Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(7):830-832
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating cancer-related fatigue (CRF) due to spleen-kidney deficiency.Method Sixty eligible subjects with CRF due to spleen-kidney deficiency were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by nutritional support and symptomatic management, while the treatment group was treated with acupuncture in addition to the intervention given to the control group. The Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS), Piper Fatigue Scale (PFS), and peripheral blood test were observed before and after treatment.Result The KPS scores were significantly changed after treatment in both groups (P<0.05). The PFS item scores (behavior, affect, sensory, and cognition) were significantly changed after intervention in the treatment group (P<0.05). The behavior score in the control group was significantly changed after treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the PFS item scores between the two groups (P<0.05). There were significant differences in comparing the lymphocyte levels between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture is an effective method in treating CRF due to spleen-kidney deficiency, and it can up-regulate the peripheral blood cells and strengthen the immunity.
3.Pondering acupuncture treatment on anxiety disorders
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2004;2(4):252-4
Review of papers about acupuncture treatment on anxiety disorders since 1996 showed that many papers were mainly concerned with the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsession with electroacupuncture therapy. Baihui, Yintang, Shenmen, Dazhui, Taiyang, etc, were the most commonly involved acupoints. This paper argues that more emphasis should be transferred from heart head, the DU meridian and acupoints nearby in terms of the position of treatment, on scalp acupuncture and acupoint injection in terms of the methods of treatment, on the combination of diagnosis by western medicine and syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine in terms of treating strategy. As to the research method, evidence-based medicine, and multicenter, large sample randomized controlled trial study on anxiety disorders should be made.

5.Shifts of total bacterial and lactobacilli community in stomach of sucking and weaned piglets
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(01):-
Objective: To study bacterial and lactobacilli communities in stomach of neonatal piglets from 7 to 35(two weeks after weaning) days of age. Methods: The semi-quantitative Dilution-PCR,PCR-DGGE and sequencing were used to analyze the shifts of stomach total bacterial and lactobacilli community. Results: Stomach pH value was around 3.0 before weaning and increased apparently after weaning.Dilution-PCR showed that bacterial concentration in stomach of piglet was very low before weaning and increased significantly after weaning. The DGGE profiles from total bacteria in stomach showed that the bands of samples before weaning were very simple and the predominant band belonged to high GC bacterium. After weaning, some new predominant bands appeared and the previous high GC bacteria disappeared simultaneously.Sequence analysis indicated that these new bands were Escherichia fergusonii,Escherichia coli,Streptococcus gordonii and Streptococcus suis, all of which were potential pathogens for piglets. The similarity of DGGE profiles from stomach lactobacilli showed weaning stress had no obvious effect on lactobacilli community. Conclusion: Weaning stress could cause stomach pH increase apparently and induce potential pathogens proliferation in stomach of piglets.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficiency and side effect of concurrent radiotherapy and weekly chemotherapy with low-dose eisplatin(DDP) and 5-fluorouracil(5-FU) for advanced cervical canc-er. Methods 73 patients with advanced cervical cancer were randomized into two groups: 37 cases in the chemo-radiotherapy group received radiotherapy combined with DDP 40 mg and 5-FU 500 mg weekly for 6-7 weeks. 36 cases in the only radiotherapy group received radiotherapy alone. Radiotherapy was given with conven-tional fraction, the total tumor dose was 50 Gy. Results The rate of overall response and three-year survival and local recurrenc and distant metastasis for the chemo-radiotherapy group and the only radiotherapy group were 97.30%, 89. 19%, 8. 11% and 10. 81%, and those for the only radiotherapy group were 77.78%,66. 67% ,30.56% and 33.33%. The difference of the four groups was statistically significant ( P <0. 05). The rate of bone marrow inhibition and reaction of digestive tract in chemo-radiotherapy group were higher than those in simple radiotherapy group, but most reactions were grade 1 and grade 2, without statistically significant dife-renee between two groups. Conclusion Concurrent radiotherapy and weekly chemotherapy with low-dose cis-platin and 5-fluorouracil for advanced cervical cancer can significantly improve local control rate and survival rate, and have slight side effects.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2008;15(6):981-982
Objective This article intends to study the varieties of the prenancy associated with cardiac dis-ease, how to treat with the perinataI period and the pregnancy outcome. Methods (1)Sum up 112 sufferers' clinical data of the pregnancy associated with cardiac disease in this hospital from 1998 to 2007. (2)Analysc the varieties of the pregnancy associated with cardiac disease according to the sufferers' pathogeny. (3)Divided into two groups ac-cording to the state of an illness,80 cases are the heart function Ⅰ~Ⅱ (group A) ,32 cases are heart function Ⅲ~Ⅳ (group B) ,and contrast the two group sufferers' pregnancy outcome. Results (1)The varieties of the pregnancy associated with cardiac disease are mainly the congenital heart disease and the incompetency heart valve. (2)The rate of the uterine-incision delivered sufferers in group B is 93.8 % ,while the other one of the uterine-incision deliveredsufferers in group A is 70.0%. Compared A to B, the difference is obvious( P < 0.01 ). (3)No pregnant women is found dead in group A. 2 pregnant women were dead in group B, who was a sufferer with high blood-preasure heart-disease during pregnancy and eclampsia. (4)The dead rate of the premature delivery, neonatal asphyxia and the peri-natal in group B is 43.8% ,25.0% and 12.5%. It is obviously higher than that in group A(12.5% ,2.5% ,0).Compared A to B, the difference is obvious( P < 0.01 ). Conclusion The pregnancy associated with cardiac disease is the cause which leads to the death of the pregnant women and the perinatal babies. The canonical prenatal diagnosis, termination of pregnancy in time and the cooperation with relative sciences can improve the pregnancy outcome.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(4):375-377
Objective To study the effect of glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) on mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) activity in small intestinal epithelia in mice after radiation injury and its relation with the change of small intestinal epithelial proliferation. Methods Mice were given a single dose of 8 Gy of total body 60Co gamma irradiation and then divided into GLP-2 and control groups. The activity of MAPK and proliferation rate in small intestinal epithelia were measured. Results The activity of MAPK in small intestinal epithelia was higher in GLP-2-treated mice than in irradiated mice, and the proliferation rate in small intestinal epithelia significantly increased in GLP-2-treated mice. These two indices were of significantly positive correlated. Conclusion GLP-2 can promote small intestinal epithelial proliferation in irradiated mice, and this may be related to activation of MAPK in small intestinal epithelia.
