Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(11):1348-1350
PBL tutoring is quite different from the traditional tutoring and emphasizes the importance of student-centred instead of teacher-centred education. In PBL,teachers guide students to find answers to their own questions and facilitate students' learning process. Therefore, the tutor role is complex and has a fundamental change.

Objective:To evaluate curative impact of booster immunization with paternal lymphocytes on recurrent spontaneous abortors(RSA)with less reaction of primary patermal lymphocyte immunization. Methods:RSA patients with insufficient materno-fetal immuno-recognition were selected by flow cytometry of blocking antibody analysis and immunized with either induced paternal lymphocytes pretreated by IFN-? in vitro to those of anti-CD3-BE and anti-CD4-BE Ab lower than 0% or direct intradermal vaccination with their paternal lymphocytes without IFN-? pretreatment to those of anti-CD3-BE Ab beyond 0%.Reassessment of blocking antibodies was performed at the end of the second immnunization course. Results:Levels of blocking antibodies were significantly raised after the secondary booster immunization in RSA with insufficient materno-fetal immnuno-recognition whose blocking antibodies continuously decreased after being treated by the primary paternal lymphocyte immunization. No improvement of parameters was observed except the blocking effect in patients receiving secondary direct intradermal vaccination treatment. Conclusion:It is necessary for the RSA with insufficient materno-fetal immuno-recognition to experience secondary booster immunization preferably with paternal lymphocytes pretreated by IFN-? in vitro.

It is of great significance to provide the policy and legal support for the health of whole people by clarifying the various medical policies and laws through the knowledge management model. A knowledge base of medical poli-cies and laws was thus developed using the ontology technology based on the basic structure of medical policies and laws, which is consisted of a front-end management system and a back-end management system with excellent knowledge management functions, and can thus help the decision makers to work out their policies by making full use of its medial and legal knowledge.

Objective To investigate the effects of rehabilitation training on the microenvironment for axon regeneration and the possible mechanisms promoting axon regeneration, reconstruction and functional compensation after spinal cord injury (SCI) in beagle dogs. Methods Fifteen beagles were divided into a sham operated group,an SCI model group and a rehabilitation training group.Spinal cord hemi-transection injury was carried out. From the 8th day after SCI,the rehabilitation training group was given treadmill training. All dogs were sacrificed 60 days postinjury and samples were harvested.Chondroitin sulphate proteoglycan (CSPG) expression of astroglial cells around the injured area was observed using an immunofluorescence technique. The expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and CSPG protein in each group were semi-quantified by Western blot analysis.Axon regeneration was observed by silver staining.Motor function was assessed using modified Tarlov scores. Results In the rehabilitation training group, compared with the model group astroglial production of CSPG was reduced remarkably. Both CSPG expression and axon regeneration were enhanced and functional deficits improved. Conclusions Rehabilitation training can inhibit astroglial production of CSPG,improve the microenvironment for injured axon regeneration, and promote reconstruction and functional compensation after traumatic SCI.

Microbiology 2008;0(09):-
An extracellar fibrinolytic strain was isolated from fermented shrimp paste. In addition to general physiological and biochemical properties, the strain was identified by 16S rDNA sequence and systematic analysis. The results showed that 16S rDNA sequence of the strain had high similarity with AY601723 and AB195282, suggesting that the strain is a subspecies of Bacillus sp. It was named as Bacillus sp. nov. SK006 by CCTCC. The medium composition and fermentation conditions for fibrinolytic enzyme production were also optimized in the research.

Objective·To analyze clinical and pathological characteristics of gastric malignancies from a single center of Ruijin Hospital, and provide references for making healthy policy on gastric tumors. Methods·The data sources were from hospital in-patients database including demographic information, family history, clinicopathological information, and census registering information during 2005 to 2014.The demographic data and clinicopathological data were analyzed. Results·The total number was 3 315 cases with gastric malignancies (2 184 male patients and 1 131 female patients). It was about 2 times as high in males as in females. The patient age was between 18 to 98 years old (mean 59.71 years old).Based on pathologic diagnosis,3 122 cases (94.2%) were gastric adenocarcinoma, others were gastrointestinal stromal tumors (5.5%),neuroendocrine tumor (0.2%) and malignant lymphoma (0.1%).Out of patients with gastric carcinoma, about 4.46% of cases ran in families. Conclusion·Over 94% cases of gastric malignancies are gastric carcinomas.Specific risk profiles of gastric carcinomas include age, gender and family factors.

Objective To investigate the expression of p38 mitogen actirated protein kinase (p38MAPK) in renal fibrosis in diabetic mice. Methods Male homozygous C57 BL/6 mice were divided at random into control group intraperitoneally(i. p.) injected with citrate buffer and diabetes group received 5 consecutive daily intraperitoneal inserum glucose level exceeding 16.7 mmol/L. Mice were killed at 0,4weeks ,8weeks, 12weeks and 16weeks respectively after STZ injected. The kidney tissues were obtained from diabetic and control mice. Serum glucose, extracellular matrix, and 24 h urinary albumin excretion rate(UAE)and the serum creatinine(Scr) were measured. The kidney tissue was used for histological and morphometric studies of glomerular matrix expansion (PAS), and the expression of phosphorylated p38MAPK and TGFβ1 were measured by immunohisteehemical staining. p38MAPK and TGFβ1mRNA were analyzed by reverse transeriptase-PCR. Results The serum level of glucose in diabetic mice increased significantly. Scr and 24 h UAE, and glomerular matrix expansion in diabetic mice were obviously higher than that in control mice. Phosphorylated p38MAPK and TGFβ1 levels were obviously increased in the kidney of diabetic mice compared with those in control mice(P <0. 01) ;TGFβ1 expression was positively related to the expression of phosphorylated p38MAPK. Conclusion The overexpression of phosphorylated p38MAPK in kidney shoud play an important role in the development of renal fibrosis associated with diabetic nephropathy in mice.
