Objective To investigate the effects of captopril on reperfusion arrhythmias in atherosclerotic rabbits. Methods A total of 32 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into the control group, cholesterol food group(CF group) and captopril plus cholesterol food group(Cap group). The levels of endothelin(ET),malonaldehyde(MDA) and the content of nitric oxide(NO) were measured in different stage. The duration of ventricular tachycardia and the incidence of ventricular premature beats in 30 minutes after reperfusion were detected. Results The levels of ET and MDA were significantly decreased and the content of NO were significantly increased in the Cap group compared with that of the CF group. The average duration of ventricular tachycardia and the incidence of ventricular premature beats in 30 minutes after reperfusion were significantly reduced in the Cap group compared with the CF group. Conclusion The incidence of arrhythmias induced by the ischemia reperfusion injury may be decreased with the treatment of captopril in the atherosclerotic rabbits.

AIM: To develop a RP-HPLC method of determining ginsenoside Rg1 and ginsenoside Re in Wu-(shenqi) Oral Liquid(Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng,Radix Astragali,Fructus Ligustri Lucidi,etc.). METHODS: Hypersil-C_(18) column was used at 30 ℃.The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water(103∶400) with 0.05% H_3PO_4.The detection wavelength was set at 203 nm.The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. RESULTS: The linear ranges for ginsenoside Rg1 and ginsenoside Re were 0.188-6.016 ?g(r=0.999 9) and 0.197-6.323 ?g(r=(0.999)),respectively.Its average recoveries were 99.53% with RSD of 0.96% and 99.13% with RSD of 0.62%,respectively. CONCLUSION: This method is simple, accurate, reproducible, and can be used for the determination of ginsenoside Rg1 and ginsenoside Re in Wushenqi Oral Liquid.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(07):-
Objective To analyze the characteristics of cardiovascular two-dimensional (2-D) and Color Doppler echocardiography for patients with Marfan's syndrome. Method 23 cases of Marfan's syndrome were examined by transthoracic 2-D and Color Doppler echocardiography. Results Aneurysms of the ascending aorta and aortic sinusal were found in all of these cases. Aortic regurgitation and left ventricular enlargement coexisted with all of these cases. Fourteen cases complicated with type A and three with type B aortic dissection. Conclusions 2-D and Color Doppler echocardiography is a rapid non-invasive,reproducible, comprehensive medical imaging technique and can be regarded as an initial imaging model to screen and diagnosis of Marfan's syndrome.

Objective To investigate the operative procedure for complicated patent ductus arteriosus. Methods 87 cases of complicated patent ductus arteriosus who received operation from Oct 1993 to Aug 2001 were studied retrospectively. Results Operations supported by cardiopulmonary bypass for closure of complicated patent ductus arteriosus and other concomitant cardiothoracic procedures were performed on the all patients at the same time. There were 5 cases of deaths, with dead rate of 5 7%, which mainly caused by heart failure. 82 survivals were followed up at mean period of 3 years and 7 months, and no operative complications occurred. Conclusions Closure for complicated patent ductus arteriosus with correction of concomitant cardiothoracic malformation supported by cardiopulmonary bypasss is a effective treatment of complicated patent ductus arteriosus.

Objective Malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus is a special disease in newbo-rns.It is important of early diagnosis to avoid the risk of intestinal infarct and necrosis. We intended to ex-plore the value of early ultrasonographic diagnosis in malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus, comparing with upper gastrointestinal imaging. Methods Ultrasonographic features and upper gastrointestinal imaging of 48surgically confirmed malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus between January 2011and December 2014were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients were comfirmed by operaion. The rotational degree of midgut volvulus were 90to 720°.In 43of 48patients (89.58%)of malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus were diagnosed by ultrasonography. The typical ultrasonographic features were called “whirlpool sign”,which was the superior mesenteric vein and the mesentery around the superior mesenteric artery. In 35 of 48(72.92%)patients with malrotation were confirmed by the upper gastrointestinal imaging. The typical sign of the upper gastrointestinal imaging was the helical form of the distal duodenum and proximal jejunum located at middle abdomen.Compared with upper gastrointestinal radiographic examination, ultrasonographic examination had more sensitivity in diagnosis of malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus (P﹤0.05). Conclusion Ultrasonographic examination have more sensitivity in diagnosis.Noninvasiveness, absence of X-rays,and low costs could make ultrasonographic examination a useful screening test in patients with sus-pected malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus.“Whirlpool sign”could be considered a specific ultra-sonographic sign in diagnosis of midgut volvulus, which could provide reference for the clinical treatment of malrotation of intestine with midgut volvulus.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2009;34(7):651-654
Objective To evaluate the effect of bronchoscopic argon plasma coagulation thera-py on bronchial carcinoma. Methods Thirty-one bronchial carcinoma patients were diagnosed by bronchoscope and pathological tests, with or without atelectasis or obstructive pneumonia on chest X-ray or chest CT. Argon plasma coagulation therapy was performed through bronchoscope. The location of the airway lesions, the degree of obstruction, dyspnea index, and complications were evaluated. Results The patients with bronchial carcinoma were treated 1~4 times by bronchoscopic argon plas-ma coagulation therapy. Full effectiveness was achieved in 15 patients (48.4 %), partial in 12 (38.7%), and mild in the other 4 ( 12.9 % ). The overall effective rate was 100 %. Conclu-sion Bronchoscopic argon plasma coagulation therapy for bronchial carcinoma can remarkably reduce the tumor size, relieve clinical symptoms, and alleviate the obstruction caused by bronchial neoplasm. Brouchoscopic argon plasma coagulation therapy is an effective and safe method for patients with bron-chial carcinoma.

Objective To study a novel method for the high-dose-rate brachytherapy (HDR) CT image to the intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) CT image deformable image registration and dose accumulation. Methods The applicator in the HDR CT image is first segmented and removed, then a deflation step is performed on the applicator-free HDR CT image by solving the Navier-Stokes equation.Demons algorithm is utilized to register the deflated HDR CT image to the IMRT CT image, along with the HDR dose. The deformed HDR dose is then added on the IMRT dose and yield the final accumulated dose. Results The HDR CT image and IMRT CT image,as well as the corresponding dose distribution, from five cervical cancer patients are used for evaluation of the proposed algorithm, the results show that the proposed method can effectively get rid of the influence of the applicator and produce an accurate accumulated dose. Conclusions Dose accumulation and supervision is an important step in adaptive radiotherapy for accurate dose delivery and treatment plan re-optimization.The proposed method in this study can effectively accumulate the HDR dose to the IMRT dose domain, and the accuracy is proved to be sufficient for clinical needs.
