Network labs built with virtual instruments promote the reform of the teaching concept. They also improve the network teaching and reduce the cost of teaching. The application of virtual instruments in the hygiene analytical chemistry network teaching is very necessary.

ELISA was used to examine fasting plasma resistin.Resistin level was significantly increased in type 2 diabetic patients as compared with normal controls(P<0.05).Fasting plasma resistin level was not statistically different(P>0.05)between the patients with and without diabetic microangiopathy.After treatment with insulin,the level of resistin was significantly dropped.

[Objective]To explore the mechanism of bioactive tanshinones in Salviae Miltiorrhiae regulating angiogenesis and lay the foundation for the prevention and treatment of cancer, atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease and other angiogenesis-related diseases. [Method]Based on angiogenesis mechanisms, infer to recent 10 years of articles from home and abroad, analyze and summarize the angiogenesis regulatory mechanisms of various bioactive ingredients in Danshen on endothelial cells, in vitro tumour cells and in vivo xenograft tumor. [Result] Among various bioactive ingredients of Salvia, Salvianolic acid B, Tanshinone IIA, Cryptotanshinone, Dihydrotanshinone I can promote or inhibit angiogenesis. Furthermore, Salvianolic acid B and Tanshinone IIA are considered to be the most important bioactive ingredients in Danshen and exhibit a dual angiogenic regulating activity through regulating various approaches, such as pro-angiogenic factors, MMPs, HIF-1α, the PI3K/AKT/eNOS signal pathway and so on. [Conclusion]Various bioactive ingredients of Salvia can serve as a regulator of angiogenesis, and it may provide new ideas for the prevention of angiogenesis-related diseases.

Objective To investigate the significance of the expression of endostatin and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The expression of endostatin and VEGF in 46 specimens which were collected at Second Affiliated Hospital of Fnjian Medical University from January 2000 to Apfil 2005 was detected by immunohistochemistry.The relationship between the expression of endostatin and VEGF and the progression of HCC was determined.All data were analyzed via t test,paired t test,Pearson rank correlation coefficient.LSD-t test or Tamhane's-t test.Results The expression of endostatin and VEGF was detected mainly in the cytoplasm of HCC cells and adjacent tissues.The values of mean optical density (MOD)of endostatin in HCC tissue,adjacent tissue and normal liver tissue were 0.11±0.02,0.14±0.0l and 0.09±0.01.respectively,and the values of integrated optical density(IOD)of endostatin in the above mentioned tissues were(1.8±0,2)×10~4,(3.8±2.2)×10~4 and(0.9±0.4)×10~4,respectively.The values of MOD and IOD of endostatin in HCC tissue were significantly lower than those in adjacent tissue(t=2.032,7.927,P＜0.05).The values of MOD of VEGF in HCC tissue,adjacent tissue and normal liver tissue were 0.13±0.02.0.12±0.02 and 0.11±0.02,respectively,and the values of IOD of VEGF were(5.4±3.1)×104,(3.9±2.5)×10~4 and(3.0 ±3.0)×10~4,respectively.The values of MOD and IOD of VEGF in HCC tissue were significantly hisher than those in adjacent tissue(t=5.871,8.723,P<0.05).There was positive correlation between the expression of endostatin and the recurrence of HCC(r=0.669,P<0.05),while VEGF had no influence on the recurrence of HCC(t=0.892,P>0.05).Conclusions Endostatin is mainly expressed in HCC tissue,but the level of its expression is lower in HCC tissue than in adjacent tissue.The expression of VEGF is higher in HCC tissue than in adjaneet tissue.Endostatin,rather than VEGF,may be used as a independent prognostic factor of the prognosis of patients with HCC.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of arthroscopically assisted percutaneous screw fixation for treating patella fractures.Methods A total of 14 cases of patella fractures were treated by percutaneous reduction and internal fixation with screws under arthroscope from November 2001 to June 2004 in this hospital.The fracture was reduced by closed manipulation or percutaneous leverage force using the Kirschner wire.Then the patella was temporarily fixed by using a large-sized towel clamp or Kirschner wires.Under the guidance of knee arthroscopy or C-arm fluoroscopy,a micro-incision was made at the site of screw placement,the pilot holes were drilled at a proper depth,and the thread was configured.Two titanium screws or absorbable screws were inserted parallelly.Results Follow-up checkups for 6~18 months(mean,10 months) in 13 cases showed a satisfactory recovery of knee functions.According to the Xu Shaoding's standard,excellent effects were obtained in 11 cases(84.6%) and good effects,2 cases(15.4%).Conclusions Treatment of patellar fractures by percutaneous screw fixation under arthroscope offers advantages of minimal invasion,accurate reduction,reliable fixation,and excellent recovery of joint functions.

Objective To retrospectively analyse the adverse reactions and complications of Graves' disease after thyroid arteries embolization.Methods 41 patients of Graves' disease underwent interventional embolization have been analysed with its adverse reactions and complications. Polyvinyl alcohol or bletilla microspheres and micro coils were used in these patients. Results Laryngopharyngeal and neck pain occurred in all patients. T 3 and T 4 increased in 3 days to one week after the procedure. Thirty of them showed fever. Dystopic embolism happened in two cases with one of transitory hypoparathyroidism. No hypothyroidism or hypoparathyroidism or hoarseness occur during long term follow up.Conclusions The adverse reactions and complications of Graves disease after thyroid arteries embolization may occur. Some of them are preventable and curable.

Objective To study the pathological morphology of thyroid specimen after thyroid arteries embolization. In order to select appropriate size of embolizing granules, the diameters of thyroid arteries in Graves' disease were measured. Methods Multiple slides of embolized thyroid tissues from superior pole, body and inferior pole of the resected thyroid glands were made. After being embedded and stained, pathological morphology was observed and diameters of arteries in various parts of thyroid glands were measured under microscopy. Results Pathological examination of thyroid glands showed that superior and inferior thyroid arteries and most of their branches were embolized with ischemic necrosis and fibrosis in the embolized thyroid tissue. Follicular epithelium appeared as flat or cubic shapes with colloid reduction. Average diameter of main branches of superior artery was 440～550?m and that of inferior artery was 300～375?m. The diameters of capillary network in the thyroid body was 120～250?m, and the non embolized ones was 40～110?m. The diameter of isthmus was 130～150?m. Conclusions Pathological morphology of Graves' disease after thyroid arteries embolization showed that the excretion of thyroid glands would be decreased and equivalents to subtotal thyroidectomy.
