 30 enterprises were exposed to silica dust, and the coverage of employment injury insurance and occupational health inspection rate were 98.3% and 92.4%, respectively. The equipment rate of anti-dust respirators of the enterprises was 56.7%, and the qualification rate of silica dust monitoring in work place was 40.4%. The enterprises exposed to silica dust were mainly those who were operated in dry condition and engaged in manual work using opening-type equipment without negative pressure.

CONCLUSIONEnterprises exposed to silica dust in Jinshan District of Shanghai have safety hazards like poor production and protective equipment, incomplete protective articles, and low qualification rate of silica dust test in workplace, so occupational health protection measures need to be strengthened.

Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound (US) in assessment knee joint inflammation in patients with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis(JRA).Methods US scans of the knees obtained in 30 children at clinically active stage; JRA was compared with those obtained in 30 healthy children and 10 JRA patients in clinical remission.Results Changes in synovial membrane thickness and presence of fluid in suprapatellar bursa showed statistically significant differences between JRA patients with active disease and the other subjects.Alterations in contour of the articular cartilage were demonstrated in 10 knees of patients with JRA.Conclusion US is a simple sensitive and reliable methods for the assessment and monitoring of knee joint involvement in JRA.
