Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(7):830-832
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating cancer-related fatigue (CRF) due to spleen-kidney deficiency.Method Sixty eligible subjects with CRF due to spleen-kidney deficiency were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by nutritional support and symptomatic management, while the treatment group was treated with acupuncture in addition to the intervention given to the control group. The Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS), Piper Fatigue Scale (PFS), and peripheral blood test were observed before and after treatment.Result The KPS scores were significantly changed after treatment in both groups (P<0.05). The PFS item scores (behavior, affect, sensory, and cognition) were significantly changed after intervention in the treatment group (P<0.05). The behavior score in the control group was significantly changed after treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the PFS item scores between the two groups (P<0.05). There were significant differences in comparing the lymphocyte levels between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture is an effective method in treating CRF due to spleen-kidney deficiency, and it can up-regulate the peripheral blood cells and strengthen the immunity.

3.Shifts of total bacterial and lactobacilli community in stomach of sucking and weaned piglets
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(01):-
Objective: To study bacterial and lactobacilli communities in stomach of neonatal piglets from 7 to 35(two weeks after weaning) days of age. Methods: The semi-quantitative Dilution-PCR,PCR-DGGE and sequencing were used to analyze the shifts of stomach total bacterial and lactobacilli community. Results: Stomach pH value was around 3.0 before weaning and increased apparently after weaning.Dilution-PCR showed that bacterial concentration in stomach of piglet was very low before weaning and increased significantly after weaning. The DGGE profiles from total bacteria in stomach showed that the bands of samples before weaning were very simple and the predominant band belonged to high GC bacterium. After weaning, some new predominant bands appeared and the previous high GC bacteria disappeared simultaneously.Sequence analysis indicated that these new bands were Escherichia fergusonii,Escherichia coli,Streptococcus gordonii and Streptococcus suis, all of which were potential pathogens for piglets. The similarity of DGGE profiles from stomach lactobacilli showed weaning stress had no obvious effect on lactobacilli community. Conclusion: Weaning stress could cause stomach pH increase apparently and induce potential pathogens proliferation in stomach of piglets.

5.Pondering acupuncture treatment on anxiety disorders
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2004;2(4):252-4
Review of papers about acupuncture treatment on anxiety disorders since 1996 showed that many papers were mainly concerned with the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsession with electroacupuncture therapy. Baihui, Yintang, Shenmen, Dazhui, Taiyang, etc, were the most commonly involved acupoints. This paper argues that more emphasis should be transferred from heart head, the DU meridian and acupoints nearby in terms of the position of treatment, on scalp acupuncture and acupoint injection in terms of the methods of treatment, on the combination of diagnosis by western medicine and syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine in terms of treating strategy. As to the research method, evidence-based medicine, and multicenter, large sample randomized controlled trial study on anxiety disorders should be made.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(02):-
OBJECTIVE To find out the imipenem-resistan metallo-?-lactamase in P.aeruginosa to provide the proof of treatment for clinic.METHODS A multi-disk was used to detect the metallo-?-lactamase of P.aeruginosa and the K-B disk method was used for monitoring of the antibiotic-resistance to 15 antibiotics.RESULTS Fifteen strains producing metallo-?-lactamase were isolated from 93 imipenem-resistant P.aeruginosa strains. The positive rate with metallo-?-lactamase was 16.1%(15/93).The susceptibility tests showed the lower resistance was to cefoperazone sulbactam(Sulperazone),amikacin and piperacillinl tazobactam(Tazocin).their resistance rate respectively was 16.8%,24.8% and 26.6%.The resistance rate to ciprofloxacin and ceftazidime was 43.7% and 33.6%.The resistance rate over 90.0% was to ampicillin,ampicilillin/sulbactam,cefazolin,cefpodoxime,cefuroxime and so on.CONCLUSIONS P.aeruginosa with imipenem-resistance shows seriou multidrug-resistance.The metallo-?-lactamase is the main reason for P.aeruginosa resistance to imipenem and cephalosporins. The doctors should choose antibiotics reasonably according to the susceptibility test when taking effective treatment to P.aeruginosa infection.

Chinese Journal of Hypertension 2007;0(01):-
Background Isoliensinine(IL) is a kind monomer alkaloid of double benzyl group quinoline separated from Plumula nelumbinis, which has been speculated to have antiarrhythmic effect,Ca~(2+) and?1-receptor blockade, and reversal the left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH).It has been reported the activity of Sarco/Endoplasmic reticulum Ca~(2+)-ATP_(ase)(SERCA) in essential hypertention(EH)/LVH patients was lower than that of healthy people. Objective To investigate the effects of Isoliensinine on left ventricular hypertrophy and activity of SERCA in 2 kidney 1 clamp(2K1C) hypertensive rats. Methods 2K1C hypertensive rats were randomly received Isoliensinine (RHR-IL,5 mg/kg per day p.o,n=16) or placebo.Blood pressure, left ventricle mass index(LVMI) and the activity of myocardial SERCA were measured after 10 weeks treatment.Six untreated SD rats were served as control. Results Isoliensinine decreased BP and LV/BM ratio(IL:136.4?14.6 vs control:189.8?4.4 mm Hg,P

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(04):-
The inhibitory effects of cicletanine (Cic) and bepridil (Bep) on norepinephrine (NE)-and KCl-induced contractions were studied in isolated thoracic aorta rings of male Sprague-Dowley rats. It was found that Cic had a more potent effect on NE-induced contraction than on KCHnduced contraction. In. contrast, Bep had a more potent action on KCHnduced contraction. When the aorta rings were incubated with Cic and Bep, a potentialized inhibitory effect was observed on KCh but not NE-induced contractions. These effects were independent of the presence of endothelium. The results suggest that Cic and Bep have different action sites and properties on vascular smooth muscles.
