Objective:To investigate the changes of expression levels of TLR9 and IL-6 in the periodontal tissue during the experimental tooth movement of the rats, and the effecst of the MT01 on the expression of TLR9,TRAF6 and IL-6 in periodontal tissue, and to clarify its related mechanisms. Methods:Thirty Wistar rats were randomly divided into MT01 intervention group(n=6) and non-MT01 group(n=24).Force of 0.49 N was applied to move the upper first molars mesially. The rats in Non-MT01 intervention group were sacrificed on the days 3,7,14 and 21, and the rats in MT01 intervention group were all sacrificed on the day 7. RT-qPCR was used to detect the expression levels of TLR9,TRAF6 and IL-6 mRNA in maxillary first molar alveolar bone in each group. Results:The expression levels of IL-6 and TLR9 mRNA in loaded side were higher than those in control side(P<0.05), and reached the maximum levels on the day 7(P<0.01);with the interpose of MT01, the expression levels of TLR9 and TRAF6 mRNA were lower than control side(P<0.01).Conclusion: MT01 could down-regulate the expression levels of TLR9 and TRAF6 during orthodontic tooth movement and eventually resists the inflammation during the tooth movement.

Objective To investigate the expression and prognostic significance of inhibitor of growth 4 (ING4) and tail-type homeobox transcription factor 2 (CDX2) in colorectal cancer. Methods The expressions of ING4 and CDX2 pro-teins were detected by immunohistochemistry in 99 tissue samples of colorectal cancer and 30 corresponding para-cancer-ous normal tissue samples. The data of clinic outcomes were collected. The correlations between the expressions of ING 4 and CDX2 and clinicopathological parameters were also analyzed. Results The positive expression rates of ING4 and CDX2 were 68.8%and 72.7%in colorectal cancer tissues, which were significantly lower than those of corresponding normal tissue samples (93.3% and 96.7%, P<0.05). There were significant differences in the differentiation, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and tumor stage between expressions of ING4 and CDX2 (P<0.05). The 5-year survival rate was significant-ly lower in ING4 negative group (35.5%) compared with that of ING4 positive group (77.9%). The 5-year survival rate was significantly lower in CDX2 negative group (48.1%) than that of CDX2 positive group (70.8%, P<0.05). The expression of ING4 was positively correlated with the expression of CDX2 in colorectal cancer. Conclusion The expressions of ING4 and CDX2 are strongly associated with the carcinogenesis, development and prognosis of the colorectal cancer, which suggests that ING4 and CDX2 might be used as prognostic markers for the colorectal cancer.

Background Trans-arachidonic acids (TAAs) are specific lipid markers of nitrative stress and the major products of NO2·-mediated ismoerization of aracchidonic acid(AA),and they represent a possible new mechanism of NO2·-induced toxicity in ischemic retinopathy. Our previous study demonstrated that high glucose induce nitrative stress response. Objective This study aimed to evaluate the effect of nitrative stress on retinal capillary in diabetic rats by detecting the TAAs with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry(GC/MS).Methods One hundred 2-week-old clean male SD rats were randomly divided into control group and diabetic group.Diabetic rat models were induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozoticin of 60 mg/kg,and the successful models were identified as the blood glucose level>16.7 mmol/L.The synthesis method was modified in this study andaraehidonic acid w8$utilized as starting material.14E-AA was obtained as a standard sample via expoxidation and deoxidation in a safe and practical pattern.Serum TAAs and AA in diabetic rats were detected by GC/MS in 2,4,8,12 and 16 weeks after injection of streptozoticin. The ratio of peak area of TAAs to AA with selected ion of 79 was estimated and compared with normal rats. Results Fifty rats had been in Diabetic models were established in 50 rats with the successful rate 100%,and the high blood glucose level in model rats retained throughout the experimental duration.GC/MS results showed that the 14E-AA was obtained with the purity of 97.3%,which provided a standard sample to nitrative stress-related research as a premise. No significant differences were found in serum TAAs/AA values at 2 weeks and 4 weeks between model group and control group (t =-0. 376, t =-0. 642,P>0. 05). However, serum TAAs/AA values in at 8,12 and 16 weeks after streptozoticin injection were considerably elevated in comparison with those of control group (0. 0832 vs 0. 1042,0. 0910 vs 0. 1568, 0. 1100 vs 0. 1895;t=-36.409,t=-166.714,t=-148.212,P<0. 05). Conclusion Elevation of serum TAAs/AA is associated with diabetic duration, implying that damage of nitrative stress to retinal capillary is a parallel procedure to diabetic course.Establishment of GC/MS detection system offers a new evaluating indicator in the research on microvascular ischemic disease and could be implemented in clinical testing.

Objective:To observe the effect of a new modified double-eyelid operation. Methods:From February 2018 to January 2021, modified tarsal plate-orbicularis oculi muscle-orbital septum (TMS) suture was performed in 193 double-eyelid operation in the plastic surgery department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, including 14 males and 179 females. The patients aged from 18 to 45 years with an average of (22.3±4.2) years. The patients were followed up for 6-24 months to observe the morphology of the double eyelid fold and complications. Results:The 193 patients were included. The double eyelid lines of 173 patients were smooth, natural, durable and the scar was shallow; both doctors and patients were satisfied. There were no obvious complications after the operation. The double eyelid line became shallow or disappeared in 11 patients, and the double eyelid asymmetry occurred in 7 patients after the operation. However, the folds were symmetrical and natural after secondary operation, and both doctors and patients were satisfied. Conclusions:TMS suture not only establishes a firm adhesion, but also effectively transmits the force of the levator aponeurosis with significant advantages. After the operation, the double eyelid line is smooth, natural and stable. Both doctors and patients are highly satisfied. It is an improved double eyelid procedure worthy of clinical promotion.

Objective To analyze the results of acceptance testing of 60 extraoral dental X-ray equipment in Beijing, China from 2021 to 2022, and understand the main types and performance parameters of newly installed extraoral dental X-ray machines in the clinical market of Beijing, as well as the level of installation and trial run of the whole machine by various manufacturers, and to summarize the problems found in acceptance testing for improving equipment testing. Methods Field acceptance testing and evaluation were carried out according to the Specification for Testing of Quality Control in Medical X-Ray Diagnostic Equipment (WS 76—2020). Results The overall qualified rate of 60 extraoral dental X-ray equipment was 98.33%. Under the same condition of the same tube voltage for one dental equipment, the maximum deviation of the tube voltage indicated by the two modes (panorama and skull) is 5.5%, and the maximum difference of the half-value layer of the useful beam is 1.22 mm Al. There is also a certain difference between the exposure time indicating deviation from the panorama and the skull, with a maximum difference of 75.51%. Conclusion Strengthening ex-factory quality control, installing, and debugging of equipment can basically guarantee the performance of newly installed equipment. In the testing process, it is critical to ensure the effective point of measurement of the dose detector located on the central axis of the primary beam.

Objective To study the hemodynamic effects of enhanced external counter pulsation(EECP)on typical coronary artery disease and microcirculation angina. Methods A physiological model of the right dominant coronary artery, including the coronary conduit arteries and coronary microcirculation, was established using lumped parameter models.Pathological conditions, such as one-vessel lesions,three-vessel lesions, and microcirculation angina, were simulated.EECP intervention models were established, and the hemodynamic effects of EECP on pathological models was simulated. Results The simulation results of the coronary physiological model, pathological models, and EECP intervention model established in this study were consistent with experimental data in related literature.EECP improved coronary blood flow in all three pathological conditions. For one-vessel lesions,EECP could not recover the blood flow of left main coronary artery to a normal level after the stenosis rate reached 80%-85%.For three-vessel lesions,EECP treatment could not be used if the stenosis rate in one of the three vessels exceeded 90%.For microcirculation angina,EECP was effective when critical condition myocardial blood flow was>1.03 mL/min·g and coronary flow reserve was>1.64.Conclusions The model of coronary disease under EECP interference established in this study meets expectations, and the obtained simulation data have certain reference values for the clinical application of EECP.

For the past several decades, the infectious disease profile in China has been shifting with rapid developments in social and economic aspects, environment, quality of food, water, housing, and public health infrastructure. Notably, 5 notifiable infectious diseases have been almost eradicated, and the incidence of 18 additional notifiable infectious diseases has been significantly reduced. Unexpectedly, the incidence of over 10 notifiable infectious diseases, including HIV, brucellosis, syphilis, and dengue fever, has been increasing. Nevertheless, frequent infectious disease outbreaks/events have been reported almost every year, and imported infectious diseases have increased since 2015. New pathogens and over 100 new genotypes or serotypes of known pathogens have been identified. Some infectious diseases seem to be exacerbated by various factors, including rapid urbanization, large numbers of migrant workers, changes in climate, ecology, and policies, such as returning farmland to forests. This review summarizes the current experiences and lessons from China in managing emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, especially the effects of ecology, climate, and behavior, which should have merits in helping other countries to control and prevent infectious diseases.
