1.Pondering acupuncture treatment on anxiety disorders
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2004;2(4):252-4
Review of papers about acupuncture treatment on anxiety disorders since 1996 showed that many papers were mainly concerned with the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsession with electroacupuncture therapy. Baihui, Yintang, Shenmen, Dazhui, Taiyang, etc, were the most commonly involved acupoints. This paper argues that more emphasis should be transferred from heart head, the DU meridian and acupoints nearby in terms of the position of treatment, on scalp acupuncture and acupoint injection in terms of the methods of treatment, on the combination of diagnosis by western medicine and syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine in terms of treating strategy. As to the research method, evidence-based medicine, and multicenter, large sample randomized controlled trial study on anxiety disorders should be made.

3.Clinical Study on Acupuncture for Cancer-related Fatigue Due to Spleen-kidney Deficiency
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(7):830-832
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating cancer-related fatigue (CRF) due to spleen-kidney deficiency.Method Sixty eligible subjects with CRF due to spleen-kidney deficiency were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by nutritional support and symptomatic management, while the treatment group was treated with acupuncture in addition to the intervention given to the control group. The Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS), Piper Fatigue Scale (PFS), and peripheral blood test were observed before and after treatment.Result The KPS scores were significantly changed after treatment in both groups (P<0.05). The PFS item scores (behavior, affect, sensory, and cognition) were significantly changed after intervention in the treatment group (P<0.05). The behavior score in the control group was significantly changed after treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the PFS item scores between the two groups (P<0.05). There were significant differences in comparing the lymphocyte levels between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture is an effective method in treating CRF due to spleen-kidney deficiency, and it can up-regulate the peripheral blood cells and strengthen the immunity.
4.Study on risk factors of plasma hyperosmolality in severe stroke
Chinese Journal of Neurology 2005;0(11):-
100 g/d), hypernatremia and hyperglycemia were the three main risk factors resulting in plasma hyperosmolality. The 4-week survival rate of hyperosmolality group(47.1%) was significantly lower than that of non-hyperosmolality group(78.3%, P
5.Shifts of total bacterial and lactobacilli community in stomach of sucking and weaned piglets
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(01):-
Objective: To study bacterial and lactobacilli communities in stomach of neonatal piglets from 7 to 35(two weeks after weaning) days of age. Methods: The semi-quantitative Dilution-PCR,PCR-DGGE and sequencing were used to analyze the shifts of stomach total bacterial and lactobacilli community. Results: Stomach pH value was around 3.0 before weaning and increased apparently after weaning.Dilution-PCR showed that bacterial concentration in stomach of piglet was very low before weaning and increased significantly after weaning. The DGGE profiles from total bacteria in stomach showed that the bands of samples before weaning were very simple and the predominant band belonged to high GC bacterium. After weaning, some new predominant bands appeared and the previous high GC bacteria disappeared simultaneously.Sequence analysis indicated that these new bands were Escherichia fergusonii,Escherichia coli,Streptococcus gordonii and Streptococcus suis, all of which were potential pathogens for piglets. The similarity of DGGE profiles from stomach lactobacilli showed weaning stress had no obvious effect on lactobacilli community. Conclusion: Weaning stress could cause stomach pH increase apparently and induce potential pathogens proliferation in stomach of piglets.
6.Studies on quality standard of Sedum aizoon L
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(11):-
Objective: To establish the quatity standard of Sedum aizoon L..Methods: The micro-method and TLC were used for qualitative identification, and a HPLC analysis was applied for quantitative determination of quercetin. Results: A qualitative analysis for Sedum aizoon L.was set up,a good linear relationship was obtained over the range of 1.216-2.16?g/ml and regression equation was Y=40386X-14138(r=0.9991).The average recovery rate was 102.08%(RSD=0.92%).Conclusion: The method is simple, accurate and suitable for quality control of Sedum aizoon L.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2006;4(6):556-9
Radix Glycyrrhizae is a commonly used herbal drug for traditional Chinese medicine in China, and it is also an important material for drug, food, chemical industry, and dye industry. Furthermore, in Northwest China, Radix Glycyrrhizae acts as a key plant for preventing desertification, which currently is the most serious environmental problem in China. This report concentrated on discussing the great potential value of Glycyrrhiza on ecosystem, introducing the principles of protection and sustainable utilization of Glycyrrhiza resource, offering the suitable methods of utilization, and suggesting how to carry out the research on the substitute drugs. To protect the ecosystem and herbal resource of Radix Glycyrrhizae, we should use this herb in a more reasonable way.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2017;33(1):180-183
Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma is an uncommon malignant tumor, and its incidence has been increasing in the recent 30 years. Since patients have no specific clinical manifestations in early stage, the diagnosis of this disease is often very difficult, with a low rate of radical resection in late stage and poor prognosis. Therefore,as for patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, early screening and diag-nosis is of vital importance.Imaging examination is an important method for the diagnosis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and when com-bined with laboratory markers and pathological examination,it can increase diagnostic rate and reduce the rate of missed diagnosis. It is im-portant in clinical practice to select reasonable methods based on the patient′s actual condition.
10.Ischemic preconditioning in immature rabbit hearts
Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1995;0(02):-
Objective Protection afforded by ischemic preconditioning (IPC) against myocardial ischemia in adult heart has been investigated. This study was designed to examine the effects of IPC on myocardial tolerance to ischemia in immature hearts. Methods The aorta of isolated immature rabbit heart (14-21d old) was connected to Langendorff preparation within 30 s after excision. The hearts were perfused with oxygenated (95%O 2:5%CO 2) Krebs-Henseleit buffer(KHB) at 60 cmH 2O. 16 immature rabbit hearts were equally divided into 2 groups: control group and IPC group. In IPC group the hearts were first subjected to IPC stimulus consisting of 5 min global ischemia followed by 10 min reperfusion. The hearts in both groups were made globally ischemic for 30 min(no perfusion) followed by 40 min reperfusion. At the end of 40 min reperfusion the hearts were harvested for ATP analysis. The coronary flow(C), HR, left ventricle developed pressure(LVDP) and ?dp/dt were monitored and recorded before ischemia and at 5,10,20,30 and 40 min of reperfusion, and calculated as % of pre-ischemia levels. Coronary flow was collected before and after reperfusion for CK-MB determination. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the four parameters between the two groups. Arrhythmia scores were also comparable betweeen the two groups. The CK-MB leakage in IPC group was increased but not significantly different from that in control group. The ATP levels of myocardium at the end of reperfusion was significantly lower than that in the control group [(123.85?17.42)?g/g versus (167.21?16.53)?g/g].Conclusions IPC can not protect immature rabbit hearts from ischemia-reperfusion injury. On the contrary it may lead to myocardial injury due to more energy consumption.
