Objective The effectiveness of Zhuang nationality medical lotus needle plus back cupping therapy ( Zhuang needle-cupping therapy) , Flixonase aqueous nasal spray and cetirizine tablets in treating allergic rhinitis (AR) was compared for the exploration of the therapeutic mechanism of Zhuang needle-cupping therapy. Methods A total of 200 recruited AR patients were randomly divided into four groups in the proportion of 1:1:1:1. The four groups were Zhuang needle-cupping therapy group, cetirizine group, Flixonase group and blank control group. The blank control group had no medication, and the patients of the other three medication groups were given the corresponding treatment. Ten days constituted one treatment course, and interval between two courses lasted one week. After two courses, the therapeutic effect was evaluated. The changes of specific IgE (S-IgE), leukotriene (LT), interleukin 4(IL-4), IL-9 mRNA, interferon gamma (IFN-γ), Thl / Th2 cells, and Th17 cytokine ( IL-17) were observed before and after treatment. Results ( 1) After two treatment courses, Zhuang needle-cupping therapy group had better therapeutic effect than cetirizine group , Flixonase group and blank control group, and the therapeutic effect of cetirizine group and Flixonase group was better than the blank control group (P<0.05). However, the therapeutic effect of cetirizine group was similar to that of Flixonase group ( P>0.05). ( 2) After treatment, the levels of S-IgE, LT, IL-9 mRNA, IL-4 and IL-17 were decreased, and IFN-γ and Th1/Th2 levels were increased in the three medication groups ( P<0.05 compared with those before treatment) . The differ ences of the laboratory indexes in the blank control group were insignificant before and after treatment ( P>0.05). The results of inter-group comparison after treatment showed that Zhuang needle-cupping therapy group had better effect on improving S-IgE, LT, IFN-γand Th1/Th2 than cetirizine group and Flixonase group (P<0.05). (3) During the trial, no adverse reaction was found. Conclusion Zhuang needle-cupping therapy exerts certain therapeutic effect for AR, and the mechanism may be related with the inhibition of S-IgE, LT, IL-9 mRNA and IL-17 expression, and with the regulation of Th1/Th2 imbalance by decreasing TH2 cytokine level and increasing Th1 cytokine level.

Differences of the rest 2 groups showed statistical difference(P<0.05).(4)The state of illness was analyzed. The results showed statistical difference between spleen phlegm type and yin deficiency and fire hyperac-tivity type(P<0.05). No statistical difference can be found between the rest 2 groups(P>0.05).(5)The cross-tab chi-square test was carried out on the 4 groups of syndromes on the nasal allergy eye and allergy concomitant incidence. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the 4 groups(P>0.05).(6)On the phlegm part, the results showed difference between wind evil invading lung type and yin deficiency and fire hyper- activity type laryngeal cough(P>0.05). Differences between the rest 2 groups are of statistical significance(P<0.05).(7)Foreign body sensation was analyzed. The results showed no difference between insecure defensive exte-rior and intrinsic special type and wind evil invading lung type ,deficient spleen phlegm type and yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity type(P>0.05). Differences between the rest 2 groups are all of statistical significance(P<0.05). Conclusions The 4 groups of syndrome types, insecure defensive exterior and intrinsic special type and wind evil invading lung type are the most common. Deficient spleen phlegm type is middle ,yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity type come next. Cough caused by wind invading lung mainly occurs in the evening. Its duration is usually within 1 month. It may be accompanied by phlegm with or without occasional pharyngeal paraesthesia. The daily life is usually unaffected or slightly affected. Cough caused by deficiency of vital energy and specific intrinsic quality mainly occurs in the morning. Its duration is usually 3 months to 1 year. It may be accompanied by less phlegm or no phlegm without or with occasional pharyngeal paraesthesia. The daily life is unaffected or slightly affected. Cough caused by Yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity occurs from time to time. It duration is more than 1 year. It may be accompanied by phlegm with pharyngeal paraesthesia. Objective:To establish and preliminarily validate a nomogram model for predicting the risk of retinal vein occlusion (RVO).Methods:A retrospective clinical study. A total of 162 patients with RVO (RVO group) diagnosed by ophthalmology examination in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2017 to April 2022 and 162 patients with age-related cataract (nRVO group) were selected as the modeling set. A total of 45 patients with branch RVO, 45 patients with central RVO and 45 patients with age-related cataract admitted to Xi'an Fourth Hospital from January 2022 to February 2023 were used as the validation set. There was no significant difference in gender composition ratio ( χ2=2.433) and age ( Z=1.006) between RVO group and nRVO group ( P=0.120, 0.320). Age, gender, blood routine (white blood cell count, hemoglobin concentration, platelet count, neutrophil count, monocyte count, lymphocyte count, erythrocyte volume, mean platelet volume, platelet volume distribution width), and four items of thrombin (prothrombin time, activated partial thrombin time, fibrinogen, and thrombin time) were collected in detail ), uric acid, blood lipids (total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, lipoprotein a), hypertension, diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, and cerebral infarction. Neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and platelet/lymphocyte ratio were calculated. The single logistic regression was used to analyze the clinical parameters of the two groups of patients in the modeling set, and the stepwise regression method was used to screen the variables, and the column graph for predicting the risk of RVO was constructed. The Bootstrap method was used to repeated sample 1 000 times for internal and external verification. The H-L goodness-of-fit test and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used to evaluate the calibration and discrimination of the nomogram model. Results:After univariate logistic regression and stepwise regression analysis, high density lipoprotein, neutrophil count and hypertension were included in the final prediction model to construct the nomogram. The χ2 values of the H-L goodness-of-fit test of the modeling set and the validation set were 0.711 and 4.230, respectively, and the P values were 0.701 and 0.121, respectively, indicating that the nomogram model had good prediction accuracy. The area under the ROC curve of the nomogram model for predicting the occurrence of post-stroke depression in the modeling set and the verification set was 0.741 [95% confidence interval ( CI) 0.688-0.795] and 0.741 (95% CI 0.646-0.836), suggesting that the nomogram model had a good discrimination. Conclusions:Low high density lipoprotein level, high neutrophil count and hypertension are independent risk factors for RVO. The nomogram model established based on the above risk factors can effectively assess and quantify the risk of post-stroke depression in patients with cerebral infarction.

BACKGROUND:There are few studies on the effect of degeneration of paraspinal muscle on osteoporotic vertebral compression refractures treated by percutaneous vertebroplasty in postmenopausal women. This paper intends to reveal the relationship between them. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the relationship between degeneration of paraspinal muscle and osteoporotic vertebral compression refractures in postmenopausal women treated by percutaneous vertebroplasty. METHODS:The medical records of 81 postmenopausal female patients who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from May 2018 to March 2021 for osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture and received percutaneous vertebroplasty were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into an osteoporotic vertebral compression refracture group(n=39)and a control group(n=42)according to whether they had osteoporotic vertebral compression refracture after percutaneous vertebroplasty.General data, vertebral bone mineral density, paravertebral cross-sectional area and mean CT value(Hu)of the two groups were analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Univariate analysis showed that there was no significant difference in age and mean CT value of psoas major between the two groups(P>0.05).The body mass index, vertebral bone mineral density, paravertebral cross-sectional area and the mean CT value of the posterior vertebral muscle group in the control group were significantly higher than those in the osteoporotic vertebral compression refracture group(P<0.05).(2)Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that low vertebral bone mineral density(OR=0.004,95%CI:0.000-0.555,P<0.05)and low mean CT value of posterior vertebral muscle group(OR=0.940,95%CI:0.894-0.988,P<0.05)were independent risk factors for postmenopausal osteoporotic vertebral compression refracture.(3)It is indicated that degeneration of paraspinal muscle will increase the risk of osteoporotic vertebral compression refractures in patients treated by percutaneous vertebroplasty, especially in postmenopausal women with a low mean CT value of low posterior vertebral muscle group.
