To observe the clinical effect of Yisui decoction plus western medicine in treating multiple system atrophy patients, totally 65 patients from China-Japan Friendship hospital during 2008-2012 with complete clinical data and received consecutive traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine treatment for more than 3 months were observed changes of traditional Chinese medicine symptom score, part 1 of unified multiple system atrophy rating scale, orthostatic hypotension before treatment and after 3 months treatment. After 3 months treatment, total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine symptom was 70.8%. Compared with before treatment, score of part 1 of unified multiple system atrophy rating scale was obviously reduced after 3 month treatment (P < 0.001). Ex- cept swallow function without significant improvement, the remaining projects of unified multiple system atrophy rating scale were im- proved obviously (P < 0.05), of which the most obvious differences were orthostatic symptoms, falls and intestinal function (P < 0.001). Orthostatic hypotension after 1 month treatment and 3 month treatment was obviously better than before treatment (P < 0.001). There was no significant difference in orthostatic hypotension between 1 month treatment and 3 month treatment. The research results show that Yisui decoction plus western medicine has a certain effect on improving clinical symptoms of multiple system atrophy patients, especially has a significant effect on orthostatic hypotension, and can maintain a stable clinical effect in a certain period of time.

OBJECTIVETo observe the changes of proximal femoral geometry after femoral neck fracture treated with THA, analyze the existent of differences and their manifestation.
METHODSAll patients of femoral neck fracture (FNF) and osteonecrosis of femoral head (ONFH) were treated with THA by the same operating team from January to December of 2014, including 22 patients with FNF (11 males and 11 females, with age from 44 to 83 years old (means 66.18 ± 11.47) and 23 patients with ONFH (12 males and 11 females, with age from 19 to 68 years old (means 51.91 ± 11.76). After THA, height of femorals, offsets, osteotomy position and adjusting modes were measured and the statistic analysis was done.
RESULTSAfter THA, all patients were measured. Decreased femoral height, offsets and lower osteotomy positions were found in patients with FNF than those with ONFH, and 3 kinds of adjustments because of lower-positional osteotomy were found.
CONCLUSIONAfter THA, lower-positional osteotomy and decreased femoral offsets may occur on patients with FNF. The adjustments caused by lower-positional osteotomy may lead to negative results.

Objective:In order to compare the effect of ascending medial open-wedge high tibial osteotomy and descending medial open-wedge high tibial osteotomy on patellar height. Methods:Our group analyzed 77 patients of medical cases which were closely associated with medial open-wedge high tibial osteotomy for the treatment of knee varus deformity and medial compartment osteoarthritis from May 2011 to December 2018 and 77 cases were effectively followed up, including 36 males and 41 females with an average age of 59.4±10.5. By the way, there are 51 cases of ascending osteotomy and 26 cases of descending osteotomy. During these treatment, we adopted some scientific methods full-length standing anteroposterior radiograph,Miniaci method, Insall-Salvati index (ISI), Caton-Deschamps index (CDI) and Blackburne-Peel Index (BPI) to measure the corresponding parameters and changes in patellar height (PH) at different stages.Results:77 patients were enrolled, the mean follow-up time was 20.6 months (range, 12-60 months), ascending and descending high tibial osteotomy (HTO) show the average degree of varus correction (10.43°±2.67° and 11.16°± 2.80°) respectively. And at the same time, in these cases of ascending HTO, PH decreased by 8.1% (CDI method), 2 cases of low PH (the patellar height decreased by 10%, which is the low patellar) were measured (ISI method), 7 cases of low PH occurred (CDI and BPI). Instead, PH decreased by 4.5% (CDI method) in descending HTO,the difference was significant ( t=2.101, P=0.040). 22 cases of ascending HTO with varus correction less than 10 degrees, the PH decreased by 6.9%. By the way, the ISI method did not detect the occurrence of low PH, but we found one by CDI and BPI. The 29 cases with varus correction of more than 10 degrees in ascending HTO, and PH decreased by 10.4%. There were 2 low PH (ISI method), and 6 low PH (CDI and BPI), the difference was significant ( t=2.310, P=0.028). Conclusion:In ascending HTO, the low PH is closely related to the degree of varus correction. Conversely, The descending HTO did not influence PH.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the protective effect of Danxuetong injection (DXT, a combination of Danshen and Xueshuantong injections) against testicular ischemia-reperfusion injury following testis torsion/detorsion in rats.
METHODSThirty-two 4-week-old healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups of equal number: sham operation, normal saline, single DXT injection, and successive DXT injection. The rat models of testicular ischemia-reperfusion injury were established by 2-hour 720-degree torsion/detorsion of the unilateral testis. At 6 weeks after modeling, the rats were killed and their testes were harvested for measure- ment of testicular coefficients, sperm counts, sperm motility, and the levels of total anti-oxidative capacity (T-AOC) , superoxide dismutase (SOD) , nitric oxide synthase (NOS) , and malondialdehyde ( MDA) in the testis tissue.
RESULTSCompared with the rats of the normal saline group, those of the single DXT injection and successive DXT injection groups showed significant increases in the testicular coefficient (0.11 ± 0.03 vs 0.35 ± 0.04 and 0.40 ± 0.06, P < 0.05), sperm count ([0.46 ± 0.10] vs [1.44 ± 0.50] and [3.00 ± 1.28] x10(9)/ml, P < 0.05), sperm motility ([13.63 ± 14.04] vs [39.63 ± 5.04] and [76.31 ± 3.67]%, P < 0.05), the activity of SOD (72.76 ± 5.58 vs 116.25 ± 8.83 and 133.20 ± 13.84, P < 0.05), and the level of T-AOC (5.58 ± 1.07 vs 13.34 ± 5.81 and 19.21 ± 5.69, P < 0.05), but a remarkable decrease in the content of MDA (42.38 ± 8.94 vs 20.94 ± 5.65 and 15.02 ± 1.03, P < 0. 05) in the injured testes.
CONCLUSIONDXT can effectively rid the testis tissue of oxygen free radicals, improve sperm count and motility by antioxidation, and protect the testis tissue of prepubertal rats against testicular ischemia-reperfusion injury after testis torsion/detorsion. It also has a protective effect on the contralateral testis, and successive injection has a better effect than single injection of DXT.

In this study, a novel resequencing pathogen microarray (RPM)-based multi-pathogen detection assay was developed to simultaneously detect 14 rotaviruses, 7 caliciviruses, 8 astroviruses, 28 enteroviruses, and 16 rare diarrhea viruses in patients with diarrhea syndrome. The specificity of the assay was examined using confirmed virus-positive specimens, and the sensitivity was evaluated by serial ten-fold dilutions of in vitro transcribed RNA. RPM assay could detect and differentiate virus types/subtypes at 20-2000 copies/microL. The detection threshold of RPM was determined by adjusting the reference concentration, and the detection steps were optimized to type Enterovirus. The nucleic acids of 10 stool samples from patients with unexplained diarrhea were screened, and 6 of them showed positive results. The RPM results were further verified by singleplex PCR followed by sequencing, and no difference was found between the two assays. In conclusion, we have established a high-throughput RPM assay with high specificity and sensitivity, which demonstrates a great potential for the identification of pathogens in patients with unexplained diarrhea and the management of emerging epidemic.

Chinese Journal of Stomatology 2012;47(z1):195-199
Objective To investigate the effect of TiO2-SiO2 coatings with different firing temperatures to the Ti-porcelain bond strength. Methods The surface of titanium was coated uniformly with TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings by solution-gelation (sol-gel) technology and then imposed three kinds of firing temperatures (300 ℃,500 ℃,750 ℃).The specimens without any coatings were the control group. The bond strength between the TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings and titanium substrate was tested by the scarification. The Ti-porcelain bond strength was evaluated using three-point bending test. The phase composition of the TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD).The interface of Ti-porcelain and fractured titanium surface were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM).Results When the heat treatment temperature was 300 ℃,500 ℃ and 750 ℃,the bond strength of the coatings to the titanium substrate was (15.3±0.8),(22.1 ± 0.5),and (28.5 ±1.3) N respectively. The XRD patterns of the coatings showed that no rutile phase was found in all specimens.Compared with the Ti-porcelain system without any intermediate coatings [(29.5 ± 4.2) MPa],the bond strength of the same system coated with TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings,being produced by the sol-gel technology and fired at 750 ℃ [(35.9 ± 2.3) MPa] was significantly increased by 21.8%.The SEM photomicrographs of titanium-porcelain interface morphology of the specimens before porcelain fused showed that the TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings fired at 750 ℃ was compact and homogeneous without any obvious cracks. The location of the Ti-porcelain fracture existed within the TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings.Conclusions TiO2-SiO2 nano-coatings by sol-gel technology fired at 750 ℃ can notablely improve the Ti-porcelain bond strength.
