Objective To establish the proposals of clinic and rehabilitation pathway for spine and spinal cord injury. Methods The experiences in clinic and rehabilitation treatment fields, the flow path of admission and the costs of hospitalization for spine and spinal cord injury patients in Chinese Rehabilitation Research Center were retrospectively summarized and analyzed. Related data in International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) core sets were also referred. Results The present proposals were applied to patients suffered from thoracic, lumbar or sacral spine injury with spinal cord injury. The proposals consisted of two parts: the surgical interventions in acute stage (within 2 weeks after injury) and clinic and rehabilitation treatments of spinal cord injury in sub acute and later stages (2 weeks to 6 months after injury). The criteria of surgical interventions in acute stage materialized the core therapies such as reconstruction of spine stability and neural decompression, etc. The criteria of treating spinal cord injury in subacute and later stages demonstrated the characteristic of combined therapy in which rehabilitation was the central element. Conclusion The establishment and implement of the present pathways were based on the time course of disease development and the staging feature of neural recovery and treatment after spinal cord injury. The purpose of this work is to improve the quality of medical service and reduce medical consumption.

: Rehabilitation medicine is a medical branch which focused on functional recovery. Function Evaluation is very important in assessing the function of patients, the effect of treatment and the efficiency of rehabilitation. Comprehensive Function Evaluation includes evaluation of physical, psychological, speech and society. Vocal, mental and social evaluation have deep cultural and national background. Therefore every country must have its own Function Evaluation Method. Now we present our design for Comprehensive Evaluation. Based on the cooperation of Department of Rehabilitation, Department of Neurology, Department of Spinal Cord Injury, Department of Speech Therapy and Department of Psychology. The advantages of this method are as follows: 1. The style of ADL, speech and thinking are suitable for the condition of our country. 2. The evaluation result adopts hundred work system, it is easy for medical staff, patients and their family to understand and communicate the result. 3. We make it more accurate, comprehensive and reliable by some simple tests on speech pathology and psychology. 4. We overcome some disadvantages of evaluation indexes because it is not correct and is difficult to be understood before. Now every evaluation index has quantity standard. 5. It is simple and practical. Each subtest takes 20 minutes or more. 6. It has been tested by normal people. The norm and severity grade had been developed. 7. The reliability is tested and is proved to be dependable.

ObjectiveTo determine the epidemiological characteristics and distributions of measles in Baoshan District, Shanghai. MethodsThis study used the measles surveillance information and reporting system to collect reported cases of measles in Baoshan District in 2005‒2021 and then conducted descriptive epidemiological methods to determine the temporality using the concentration method. ResultsIn 2005‒2021, a total of 525 measles cases were reported in Baoshan District with an average annual reported incidence rate of 1.75/105, showing an overall fluctuating downward trend and obvious seasonality. The cases concentrated in 30‒39 years of age (31.24%), 20‒29 years (28.57%), and under 5 years (16.57%). Majority of them were workers (18.10%), preschool children (16.19%), and unemployed persons (12.76%). The incidence was significantly higher in the central region than in the other two regions for workers, preschool children, and unemployed persons (χ2=54.515, P<0.001). Spatially, the incidence was significantly higher in the north-central sub-districts than in the south (χ2=88.103, P<0.001). Moreover, 33.14% of measles cases did not receive measles-containing vaccine (MCV), while 53.90% of the cases remained unknown. Additionally, uptake rate of MCV in non-local residents was significantly lower than in local residents (χ2=14.422, P<0.001). ConclusionThe measles incidence remains remarkably low in Baoshan District of Shanghai. Young and middle-aged populations in the north-central region are susceptible to measles. It is recommended to further strengthen measles surveillance, maintain high coverage of MCV among school-age children combined with catch-up immunization for at-risk populations, and improve health education.

ObjectiveTo compare the incidence of adverse events following immunization (AEFI) between vaccination with 13-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine (PCV13) alone and with other vaccines at the same time. MethodsWe obtained PCV13 vaccination adverse reaction reports for children vaccinated in Shanghai between 2017‒2021 from the National Immunization Program Information Management System and collected the information and the data of children vaccinated with PCV13 from The Shanghai vaccination information system. We compared the incidence of adverse reactions between stand-alone and simultaneous vaccination. ResultsA total of 11 175 PCV13 AEFI cases after stand-alone vaccination and 215 PCV13 AEFI cases after simultaneous vaccination were reported during 2017‒2021 in Shanghai, and the incidence rates were 1 252.34/105 and 1 455.75/105, respectively. ORV was the one mostly vaccinated with PCV13 at the same time, and the AEFI incidence was 1 706.67/105. The most reported symptom was fever after PCV13 vaccination, no matter by stand-alone and simultaneous vaccination with the respective incidence rates of 876.69/105 and 1 442.21/105. ConclusionIn general, PCV13 vaccinated with other vaccines at the same time slightly increases the incidence of AEFI.
