Axiong Powder is a powdered drug applied by Miao people for the treatment and prevention of URI ( upper respiratory infection) , hemorrhoid, carbuncles and boils. Preliminary analysis revealed it to contain some ten kinds of herbs. By clinical analysis, it was shown that the Powder yields rather good therapeutic results on cold, tonsillitis, pyogenic tonsillitis, contusion, sprain. Bacteria strainisolated clinically can be inhibited by Axiong water decoction.

Objective To explore the value of automatic photography in the observation of results of Schistosoma japoni?cum miracidium hatching experiments. Methods Some fresh S. japonicum eggs were added into cow feces, and the samples of feces were divided into a low infested experimental group and a high infested group(40 samples each group). In addition, there was a negative control group with 40 samples of cow feces without S. japonicum eggs. The conventional nylon bag S. japonicum miracidium hatching experiments were performed. The process was observed with the method of flashlight and magnifying glass combined with automatic video(automatic photography method),and,at the same time, with the naked eye observation meth?od. The results were compared. Results In the low infested group, the miracidium positive detection rates were 57.5% and 85.0%by the naked eye observation method and automatic photography method,respectively(χ2=11.723,P<0.05). In the high infested group, the positive detection rates were 97.5%and 100%by the naked eye observation method and automatic pho?tography method,respectively(χ2= 1.253,P > 0.05). In the two infested groups, the average positive detection rates were 77.5% and 92.5% by the naked eye observation method and automatic photography method,respectively(χ2 = 6.894,P <0.05). Conclusion The automatic photography can effectively improve the positive detection rate in the S. japonicum miracidi?um hatching experiments.

Objective To compare the consistency and accuracy of determination of peripheral blood lymphocyte(PBL)interleukin-2(IL-2)with ELISA and evaluation of the expression of PBL IL-2 mRNA with real time PCR(RT-PCR).Methods In 20 kidney recipients, the PBL IL-2 level was determined with ELISA and the mRNA expression in PBL IL-2 was evaluated by real time fluorescence quantitative PCR(RT-FQ-PCR)before operation and C0/C2 time on the 7th day after operation. The same detection and evaluation were also done in 15 chronic allograft nephropathy(CAN)patients and 5 non CAN patients. Results IL-2 and IL-2 mRNA expression showed positive correlation before operation and 1 year later after operation,R2=0.58 and 0.4 respectively, both P0.05.On the 7th day after operation,IL-2 and the inhibition rate of IL-2 mRNA expression were(16.31?9.59)% and(69.92?7.10)%,respectively.A positive correlation existed between C2 IL-2 concentration and the inhibition rate of IL-2 mRNA expression,R2=0.56,P0.05.Also,IL-2 inhibition and PBL IL-2 mRNA inhibition showed no linear correlation. Conclusions The technique of determining PBL IL-2 by ELISA can be used for evaluating immunity status and immunosuppressive tolerance in patients with renal transplantation before the operation and at stable stage after operation. However,it should not be used for assessing perioperative immunity status and evaluating effect of cyclosporine.

Objective Analysis of the complete genome sequence about the newly emerged pandemic norovirus GⅡ.4 genotype, to understand its variation characteristics. Methods 264 patients were collected with diarrhea. The RNA was extracted from 264 fe-cal specimens and cDNA was synthetized. The positive samples were amplified by PCR,the amplified fragments were sequenced. The complete genome sequences of the norovirus was sequenced and analyzed. Results A new norovirus variant strain of Jingzhou GⅡ.4,a pleiston of Sydney GⅡ.4 was isolated.A large variation was found in the new variant subtype, which was mutated inclu-ding in the hypervariable P2 domain of the major capsid protein VP1.Conclusion The result demonstrates the variant strain of Sydney GⅡ.4 was spread to China.VP1 of norovirus GⅡ.4 is evolving rapidly. The spread and evolution situation of the norovirus GⅡ.4 need to be closely monitored in China for the development of effective vaccines and therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.

Objective To study the mental experience of nurses from outpatient department in dealing with patient's complaints.Method Using convenient sampling method,15 nurses from 5 sections of the outpatient department were chosen as interviewees, with the interviews on their mental experience in handling the complaints from outpatients.Result The issues from the interviews included:part of the patients were unable to complain accurately, part of the nurses were ineffective and therefore inactive in handling the complaints;some of the nurses were poor at employing communication skills and some others were incapable of specifying the complaints or asking for assistance. Conclusions Complaint handling is part of the nurses' job in the outpatient service. The nurses should take the initiative to improve their ability in complaint handling,so as to handle the complaints in a positive and effective way and improve patient's satisfaction.

Abstract: Objective To observe the expression of peripheral blood stimulating molecules CD80 and CD86 in children with severe hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD), and to analyze the relationship between them and the therapeutic effects of children. Methods The clinical data of 252 children with severe HFMD treated in Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2017 to March 2021 were collected retrospectively. All children were treated with standardized treatment and the therapeutic effects was evaluated. The baseline data and laboratory test results of children were recorded, and the positive rates of CD80 and CD86 cells in peripheral blood were detected by flow cytometry. Logistic regression was used to analyze the relationship between the above indexes and the therapeutic effects of children. The receiver operating curve (ROC) was drawn to evaluate the value of the above indicators in predicting the therapeutic effects of children. Results After standardized treatment, 48 children were ineffective, and 204 children were effective; the levels of serum CD80 [(2.28±0.84)% vs (2.12±0.33 )%] and CD86 [(3.35±0.96)% vs (2.23±0.41)%] in children were significantly lower than those at admission (t=2.851, 16.991; P<0.05). The levels of blood lactic acid, serum C-reactive protein (CRP), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), CD80 and CD86 at admission in the ineffective group were significantly higher than those of the effective group (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the overexpression of serum CRP (OR=10.929), MMP-9 (OR=1.926), CD80 (OR=3.943) and CD86 (OR=1.947) at admission might be the risk factors of ineffective (all P<0.05). The results of the goodness of fit test for the model showed that, the goodness of fit was high (χ2=6.245, P=0.620); the model collinearity results showed that the variance inflation factors (VIF) values of each variable were <2, and there was no collinearity among the main indicators; the results of the individual independence test for the model showed that Durbin-Watson statistics (D-W)=0.279 and there was poor mutual independence among main indicators. ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC) of serum CD80 at admission in predicting the therapeutic effects of children was 0.762, the cut-off value was 2.390%, and the specificity, sensitivity and Youden index were 0.598, 0792 and 0.390 respectively; the AUC predicted by CD86 was 0.739, the cut-off value was 3.280%, and the specificity, sensitivity and Youden index were 0.510, 0.896 and 0.406 respectively; the AUC by combined prediction was 0.823, and the specificity, sensitivity and Youden index were 0.696, 0.833 and 0.529 respectively. Conclusions Peripheral blood stimulating molecules CD80 and CD86 are involved in the progression of HFMD. Their overexpression may suggest a high risk of treatment ineffectiveness in children with severe HFMD. Early dynamic monitoring of the expression of serum CD80 and CD86 has a certain predictive value for the therapeutic effect of children.
