Objective To establish a method for rapid determination of chlorinated benzene compounds in drinking water.Methods Chlorinated benzene compounds were extracted by purge-and-trap and separated by GC then determined by MS.Results The correlation coefficients of 6 chlorinated benzene compounds were 0.999 1-0.999 8 and the average rates of recovery were 93.0%-97.5%(n=6).The relative standard deviation was 2.45%-4.36%(n=6) and limit of detection 0.007-0.05 ?g/L.Conclusion The method established in the present paper is simple,precious,accuracy and sensitive and applicable to the determination of chlorinated benzene compounds in water.

Objective To investigate the changes of sexual hormones, trace elements and fertility in female uremia patients and their relations during hemodialysis or after renal transplantation.Methods Data of 43 cases of uremia during hemodialysis or after renal transplantation from March 1999 to December 2002 were retrospectively analyzed. Many kinds of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)exist in the indoor air,the chemical reaction will occur among the pollutants when O3 and NO2 exist simultaneously.This reaction can severely impact the indoor air quality and produce some adverse effects on human health.The main chemical reactions among the indoor air pollutants and the potential health effects associated with inhalation exposure to the products of the chemical reaction in the indoor air were discussed in the present paper.The study of the chemical reactions among indoor VOCs is very important for human health and is helpful for revising the Indoor Air Quality Standard and making the 'Ecologic Label' of building materials.

Objective To probe into the effect of the enteral nutrition added with lactobacillus on gastric bacteria of rats with severe brain injury. Methods Severe brain injury was made in rats that were then fed with enteral nutrition (3-9 entire nutrients), lactobacillus (3-9 entire nutrients + lactobacillus) and synbiotics (3-9 entire nutrients + lactobacillus + fiber) respectively. Gastric body and gastric antrum mucosa were collected at day 1, 3 and 7 after injury to detect the change of the gastric bacteria. Results DCCE analysis showed less bacteria in sham operation group. On the first day after severe brain injury, the flora bands were increased remarkably but the number of bacteria was decreased in three groups. The similarity of denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis ( DGGE) map patterns was 65% , 64% and 53% respectively in the enteral nutrition group, lactobacillus group and synbiotics group, with no significant difference in regard of the diversity index. On the third day after severe brain injury, the flora bands showed a tendency of decrease, with the similarity of denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) map patterns for 72% , 58% and 62% respectively. The richness and diversity of total bacteria in the lactobacillus group was remarkably lower than that in the enteral nutrition group and synbiotics group (P＜0.01). On the seventh day after SHI, the flora bands were decreased in three groups, with the minimum number of the bacteria. The similarity of denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis ( DGGE) map patterns was 61% , 51% and 58% respectively, with higher richness and diversity of total bacteria in the synbiotics group compared with the other groups. Conclusion Lactobacillus can help improve gastric bacteria disturbance of rats with severe brain injury. In the meantime, addition of the lactobacillus is better than addition of the synbiotics.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of fungal infections of the lungs after renal transplantation. Methods A total of 43 cases (35 males and 8 females,mean age of 32 years) fungal infections of the lungs after renal transplantation from January 1999 to March 2002 were retrospectively analyzed.The mean time from post-operation to onset of the infection was 59 days. Results Among the 43 cases,16 were infected with candidiasis ,4 with candida Krusei ,2 with candida parapsilosis ,3 with mycormyccosis ,4 with aspergillosis ,1 with cryptococcosis neoformans and 2 with nocardiasis .14 cases out of 43 cases were coinfected with bacteria and CMV.The other 11 cases were negative for fungus-culturing test.23 cases were cured with fluconazole (100 mg,3 times per day for 10 days),17 with amphotericin B (50 mg,once a day for 10 days)and 3 died. Conclusions Fungal infection of the lungs is a severe complication after renal transplantation. Early diagnosis and timely treatment may achieve satisfactory effects.

Objective To construct the recombinant expression vector carrying human glucocorticoid receptor ?(hGR?) cDNA to provide experiences for cloning of large DNA fragments and offer experimental materials for studying the function and medchanism of hGR? by antisense nucleic acid technique. Methods hGR? cDNA was amplified from an expressional phage library of human white cells by L-PCR, and cloned into pGEM-Teasy vector. Subsequently, the hGR? cDNA fragment digested from the recombinant T vector was sub-cloned into retroviral vector pLXSN in sense and antisense orientations, respectively through an improved ligasing protocol. Results Restriction endonuclease analysis and sequencing showed that cloning and sub-cloning of hGR? were successful. Conclusion Retroviral recombinant vectors carrying sense-and antisense-hGR? cDNA were successfully constructed.

Objective To raise the vigilance for pregnancy complicated with acute abdominal diseases and to reduce the maternal mortality rate. Methods A retrospective study was done. Results (1) The maternal mortality of pregnancy complicated with acute abdominal diseases was 1 31/10 5 in the period of 1989～1993, which was significantly higher than that in the period of 1994～1998 (0 71/10 5). (2) The main cause of maternal deaths was misdiagnosis and the rate of misdiagnosis was 72 7%.(3) Among the acute abdominal diseases, pregnancy complicated with pancreatitis ranked the first that accounted for 54 6%. Conclusions For the purpose of reducing the mortality rate of pregnancy complicated with acute abdominal diseases, the correct diagnosis and proper treatment especially for those with acute pancreatitis are important.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of piperacillin/tazobactam in the treatment of moderate and severe pulmonary infection (MSPI). Methods The clinical data of 35 patients with MSPI following kidney transplantation were retrospectively analyzed.Results Thirty-five cases out of the 35 MSPI patients ( 97.14 % ) was rescued successfully. The overall clinical efficacy rate of piperacillin/tazobactam was 91.43 % (32/35). The bacterial clearance rate was 92.59 % . The incidence of adverse reaction was 8.57 % (3/35).Conclusions Intensive care and active measures should be given to the MSPI patients after kidney transplantation. The key points of successful treatment involve the in time application of effective antibiotics,the adjustment of immunosuppressant and the correction of hypoproteinemia.

Objective To observe the anti-aging effect of Shenqi Wangjiang preparation on the old rats by the research on measuring serum testosterone and estradiol. Methods Measurate serum testosterone and estradiol of the old rats by the means of RIA, and observe the prevention and cure effects of Shenqi Wangjiang preparation by comparing with other groups. Result Shenqi Wangjiang preparation can enhance the serum testosterone and estradiol of the old rats. Large and middle dose have obvious effect (P
