OBJECTIVETo investigate the efficacy and mechanisms of recombinant adenovirus containing c-FLIPs (cellular FLICE-inhibitory protein short) in inducing antiapoptosis activation of lymphocyte in vitro.
METHODSc-FLIPs gene was cloned from total RNA of lymphocyte with RT-PCR methods, then constructed recombined adenovirus Ad.c-FLIPs by pAdeasy system. H9 cells infected with Ad.c-FLIPs produced antiapoptosis derived from anti-Apo-1 antibody, and those antiapoptosis evaluated with PI stain flow cytometry (FCM) and Hoechst stain.
RESULTSc-FLIPs gene was successfully cloned from lymphocytes and incorporated into recombinant adenovirus Ad.c-FLIPs.After exposure to anti-Apo-1 for 24 h, the apoptosis of H9 cells preconditioned by Ad.c-FLIPs for 24 h as measured by Hochst stain or FCM significantly decreased, compared with non-preconditioned cells, 3.60% +/- 0.21% vs. 48.33% +/- 7.41%, respectively, indicating that Ad.c-FLIPs preconditioning protected H9 cells against apoptosis induced by anti-Apo-1.
CONCLUSIONRecombinant adenovirus Ad.c-FLIPs effectively induced anti-apoptosis activation of lymphocyte.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 1999;0(10):-
Objective To evaluate the CT findings of pancreatic carcinoid tumors. Methods The CT imaging data of five patients with pancreatic carcinoid tumors confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results The tumors ranged in maximum diameter from 2.0 to 11.0 cm with a mean of 6.4 cm. On unenhanced CT,the tumors were slightly hypodense relative to the pancreatic parenchyma, homogenous in 2 cases, and heterogenous in 3 cases. One tumor showed calcification. After contrast material injection, the solid component of the tumor showed marked heterogenous enhancement on the arterial phase scanning in 3 cases, and mild heterogenous enhancement in 2 cases. The degree of tumor enhancement was less intense than the surrounding pancreatic parenchyma due to necrosis of various degree, which led to the cystic appearance of the tumor in 1 ease.On the portal phase scanning, all tumors showed marked enhancement similar to that of the pancreatic parenchyma. On the delayed phase scanning, the degree of enhancement was more intense than the surrounding pancreatic parenchyma in 1 case.Liver metastases with retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy and peripancreatic vessels invasion were seen in 1 case.No dilatation of the biliary tract or pancreatic duct was present. Conclusion The CT features of pancreatic carcinoid tumors included infrequent dilatation of the biliary tract or pancreatic duct and unusual vascular involvement, calcification within the mass, marked enhancement similar to that of the surrounding pancreatic parenchyma during the portal phase scanning and more intense during the delayed phase scanning.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(3):250-254
Objective:
To learn the awareness rate of adverse events following immunization ( AEFI ) among Chinese parents, so as to provide suggestions for promoting vaccination.
Methods:
We searched relevant articles published before 24th June, 2020 from CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, CBM, PubMed and Web of Science, calculated the pooled awareness rate and 95% confidence interval ( CI ) , conducted Egger's test for publication bias and sensitivity analysis for stability of results.
Results:
Eight articles using cross-sectional design were included after screening from 235 initial records. Among 5 433 subjects, the pooled awareness rate of AEFI was 66.76% ( 95%CI: 52.75%-78.33% ) . Non-immigrant population possessed a higher awareness rate ( 67.32% ) compared with the immigrant population ( 56.54% ) . The parents with different levels of education showed various awareness rate of AEFI ( P<0.05 ) . The awareness rates of "children should be observed for at least 30 minutes after vaccination","slight adverse effects were commonly seen after vaccination","local redness and induration might occur after diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis ( DTP ) immunization","polio vaccine might bring mild diarrhea" were 86.18%, 66.76%, 41.89% and 30.22%, respectively. Egger's test showed that there was no publication bias. Sensitivity analysis indicated that the results were robust.
Conclusion
The pooled awareness rate of AEFI among Chinese parents is 66.76%, with lower rates found in the parents who are immigrants and have lower level of education.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the frequency of JAK2V617F mutation in Chinese patients with chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) and to study the relationship between JAK2V617F mutation and clinical characteristics.
METHODSJAK2V617F mutation was screened by allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (AS-PCR).
RESULTSJAK2V617F mutation was detected in 277 of the 412 patients with MPN. The frequency of JAK2V617F mutation was similar among essential thrombocythemia (ET), idiopathic myelofibrosis (IMF) and chronic myeloproliferative disorders-unclassified (MPD-U) (P > 0.05), but it was significantly lower than that in polycythemia vera (PV) (P < 0.05). The presence of JAK2V617F was found to be significantly correlative with advanced age at diagnosis (P < 0.01) and with higher hemoglobin levels and higher leukocyte counts (P < 0.05). Significant difference was found in complication of vascular events between JAK2V617 positive and negative patients (P < 0.05). JAK2V617F positive MPD-U patients were more prone to progress into typical MPN compared with JAK2V617F negative MPD-U patients. The association between abnormal karyotype and JAK2V617F was not found in cytogenetical analysis of 301 patients.
CONCLUSIONThe presence of JAK2V617F in MPD-U is associated with the disease development. There is a correlation between JAK2V617F mutation in MPN and advanced age, higher leukocyte counts, hemoglobin level and vascular events.

Objective:
To assess the risk of public health emergencies in Zhejiang Province, March 2021.
Methods:
An expert counsel was conducted to assess the risk of coronavirus disease 2019 ( COVID-19 ) , enteritis due to norovirus, chicken pox and influenza by professionals in Zhejiang CDC, based on the information from infectious disease and public health emergency surveillance in Zhejiang Province, domestic health administrative departments, World Health Organization, and European CDC.
Results:
In March 2021, the risk of imported COVID-19 epidemic will be high in Zhejiang Province, and the possibility of local spread could not be ruled out. The possibility of a large-scale outbreak of enteritis due to norovirus and a small-scale outbreak of chickenpox in schools and kindergartens could not be ruled out after the new term begins. An increased risk of influenza epidemic is predicted in collective units such as schools and kindergartens, yet the risk of a large-scale one will be low.
Conclusion
High attention should be paid to COVID-19 and enteritis due to norovirus, and general attention should be paid to chicken pox and influenza outbreak.

OBJECTIVETo prospectively investigate the effectiveness of suction drainage for correction of maxillofacial deformities caused by cystic lesions of the mandible.
METHODSSuction drainage was performed in 21 cases with large cystic lesions of the mandible which had expanded facial contour. Clinical and radiological examinations of these patients were carried out regularly. The volume of the cavity was measured during treatment. The expansion indexes on axial CT image and area of the cyst on a panoramic radiograph were measured preoperatively and postoperatively. The curettage via intraoral incision was completed until the extent of disease significantly shrunk.
RESULTSAfter a mean duration of suction drainage of 5.1 months, the volume and the size on the panoramic radiographic of the cystic lesions were reduced by an average of 84% and 63% respectively. The expansion indexes were reduced notably during treatment. Computerized tomography of the mandible showed that the contour of expanded mandible was restored greatly and notable new bone was formed in the area of cortex perforation.
CONCLUSIONSSuction drainage is a useful treatment modality for the primary management of giant cystic lesion of the mandible, and can fast correct maxillofacial deformities caused by bony expansion and perforation in the area of cystic lesions.
