China Pharmacist 2016;19(10):1875-1878
Objective:To investigate the protective effects of neferine on lipopolysaccharide ( LPS)-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells ( HUVECs) injury. Methods:The optimum inducing concentration of LPS was screened out through pretests and used for the model establishment of HUVECs damage. CCK8 was used to detect the influence of neferine at different concentrations on LPS-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells ( HUVECs) injury. Nitric oxide ( NO) content was measured by the Griess Reagent method. The nitric-oxide synthase (NOS) activity was assessed by the commercially available kits. Results:The inhibitory rate of HU-VECs was 54. 50% detected by CCK8, which induced by LPS at the concentration of 100 μg·ml-1(P<0. 01). Neferine at the con-centrations of 0. 3-5. 0μmol·L-1 could increase the cell viability in a concentration-dependent manner, while it inhibited the cell pro-liferation at the concentration of 10 μmol·L-1(P<0.05). Neferine could reverse the situation, and the NO release was increased and the tNOS/iNOS activity was increased induced by LPS (P<0. 05). The results shown by the inverted microscope suggested that the floating dead cells were decreased, the cell shape was basically sound and tightly packed with the concentration increase of neferine (0. 3-5. 0μmol·L-1) in a concentration-dependent manner. Conclusion:The results show that neferine has protective effects on HU-VECs injury induced by LPS, and the mechanism may be related with the decrease of intracellular levels of NO and NOS activity.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of hepatic resection plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy in combination with reflux prevention on intrahepatie bile duct stone. Methods The clinical data of 230 patients with intrahepaticbile duet stone surgically treated in our hospital in the past 18 years were retrospectively analyzed. Of the 230 patiets, 110 underwent hepatectomy plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostgmy in combination with reflux prevention and the others received other surgeries. The complications of pleural effusions, infection of incisional wound, leakage of bile and retained calculus after operation were studied. Meanwhile, the recurrent rate of stone and long-term effects were determined. Results The occurrinjg rate of pleural effusion, infection of incision wound, leakage of bile was not significantly different among different groups. However, the retained calculus and recurrent rate of stone in the group of patients underwent hepateetomy plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy in combination with reflux prevention were significantly decreased as compared with other group (P<0.05). So was the effect in long-term (P<0.05). Conclusion Hepatectomy plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy in combination with reflux prevention could have better effect on patients with intrahepatic bile duct stone.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2009;26(2):356-359
Six groups of soft liner/base resin were made into standard test samples of 60.0 mm x 25.0 mm x 3.0 mm, with different soft lining materials/base resin ratios of 0: 3.0, 0.5: 2.5, 1.0: 2.0, 1.5: 1.5, 2.0: 1.0, 2.5: 0.5. The yield strength and resilience of each group were tested by universal testing machine. We found that when the thickness of soft liner increased, the yield strength of samples was reducing, whereas the resilience was enhancing. The change of yield strength and resilience became stabilized between the ratio of 1.5: 1.5 to 2.03: 1.0. We concluded that, under this testing condition, the thickness of soft liner should not exceed 2.0 mm, and we suggested that the ratio of soft liner/base resin should be controlled within the scope of 1/1 to 2/1 according to the whole base thickness.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2011;28(2):318-321
We tried to find the effects of the application of the antibacterial solution containing silver ions on the surface of the denture soft lining material. We selected the right concentration of the silver-containing solution and coated a soft lining material with the solution so that the soft lining material could be antibacterial. The antibacterial solution containing silver ions was prepared by sol-gel method. MIC of C. a and S. a were tested by broth dilution test. The surface property and thickness were tested after coated. The in vitro antibacterial ratio against C. a and S. a were demonstrated by the method of plate-counting. A film was formed after coating, while the adequacy was not changed. Antibacterial ratio of 0.64 mg/ml group against C. a was 90.82%, and that against S. a was 94.96% in 24 hours, respectively. It was found that the antibacterial property of the soft lining material can be acquired by coating this antibacterial solution with silver ion, without changing the adequacy.
