Objective:To explore the value and significance of transcranial color-coded duplex (TCCD) parameters, serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), neuron-specific enolase (NSE) levels in the evaluation of the condition of cerebral infarction. Methods:One hundred and ten patients with cerebral infarction in Anhui Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group General Hosptial were selected from April 2018 to February 2020, and TCCD examination was performed after admission. Blood samples were taken to determine the levels of serum IGF-1 and NSE, and corresponding treatment was given. The TCCD parameters and serum IGF-1 and NSE levels were compared in patients with different disease severity, plaque nature and different prognosis after 3 months′ follow-up. The correlation between the above indicators and the condition and plaque nature and the predictive value of the prognosis of patients with cerebral infarction were analyzed. Results:The level of IGF-1 were negatively correlated with the severity of disease ( r=- 0.650) and the nature of plaques ( r=- 0.711); and the level of NSE and resistance index (RI), pulsatility index (PI) were positively correlated with the severity of the disease ( r=0.609, 0.613, 0.645) and the nature of plaques ( r=0.589, 0.579, 0.608), and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). After 3 months′ follow-up, the level of IGF-1 in the favourable prognosispatients was higher than that in the unfavourable prognosis patients, the levels of NSE, RI and PI in the favourable prognosis patients were lower than those in the unfavourable prognosis patients: (9.01 ± 2.64) μg/L vs. (25.13 ± 3.82) μg/L, 1.05 ± 0.19 vs. 1.32 ± 0.22, 0.69 ± 0.06 vs. 0.89 ± 0.07, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The area under the curve (AUC) of RI, PI, IGF-1 and NSE in predicting the prognosis of cerebral infarction was less than that of combined diagnosis. Conclusions:The early use of TCCD parameters, serum IGF-1 and NSE combined detection can provide evidence-based guidance for evaluating the condition and prognosis of cerebral infarction.

BACKGROUND: Amniotic fluid cells have been widely used in antenatal diagnosis for gene mutation-related diseases. However, there are few reports concerning isolation, culture, surface character identification, differentiation and application perspective of fetal mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from amniotic fluid.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the differentiation of fetal mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from second-trimester amniotic fluid into osteoblasts in vitro.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The cytological/n v/tro study was conducted at the Experimental Center of Xinhua Hospital from August 2005 to May 2006.MATERIALS: Ten amniotic fluid samples were obtained from pregnant women (18-22 weeks after conception) or aborted women,The informed consents were obtained from pregnant women.METHODS: Fetal MSCs were separated mechanically from amniocyte culture system and expanded in medium in vitro. At passage 3, fetal MSCs were induced in 100 nmol/L dexamethasone, 10 mmol/L β-glycerophosphoric acid and 50 mg/L vitamin C for 14 days.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Collagen Ⅰ and alkaline phosphatase expression was detected by immunohistochemistry.Collagen Ⅰ protein expression was determined by Western Blot analysis. Calcium tuberoses were measured by Von Kossa staining. The cytoskeletal protein was detected by laser confocal microscopy.RESULTS: The isolated fetal MSCs were uniformly positive for CD44 and HLA-ABC, negative for CD34, CD45 and HLA-DR. After being induced with osteogenic medium for 14 days, 91% cells were positive for alkaline phosphatase, and 87% cells for collagen Ⅰ.Cells expressed collagen Ⅰ protein. Number of calcium tuberoses was increased and became big over time. Cytoplasm microfilament presented green fluorescence and the microfilament surrounding cells formed dense bundle.CONCLUSION: Fetal MSCs derived from amniotic fluid could be induced into osteeblasta and displayed a typical osteoblastic morphology and biological characteristic.

Tumor-associated macrophage (TAM) is a macrophage infiltrating around tumor cells, which can be divided into two categories including classical activated macrophages (M1) and alternately activated macrophages (M2). On the whole, it shows the phenotype of M2 macrophages that promote immune escape of tumor cells. With the in-depth study of the immune function of the body, the studies have indicated that TAM is highly malleable and can be transformed into each other with the change of tumor microenvironment. TAM plays a very important role in tumor occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis, and its classification and quantity may also be used as an index to judge the prognosis of tumors. Therefore, TAM is a feasible potential target for the treatment of cancer. This paper reviews the role of TAM in tumorigenesis and development.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To summerize the clinical experience of 23 cases of carotid cavernous fistula(CCF) and discuss the treatment strategy. Methods Retrospectively analyzed 23 patients(11 males and 12 females) of CCF,including 14 patients with Barrow type A,1 with type B,1 with type C and 7 with type D. Results Vascular approach for embolization was undertaken in 20 cases by transarterial access and 2 via venous route while 1 case was given up. Among them,9 cases obtained complete occlusion by simple balloon embolization and 5 were treated by direct occlusion of internal carotid artery. Another 5 cases used NBCA glue for the occlusion,1 case was embolized by gelatin-sponge particulates combined with compression of carotid artery,2 cases were treated by coil embolization of cavernous sinus and 1 case was only managed by carotid compression maneuver. We achieved satisfactory clinical results with 21 patients cured and 2 patients improved. Conclusion Complexity and refractory are the characteristic of CCF,and endovascular treatment should be the major choice of treatment. (J Intervent Radiol,2006,15: 323-326)
