Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(10):-
AIM:To study the role of Rhodiolae rosae in post myocardial infarction angiogenesis and its effect on extracellular regulated kinases(ERK 1/2). METHODS: The experimental myocardial infarction was made by ligation of rat left anterior descending coronary artery, and then divided into Rhodiolae group and saline group. The sham operation group and normal group were also made as control one.On the first, the 4th,the 7th and the(14th) day after the operation, rats were sacrificed and infarcted border tissue or normal tissue were used to test VEGF receptor Ⅱ and CD34 expression level and ERK 1/2 activity level. RESULTS: ERK 1/2 activity level from the first to the 4th day,VEGF receptor Ⅱ and CD34 expression level from the 4th to the 14th day after the operation, were all higher in the Rhodiolae group than that in the saline group. CONCLUSION: Rhodiolae rosae can elevate ERK 1/2 activity which was related to and prior to its angiogenic effect.

Objective To study the effect of exogenous prostaglandin E 1 (PGE 1) on the superoxide dismutase(SOD) and nitric oxide(NO) levels in brain tissue of neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD).Methods Sixty 7-day old newborn Wistar rats to establish HIBD models, intraperitoneally and subcutaneous injected PGE 1 and TMP,then the rats were killed after hypo- xia and ischemia for 48 hours.Take cerebral cortex of arteria carotis ligation side and made them into homogenate to detect SOD and NO levels in brain tissue. Results SOD level in HIBD group was lower, and NO level was higher than those of normal group(P

Objective To investigate the drug resistance genes of extended-spectrum beta- lactamase-producing bacteria in 49 strains. Methods Extended-spectrum ?-lactamase -producing strains were detected by the disc diffusion test. The techniques of polymerase chain reaction, sequence analysis, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis were used to analyze the genotype and homology of extended-spectrum ?- lactamase-producing strains. Results The incidence of ESBL-producing strains from E.coli,K pneumoniae,K oxytoca, was 20% in 2000,and 40% in 2003.Among the 49 ESBLs producers the most common genotype was CTX-M-14( n=33).The others were CTX-M-3,CTX-M-9,CTX-M-12,CTX-M-15, CTX-M-24 and SHVSa.Both two CTX-M subtypes,CTX-M-3 and CTX-M-14,were detected in one strain. However,4 ESBL-producing strains confirmed by phenotype remained untyped. The results showed that the ESBLs producers were not closely related, except for two strains of E.coli and two strains of K.pneumoniae which were homgenic respectively.Concolusions The incidence of ESBL-producing strains increases with years. The most common genotype of ESBLs is CTX-M.There is no evidence for epidemiologic spread of ESBL-producers by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis.

Objective To discuss the technical specifications of current high-frequency electrotome detection,to avoid the hidden danger of high-frequency electrotome power detectors, and to measure the leakage current of different kinds of highfrequency electrotome accurately. Methods The power and leakage current of the high frequency electrotome were measured by FLUCK QA-ES Ⅱ high frequency electrotome analyzer. The safety of the two methods was compared before and after the improvement of the power measurement.Four parameters of leakage current were repeatedly measured with the ways of high frequency earthing and high frequency isolation respectively. The maximum measurement of leakage current was recorded. Results The improved connection method was safe in the power measurement. For the high-frequency electrotome in the model of high frequency earthing, the values of leakage current were restrained within the range of error with two ways of monopolar loading operation electrode and neutral electrode. For the high-frequency electrotome in the model of high frequency isolation, the values of leakage current were limited within the range of error withtwo ways of monopolar empty operation electrode and neutral electrode. Conclusion The improved high-frequency electrotome power detection method is safe for detectors. The data obtained from the leakage current detection method using the national standard correction method reflect the actual state of the high-frequency electrotome, when the electrotome with earth as the reference is used to detect the leakage current with loading or the insulated electrotome is applied to measuring the leakage current with no loading.

In recent years, the study of autophagy in spinal cord injury (SCI) gradually becomes the hot spot. However, the function of autophagy in the injured spinal cord is still controversial. In order to further understand the role of autophagy after SCI, we summarized the activation of autophagy, autophagic cell death, the relationship between autophagy and apoptosis, the function of autophagy in promoting the molecular metabolism and the role of autophagy after spinal cord injury. We concluded that the role of autophagy after SCI is a double-edged sword. Upregulating the level of autophagy appropriately can promote damaged proteins metabolism and inhibit apoptosis. However, excessive activation of antophagy may induce autophagic cell dealth. So we consider that the proper regulation of autophagy will be a new target in the treatment of SCI.

OBJECTIVEAn accurate and reliable analytical method for-simultaneous determination of six active components (scopolin, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid C) in plants of Erycibe was developed.
METHODScopolin, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid C in the samples were well separated in analytical HPLC by gradual elution with methanol-0.1% formic acid solution. The chromatographic condictions: Agilent Poroshell 120 EC-C18 column, flowing rate being 1 mL x min(-1), detecting wavelength at 345 nm.
RESULTGood linearities of scopolin, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid C were in the range of 0.026 8-2.68, 0.027 0-2.70, 0.008 1-0.81, 0.018 8-1.88, 0.017 6-1.76, 0.019 6-1.96 μg, respectively (r > 0.999 6). The average recoveries of the six components were 98.1%, 98.7%, 100.8%, 100.4%, 99.7%, 101.1%; the relative standard deviations were 2.67%, 2.86%, 2.62%, 1.98%, 2.76%, 2.19%.
CONCLUSIONThe method is simple, feasible and reproducible and can be used for the quality control of plants of Erycibe.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2005;25(1):35-36
OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture plus salt-partitioned moxibustion at Shenque (CV 8) on chloasma.
METHODSA total 106 cases of chloasma were randomly divided into two groups, a treatment group (n = 60) treated by acupuncture plus salt-partitioned moxibustion at Shenque (CV 8) and a control group (n = 40) by simple acupuncture. Their therapeutic effects were observed after 3 therapeutic courses and 1-month break, respectively.
RESULTSThe total effective rate was 100.0% in the treatment group and 89.1% in the control group with a significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture plus salt-partitioned moxibustion at Shenque (CV 8) is a safe and convenient therapy with a remarkable effect for chloasma.

The characteristic fingerprint of conventional dairy Nanhanshuishi was established by X-ray diffraction (XRD), based on similarity of caculation on public peaks by MATLAB software, and the feasibility of new dairy technology of microwave method was explored between XRD and the dissolution rate in artificial simulation gastric juices. The result showed that similarity of shared peak in XRD of conventional dairy Nanhanshuishi was > 95%, This XRD characteristic fingerprint of conventional dairy Nanhanshuishi had strong specificity, could be used to provide a reference for identification and quality evaluation. This study also showed that the similarity of microware dairy products and conventional dairy products was good, and the sample of microwave 15 min was the best, and new dairy method by the microwave could replace the traditional method.
