Objective To explore the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of driver stress inventory (DSI). Methods Three hundred drivers were investigated with DSI. The structure validity, content validity and internal reliability were examined. Results (1)Except items 9,16 and 18, the others had good discrimination. (2) Six factors were extracted which could explained 45.277% of the total variance. The six factors were significantly correlated with DSI total score(r = 0.241~0.622, P<0.01). (3)The spilt-half reliability was 0.557, The six factors ' Cronbach alphas were 0. 569, 0. 631, 0. 799, 0. 675, 0. 587 and 0. 685 respectively. ConclusionDSI has good reliability and validity, and is an effective instrument to test drivers' stress.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristic of regional cerebral glucose metabolism in patients with Wilson's disease (WD) using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET.Methods Thirteen WD patients and 12 normal controls were studied by brain 18F-FDG PET, and the data were analyzed by visual analysis, semi-quantification and statistical parametric mapping (SPM). The radioactivity ratios of lenticular nuclei, caudate, thalamus and cerebellum to cerebral cortex and the ratio of lenticular nuclei to caudate were calculated, respectively. SPSS 11.0 software for statistics was also used to analyze the data. Results In WD patients, radioactivity of lenticular nuclei and candate was significantly decreased compared with controls. The radioactivity ratios of lenticular nuclei and caudate to cerebral cortex in WD patients were both significantly lower than that in normal controls (0.95±0.05 vs 1.26±0.05, t =15, P < 0.05 ; 1.02±0.06 vs 1.17±0.05, t = 8, P < 0.05), and the ratio of lenticular nuclei to caudate in WD patients was significantly higher than that in normal controls (0.93±0.06 vs 1.09±0.06, t =9, P< 0.05). Conclusion As compared with normal controls, patients with WD had significantly decreased glucose utilization in the basal ganglia, especially in the lenticullar nuclei.

Objective To discuss the technical specifications of current high-frequency electrotome detection,to avoid the hidden danger of high-frequency electrotome power detectors, and to measure the leakage current of different kinds of highfrequency electrotome accurately. Methods The power and leakage current of the high frequency electrotome were measured by FLUCK QA-ES Ⅱ high frequency electrotome analyzer. The safety of the two methods was compared before and after the improvement of the power measurement.Four parameters of leakage current were repeatedly measured with the ways of high frequency earthing and high frequency isolation respectively. The maximum measurement of leakage current was recorded. Results The improved connection method was safe in the power measurement. For the high-frequency electrotome in the model of high frequency earthing, the values of leakage current were restrained within the range of error with two ways of monopolar loading operation electrode and neutral electrode. For the high-frequency electrotome in the model of high frequency isolation, the values of leakage current were limited within the range of error withtwo ways of monopolar empty operation electrode and neutral electrode. Conclusion The improved high-frequency electrotome power detection method is safe for detectors. The data obtained from the leakage current detection method using the national standard correction method reflect the actual state of the high-frequency electrotome, when the electrotome with earth as the reference is used to detect the leakage current with loading or the insulated electrotome is applied to measuring the leakage current with no loading.

OBJECTIVEAn accurate and reliable analytical method for-simultaneous determination of six active components (scopolin, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid C) in plants of Erycibe was developed.
METHODScopolin, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid C in the samples were well separated in analytical HPLC by gradual elution with methanol-0.1% formic acid solution. The chromatographic condictions: Agilent Poroshell 120 EC-C18 column, flowing rate being 1 mL x min(-1), detecting wavelength at 345 nm.
RESULTGood linearities of scopolin, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid C were in the range of 0.026 8-2.68, 0.027 0-2.70, 0.008 1-0.81, 0.018 8-1.88, 0.017 6-1.76, 0.019 6-1.96 μg, respectively (r > 0.999 6). The average recoveries of the six components were 98.1%, 98.7%, 100.8%, 100.4%, 99.7%, 101.1%; the relative standard deviations were 2.67%, 2.86%, 2.62%, 1.98%, 2.76%, 2.19%.
CONCLUSIONThe method is simple, feasible and reproducible and can be used for the quality control of plants of Erycibe.

The volatile components of roots and stems of Zanthoxylum nitidum were investigated by supercritical fluid carbon dioxide extraction (SFE-CO2) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). Thirty-one and fifty-one compounds were identified in the supercritical extracts from roots and stems of Z. nitidum, respectively, and total twenty-seven compounds were the common constituents. Among them, the major constituents in root and stem supercritical extracts were spathulenol (18.49 and 26.18%), n-hexadecanoic acid (14.24% and 12.79%), ar-tumerone (6.95% and 8.88%), oleic acid (8.39% and 5.71%) and hexanoic acid (4.39% and 7.78%). The in-vitro MTT assay showed that the volatile components of roots and stems of Z. nitidum did not exhibited any cytotoxic activity against human cancer Huh-7 and normal IEC-6 cells. These results indicated the same nature of the volatile constituents in the root and stem of Z. nitidum. This investigation may provide further evidence for expansion of medicinal parts of Z. nitidum.

Objective To investigate the morphological and functional alterations of peritoneum in uremic rats undergoing peritoneal dialysis(PD). Methods Thirty-five male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group(sham operated group,n=6),uremia group(5/6 nephrectomy,n=6) and uremia with PD group(n=18).Uremia with PD group was subdivided into three subgroups according to different dialysis period(10 d,4 weeks and 8 weeks,n=6).Omenta were obtained for morphological examination, and peritoneal equilibration tests(PET) were performed to assess the transport function of peritoneal membrane. Results The number of blood vessels per high-power field in the uremia group, uremia with PD group and uremia with PD subgroups(5?3,10?5,17?5 and 19?4) were significantly increased compared with the control group(1?1),and that was much bigger in the uremia with PD group than the uremia group(P
