Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2014;(4):506-510
[Objective]To explore the mechanism of bioactive tanshinones in Salviae Miltiorrhiae regulating angiogenesis and lay the foundation for the prevention and treatment of cancer, atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease and other angiogenesis-related diseases. [Method]Based on angiogenesis mechanisms, infer to recent 10 years of articles from home and abroad, analyze and summarize the angiogenesis regulatory mechanisms of various bioactive ingredients in Danshen on endothelial cells, in vitro tumour cells and in vivo xenograft tumor. [Result] Among various bioactive ingredients of Salvia, Salvianolic acid B, Tanshinone IIA, Cryptotanshinone, Dihydrotanshinone I can promote or inhibit angiogenesis. Furthermore, Salvianolic acid B and Tanshinone IIA are considered to be the most important bioactive ingredients in Danshen and exhibit a dual angiogenic regulating activity through regulating various approaches, such as pro-angiogenic factors, MMPs, HIF-1α, the PI3K/AKT/eNOS signal pathway and so on. [Conclusion]Various bioactive ingredients of Salvia can serve as a regulator of angiogenesis, and it may provide new ideas for the prevention of angiogenesis-related diseases.

Objective To investigate the use of sodium hyaluronate and the preservation of epidural fat in the prevention of epidural scar adhesion after microendoscopic discectomy (MED). Methods A total of 300 patients receiving MED from July 2000 to October 2001 were randomly divided into 2 groups: patients in group A were given sodium hyaluronate with the preservation of epidural fat, while those in group B were on the contrary. Results The mean follow-up duration was 42 months in the group A and 44 months in the group B, respectively. The rate of excellent or good results was 98.6% in the group A (144/146), while 93.8% in the group B (135/144) ( ? 2=4.731, P =0.030). Postoperatively, the pain reappeared in 4 cases in the group A and in 6 cases in the group B, respectively, in which a re-operation was required. Re-operations found the epidural scar adhesion was grade 0 (3 cases) and grade 1 (1 case) in the group A, and grade 2 (2 cases) and grade 3 (4 cases) in the group B ( P =0.005). Conclusions Use of sodium hyaluronate with the preservation of epidural fat can improve the efficacy of MED and effectively prevent epidural scar adhesion.

ve To investigate the effects of clinical relevant concentrations of midazolam on whole-cell N-type calcium currents of sympathetic ganglion neurons trying to assess the involvement of sympathetic ganglion in circulation depression produced by midazolam. Methods 7-10 d SD rats were decapitated and bilateral superior cervical ganglions were rapidly removed and kept in 4℃, oxygen saturated incubation solution. TTX 1?mol/L and nifedipine 10 ?mol/L were added to the solution to block the Na+ and L-type calcium currents. Midazolam was also added to the solution. The final concentration of midazolam were 0.1, 0.3, 3, 10, 50, 100?mol/L.The effects of different concentration of midazolam on the whole-cell N-type calcium channel currents were assessed by patch-clamp technique. Results When the holding potential (Vh) was - 80mV and stimulating votage(Vt) was between - 30mV and 10mV midazolam inhibited the whole-cell N-type calcium currents dose-dependently ( r = 0.964, P

Objective To assess the reliability and validity of the Somatic Self-rating Scale(SSS). Methods The sample consisted of 589 outpatients and 64 inpatients, which all the patients completed Zung's Scales at the same time to test criterion validity of the SSS. And 24 inpatients were selected randomly to take a retest after two weeks without antidepressant treatment. Result The test-retest reliability of the SSS was 0.96 and the Cronbach' s αcoefficients was 0.89. The correlation coefficients of the four factors with the total scale score ranged from 0.76 to 0.88, the correlation coefficients of the four factors ranged from 0. 56 to 0.70. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the fit index for GFI, NFI, NNFI, CFI, IFI were all approaching 0.9, REMEA = 0. 064,x2/df = 3.67. The factor loadings ranged from 0. 427 to 0.732. Correlations with Zung's Scales were in range of 0.74to 0. 80 while the four factors were in range of 0.55 to 0.74. Drawing the ROC curve and the area under the curve was 0.841. Conclusion The SSS has a high reliability and a good validity and can be used in general hospital.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(2):-
Objective To study the effect of IFN-γ inhalation via aerosol on cytokines of the immunocompromised rats. Methods Immunocomprised rat model was established with cortisol acetate injection for 14 d and then Candida albicans fluid was injected by tracheal for establishing am immuno comprised with pulmonary infection model. IFN-γ was inhaled with aerosol 1 d before the bacterium injection and then for 1, 3 and 7 d respectively. The activity of TNF-α, and the levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in the supernatant of the cultured alveolar macrophage(AM), the activity of IFN-γ and TNF-α in bronchial alveolar lavage fluid (BALF), the expressions of IFN-γ,TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 of the lung tissues, the level of IFN-γ,IL-1β, and IL-6 in the serum were investigated. Results The activity of TNF-α, and the levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in the culture supernatant of the AM of the rats treated with IFN-γ were significantly higher than those of the control. The activity of IFN-γ and TNF-α in BALF was higher in the IFN-γ inhaled rats than in the control (except the activity of TNF-α on the 7th day). The expressions of IFN-γ and IL-1β in lung tissues was higher in the rats treated with IFN-γ than in the control. The expression of TNF-α in the rats treated with IFN-γ was less than that in the control rats. The expression of IL-6 had no difference between 2 groups. And no difference was found in the activity of IFN-γ, and the levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in the serum between 2 groups(except IL-1β on the 3rd day). Conclusion Administration of IFN-γ via aerosol can obviously increase the activity or levels of some cytokines in the lung of the immunocompromised rats, but has no effect on them in serum of the immunocompromised rats.

AIM: To study the interactions of propofol and midazolam on the whole cell sodium channel currents in rat sympathetic ganglion neurons. METHODS: Whole cell patch clamp recordings were made from enzymatically isolated rat (7- 10 d ) superior cervical sympathetic ganglion neurons. Isobolographic analysis was applied to evaluate the potency of combinations of propofol and midazolam on Na + channel currents. RESULTS: Under V h= 80 mV and V t= 0 mV . Propofol and midazolam dose dependently blocked Na + currents with a mean drug concentration required to produce 50% current inhibition (IC 50 ): 33.12 ?mol?L -1 and 18.35 ?mol?L -1 ; clinically relevant concentrations of propofol and midazolam reduced Na + peak currents by 27.66 % (P
