Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
To evaluate the charasteristics and risk factors of hospital infections in patients with contagious diseases, 489 patients with contagious diseases were analyzed. Among 18 patients who contracted hospital infections, 17 were suffering from chronic hepatitis. 77 78% of them were over 40 years old. Infection of ascitic fluid, lower respiratory tract, and blood stream comprised 77 78% of the infections. Most of the doctors used antibiotics empirically. The survey showed that patients over 40 years old in an infectious diseases hospital were vulnerable to hospital infections. Hospital infection often occurred in the abdomen, lower respiratory tract, and blood stream. Abdominal paracentesis liver puncture biopsy, and lumbar puncture were the first three exogenous risk factors.

Objective To investigate the effects of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor on proliferation of adipose-derived adult stromal cells(ADASc) in rats. Methods Sixteen SD rats were randomly divided into G-CSF group( n = 8) and control group( n = 8). The rats were subjected to subcutaneous injections of G-CSF at a dose of The ADASc were separated and cultured. Then: ( 1 ) The surface antigens of the ADASc were analyzed by flow cy- tometry. (2)The growth information of the ADASc were observed in vitro. (3)The generation cycle of the ADASc were investigated with the flow cytometry. Results ( 1 ) Flow cytometic detection of ADASe surface marks showed CD44+CD105-CD31-CD45-(2)The doubling generation time, the maximum proliferation multiple and the cell cycle distri- bution of ADASc in G-CSF group had significant difference from that of the control group. Conclusion The discrep- ancy adherence was a practical method to culture the ADASc;G-CSF treatment could promote ADASc re-entering into cell cycle.

1.15). Rosiglitazone at the concentration of 1.25 ?mol?L -1 augme nted the induction apoptosis of A549 cells by treatment with Cisplatin at variou s concentrations of 1.98 mg?L -1, 2.8 mg?L -1 and 4.0 mg?L -1 . A549 cells treated with Rosiglitazone at concentration of 1.25 ?mol?L -1 domostrated nuclear traslocations of PPAR? protein and down-regulation of Bcl-2 protein. Conclusion The ligand of PPAR? Rosiglitazone enhanc ed the inhibition of proliferation and induction of apoptosis by treatment with Cisplatin in A549 cells cultured in vitro. Activation of PPAR? protein and the down-regulation of Bcl-2 possiblely play an improtant role in chemosenstiz eic mechanism of Rosiglitazone in vitro.

AIM:To observe the changes of hepatic fibrosis index, clinical symptom, physical sign and hepatic function after the patients were treated treatment with reduced glutathione hormone.METHODS:The 72 patients were divided into two groups that one was the treatment group with 37 patients and the other was the control group with 35 patients. The control group was accepted the treatment with Ganlixin Injection,Magnesium Aminosuccinate Injection and Mulvital, etc. The treatment group was accepted reduced glutathione hormone(1.5 g,once a day)in addition. The course of treatment lasted for 8 weeks. We observed the two groups' blood-serum fibrosis indexes(HA,LN,PIII-P,C-IV)and biochemistry indxes(TBIL,ALT,AST,GGT)before and after the treatment.RESULTS:The improvements of the treatment group were much better than the control group on the sides of clinical symptom, physical sign, hepatic function and blood-serum fibrosis. The treatment group's blood-serum fibrosis indexes were much lower after the treatment(P

Objective To study the changes of nitric oxide synthase in placenta during fetal cardiac bypass. Methods Eight pregnant ewes (gestation 120~140 d)were divided equally into control group and bypass group. Bypass group underwent fetal cardiac bypass with centrifugal pump and placenta. Fetal hemodynamic date and blood gas value were recorded before and after bypass. Placenta vascular resistance was calculated. Fetal serum nitric oxide (NO), serum endothlin-1(ET-1) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) of placenta tissue were assayed. Transcriptions of endothelial NOSmRNA in placental tissue were assayed with RT-PCR technique. Results Acidosis and pressure of oxygen decreased after bypass appeared in fetal lamb of bypass group. Placenta vascular resistance of bypass group elevated significantly (P

Objective To investigate the treatment options of clomiphene(CC) resistant polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) related infertility. Methods Figty nine PCOS patients with CC resistant anovulation were accepted and treated by the following three protcols :(1)follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) group, 49 cycles; (2)FSH +pulsatile gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) group, 13 cycles; (3)conventional in vitro fertilization (IVF)_embryo transfer(ET) group, 19 cycles. Suppressive treatment on serum luteinising hormone (LH)and testosterone (T) levels was given in the first and second groups in advance. Serum estradiol level; pregnancy rate; miscarriage rate, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and multiple pregnancy rate were compared among the three groups. Results The pregnancy rate in FSH group, FSH+GnRH group and IVF ET group werte 37%,54% and 22% respectively. The highest rate and multiple pregnancy rate was found in IVF ET group. Conclusion The rationale treatment options for CC resistant PCOS related infertility was the addition pre suppressive treatment, low dose FSH stimulated regimen subsequent pulsatile GnRH infusion. IVF were only accepted after failure with gonadotropin therapy.

Journal of China Medical University 2010;(2):138-139,143
Objective To evaluate the relationship between Chlamydia pneumoniae(CP) infection and lung cancer. Methods literatures that reported on the associations between CP and lung cancer were retrieved by searching international and national databases.Meta-analysis was done by RevMan 4.2 software. The pooled OR values and 95% CI were calculated, and published bias was assessed by funnel plots. Results Totally 10 studies with 1 769 cases and 1 922 controls were enrolled. The analysis showed that the pooled OR of the association between chronic CP infection and lung cancer was 2.17 with the 95% CI of 1.43 to 3.28.Conclusion CP infection may be associated with lung cancer.CP infection may be a potential risk factor for lung cancer.
