Objective To explore optimal initial the best screening time for newborns with different delivery methods using AABR.Methods A total of 550 newborns who were born from August 1, 2016 to October 31, 2016 at our hospital participated in the study.AABR was used to accomplish the initial hearing screening. The newborns were divided into 2 groups according to the delivery methods. There were each 100 neonates born in vaginal during <24 h, 24~48 h and 48~72 h after birth, respectively. The numbers of neonates delivered by cesarean section during the 3 separate periods were 50, 100 and 100, respectively. The newborns who failed the preliminary hearing screening proceeded to the re-screening and diagnostic procedures. Results There were 300 newborns were born in vaginal, and the pass rate in 24~48 h after birth group was significantly higher than that in 24 h group (93.00% vs 83.00%,x2=4.735,P=0.03<0.05), but it was not significantly different from that of 48~72 h group (95.00% vs 93.00%,x2=0.355,P=0.56>0.05).There were 250 newborns in cesarean section, the pass rate of 24~48 h after birth group was significantly higher than that in 24 h group (83.00% vs 68.00%,x2=4.437, P=0.04<0.05), and significantly lower than that of 48~72 h group (94.00% vs 83.00%,x2=5.944, P=0.02<0.05).Conclusion Taking into account of hospitalization time, the screening time for the vaginal delivery newborn hearing screening can be advanced to 24~48 h after birth with the application of AABR, but not for the cesarean section group.

Fifteen cases with atrial myxoma in our hospital from May 2001 to Dec 2008 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients presented with a variety of symptoms mimicking mitral valve disease, including palpitation, shortness of breath and activity intolerance.Pulmonary and systemic embolizations occurred in three patients and sudden syncope in one.Radiograph and echocardiography can help to reveal atrial myxoma.Definite diagnosis was made based on histological examinations. In 6 months - 6 years'follow-up one case recurred.Surgical treatment should be prompted once diagnosis established.Tumor pedicle must be completely removed to prevent recurrence.

BACKGROUND: Smad7 is a major repressible protein in transforming growth factor β(TGF-β1) signal transduction pathway, which possess antifibrotic effects.OBJECTIVE: To construct rat Smad7 eukaryotic vector and to observe the mRNA expression level of TGF-β1, collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ in rat hepatic stellate cells (HSC)-T6 cell.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The gene recombination and cytology observation experiment was performed at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University School of Medicine.MATERIALS: pcDNA3.1 (+) plasmid was reserved in the laboratory. E coil DH5α was presented by Key Laboratory of Xinjiang Endemic and Ethnic Diseases, Shihezi University School of Medicine. The HSC T6 cell was provided by Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.METHODS: Rat Smad7 cDNA was cloned into eukaryotic plasmid pcDNA3.1(+) to construct Smad7/pcDNA3.1(+) plasmid and transfected it into HSC-T6 ceils by Lipofectmine 2000. The experiment was divided into normal control, empty vector and Smad7 transfected groups, and the positive cells were selected by G418.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The levels of Smad7, TGF-β1, collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ mRNA was detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction, respectively.RESULTS: Smad7 eukaryotic vector was successfully constructed and confirmed by endonuilease digestion and sequencing. Compared to the control and empty vector groups, Smad7 mRNA expression was significantly higher in Smad7 transfected group (P < 0.01 ); and TGF-β1 and collagen Ⅰ mRNA expression was notably reduced (P < 0.01). There was no statistically significant difference of the change of collagen Ⅲ mRNA expression among the three groups (P>0.05). The difference of Smad7, TGF-β1,collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ mRNA expression had no statistically significant between control and empty vector groups (P_(all) > 0.05)CONCLUSION: Smad7 eukaryotic expression vector is successfully constructed. The Smad7 gene can effectively expressed in transfected HSC-T6 cell, and decrease mRNA expressions of TGF-β1 and collagen Ⅰ.

Objective To observe levels of the serum albumin and their association with prognosis in children with hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) . Methods A total of 122 HFMD children admitted from 2011 to 2013 were selected and divided into three groups:common group (n=57), severe group (n=52) and critical group (n=13). Serum albumin levels, blood glucose levels, peripheral blood white cell counts of the children in the three groups were compared within 24 hours of admis-sion. Moreover, the incidence of hypoalbuminemia and mortality of the children were analyzed in each group. Results In critical group, serum albumin levels were signiifcantly decreased while blood glucose levels and peripheral blood white cell counts were signiifcantly increased than those in the severe group and common group, and the differences were all statistically signiifcant (all P<0.05). There were no signiifcant differences in serum albumin levels, blood glucose levels and peripheral blood white cell counts between severe group and common group (all P>0.05). There was no hypoalbuminemia and death in severe group and common group. The percentage of hypoalbuminemia and mortality of children in critical group were higher than those in the other two groups (all P<0.01). Conclusions The mortality was extremely high in children with critical HFMD. The decrease of serum albumin levels was a high risk factor for death in children with critical HFMD. Early and dynamic monitoring serum albu-min levels may be helpful in evaluation of disease condition and prognosis of HFMD.

This study aims to evaluate the ability of C-arm cone-beam CT to detect intracranial hematomas in canine models. Twenty one healthy canines were divided into seven groups and each group had three animals. Autologous blood and contrast agent (3 mL) were slowly injected into the left/right frontal lobes of each animal. Canines in the first group, the control group, were only injected with autologous blood without contrast agent. Each animal in all the 7 groups was scanned with C-arm cone-beam CT and multislice computed tomography (MSCT) after 5 minutes. The attenuation values and their standard deviations of the hematoma and uniformed brain tissues were measured to calculate the image noise, signal to noise ratio (SNR) and contrast to noise ratio (CNR). A scale with scores 1-3 was used to rate the quality of the reconstructed image of different hematoma as a subjective evaluation, and all the experimental data were processed with statistical treatment. The results revealed that when the density of hematoma was less than 65 HU, hematomata were not very clear on C-arm CT images, and when the density of hematoma was more than 65 HU, hematomata showed clearly on both C-arm CT and MSCT images and the scores of them were close. The coherence between the two physicians was very reliable. The same results were obtained with C-arm cone-beam CT and MSCT grades in measuring SD value, SNR, and CNR. The reasonable choice of density detection range of intracranial hematoma with C-arm cone-beam CT could be effectively applied to monitoring the intracranial hemorrhage during interventional diagnosis and treatment.

Moxibustion, which is simple for manipulation and effective, has always been a very important way for external treatment.Acupuncture and moxibustion were complementary to each other sincc ancient times.but modem people usually only pay attention to acupuncture and neglect the usage of moxibustion. In this paper the importance of moxibustion is expounded briefly.
