Objective To explore the effect and significance of systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS )score in predicting prognosis in acute craniocerebral trauma. Methods The clinical data of 620 patients were collected at admission from January 2003 to December 2007, GCS and SIRS score were calculated in 24 hours. The relation of the mortality rates and GCS score were analyzed in different SIRS score patients by controlling age. Results With SIRS score increasing, mortality rates increased as well, and pa-tients with SIRS (score≥2) mortality rates had significantly higher, and also in the same age and GCS score group.Mortality rotes were significant in staifistics (P<0.05). Conclusion SIRS score is significant inde-pendent predicting prognosis in acute craniocerebral trauma and in clinic.
6.Quantitative Detection of Transforming Growth Factor-?_1 and Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1 in Rat with Tubulointerstitial Fibrosis
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(08):-
Objective To observe the expressions of transforming growth factor-?1(TGF-?1) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1) mRNA in tubulointerstitial fibrosis( TIF ) rats, and explore the effects of TGF-?1 and PAI-1 on TIF and the interaction between TGF-?1 and PAI-1.Methods Sixty male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group (SOR group,n=30) and unilateral urethral obstruction group(UUO group,n=30).TIF model was established via UUO.At d 7,d 14,d 21 after operation,10 rats of every group were killed to obtain renal samples.Histological changes were observed in tubulointerstitium injury under microscope;mRNA and proteins of TGF-?1 and PAI-1 were detected by real-time PCR assays and Western blotting respectively at d 7,d 14,d 21 after experiment onset.SPSS 10.0 software was used to analyze data. Results 1.HE,Masson staining of renal tissues of all groups indicated that there were no fibrosis in SOR rats, there were vacuole degeneration in tubular epithelial cells and inflammatory cell infiltration in tubulointerstitial in UUO rats at d 7,fibrosis aggravated gradually and became severe fibrosis at d 21.2.The expression locations of TGF-?1 and PAI-1 were renal sites of fibrosis by immunohistochemical staining. The mRNA and proteins of TGF-?1 in rats from SOR groups were lower than those of UUO groups at d 7,d 14,d 21(P
7.Several Key Issues of Experimental Stem Cell Treatment on Chronic Kidney Disease
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(17):-
Chronic kidney disease(CKD) is a major global health issue that leads to end-stage renal disease which untreated. The use of stem cell therapy provides a new perspective in this area.Reviewing the experimental studies of stem cell therapy on CKD,many different, and even contradictory reports in this area were found. In this paper, the recent reports, and present several key issues of experimental stem cell treatment on CKD were reviewed, including the source of stem cell, the sort of experimental animal, the time of treatment and other experimental details.Hoping these may lead more understanding in this area.
