Objective To explore the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal cocoon. Methods This article retrospectively summarized clinical data of 6 cases of abdominal cocoon. Results All the 6 cases of abdominal cocoon were misdiagnosed preoperatively: 5 cases were diagnosed as having intestinal obstruction and 1 case,abdominal mass.Partial or total capsule resection was adopted in all the 6 cases,1 of which simultaneously underwent intestinal arrangement. Conclusions Abdominal cocoon is not specific,which is difficult to diagnose preoperatively.Upper digestive tract radiography,B-ultrasonography and CT scanning help to make the diagnosis.Partial or total capsule resection,intestinal arrangement,intestinal resection and release for intestinal adhesion are usually adopted as the treatment.

Objective To observe the effect of anxiety and depression on cell adhesion molecules and fibrolytic activity in cardiac-pacing patients. Methods The levels of plasma P-selectin, E-selectin, sICAM-1, vWF and PAI-1 were measured in 39 cardiac-pacing patients with anxiety or depression as rersearch group, 32 cases cardiac-pacing patients without any psychological problems as observation control group and 20 healthy subjects as normal control group. Result The levels of plasma P-selectin, E-selectin, sICAM-1, vWF and PAI-1 in cardiac-pacing patients were significantly higher than those in normal control group, and their plasma levels in the patients with anxiety or depression were significantly higher than those in the patients without psychological problems. Conclusion There were significantly elevated cell adhesion molecules level and decreased fibrolytic activity in cardiac-pacing patients. The anxety and depression status could aggregate this condition.

Objective To describe the clinical manifestation of the chronic atlantoaxial rotatory dislocation (AARD) with C1,2 lateral facets locked,and explore the effect of the operation combined with anterior retropharyngeal approach and posterior approach.Methods Data of 8 patients with chronic AARD with C1,2 lateral facet locked who had undergone open reduction with the anterior retropharyngeal approach and C 1,2 transpedicular screw fixation with autologous iliac bone graft from Oct.2010 to Jun.2013 were retrospectively analyzed.There were 4 males and 4 females with an average age of 31 years old (range,11-57 years old).The intervals from onset to diagnosis were from 29 to 180 days and the mean time was 70.6 days.5 cases were chronic AARD with right C1,2 lateral facets locked and 3 with left C1,2 lateral facets locked.Reduction was failed to obtain by traction for two to four weeks.Subsequently,after open reduction with the anterior retropharyngeal approach,the patients were performed C 1,2 transpedicular screw fixation with autologous iliac bone graft for one stage or two.Results 1 patient underwent open reduction with the anterior retropharyngeal approach in stage one and C1,2 transpedicular screw fixation in stage two because of an overall severe condition,and the other patients did anterior and posterior operation in one stage.The average operation time was 205 min (range,160-260 min).The mean blood loss was 210 ml (range,100-300 ml).There were no operation complications except one young girl reflected pain in autologous iliac donated area,and pain relieved when taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory by oral for one week.All patients had been followed up for a mean period of 14.8 months (range,5-37 months).Three-dimensional computed tomography revealed C1,2 arthrodesis bone graft fusion from two to four months and the average was 3.1 months.Neither recurrence of symptoms nor dislocation was observed at the latest follow-up.Conclusion Open reduction through the anterior retropharyngeal approach with C1,2 transpedicular screw fixation is an effective treatment strategy for chronical AARD with C1,2 lateral facets locked,which reduces surgical complications with less operation difficulty.

Objective To evalute the clinical significance of the Oblique view of three-dimensional ultrasonography(3DUS) in diagnosis of the fetal cavum septum pellucidum(CSP) malformation.Methods Thirty-eight cases of fetuses with the CSP malformation,found originally by trans-abdominal two dimensional ultrasonography(2DUS),were scanned using Oblique of trans-abdominal 3DUS.The results were compared with MRI inspection and post-natal follow-up.Results Thirty-eight fetuses suspected with 3DUS Oblique were fully confirmed by autopsy and MRI,the distribution of CSP malformation included:①Twenty-one cases with absence of septum pellucidum(ASP),among them 10 cases with isolates of septum pellucidum,1 case with septooptic dysplasia(SOD),10 cases with agenesis of corpus callosum(9 complete agenesis of corpus callosum and 1 partial agenesis of corpus callosum.②Twelve cases with shrinkage of them 9 simple shrinkage and 3 partial agenesis of corpus callosum respectively.③ Five cases with enlargement,all of which also with increasing sizes of cavum vergae.Thirty-five cases are consistent with MRI observations.The diagnosis consistency differences between both methods were not significant.Conclusions 3DUS Oblique view can reveal the structure of fetal cavum septum pellucidum and corpus callosum clearly,which enable more accurate prenatal counseling and boild firm base for further diagnosis.

AIM: To explore the effect and mechanism of preoperative transarterial chemoembolization on nephroblastoma.METHODS: Comparative analysis of clinical and pathological features in 39 children with Wilms’ tumor was conducted. TUNEL assay was used to detect the apoptosis of tumor in two groups with or without preoperative interventional treatment. The expressions of P53, Bcl-2 and Bax proteins were detected by immunochemical methods. AIM:To explore the regulation of lumbar physiological curvature by angulation traction and longitudinal rotation and the clinical significance of repairing spinal balance on lumbar disc herniation(LDH). METHODS:①Totally 71 patients with LDH diagnosed by CT at the 451 Hospital of Chinese PLA were enrolled from October 2005 to January 2006. Three-dimensional swirl angle program control restitution bed was applied. This bed was composed of fixing chest swirl section,magnetic heat lumbar flexure massage section and traction haunch angulation section with the pull strength of 20-90 kg. ②The patients were divided into experimental group(n =38) and control group(n =33). ③All patients of the two groups received supine genuflex traction for 20 minutes and combined with longitudinal rotation for 10 minutes. Patients in the experimental group received 20? traction from below lumbar to bed,while patients in the control group received plane traction combined with longitudinal rotation. ④Lumbar function was determined by criterion of the lumbar disease made by Japanese Shaping Association to observe improved indexes and times of treatment. Objective To explore whether the polymorphism of human frizzled 3 (rs2241802 ,rs2323019,rs352203) is associated with schizophrenia in Yunnan Han population. Methods PCR-RELP was used to detect the polymorphism of human frizzled 3 (rs2241802 ,rs2323019, rs352203 ) in 153 patients and 100 controls. All patients were evaluated with positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS). Following a linkage disequilibrium test in the 3 loci ,association analysis was carried out between the polymorphism, including haplotype,and schizophrenia in all samples. Results No significant difference of genotype and allele frequency of the 3 loci were observed in 2 groups. There was no difference in genotype and allele frequency of rs2241802 ,rs2323019,rs352203 in Han samples (P＞0.05) . The polymorphisms of the 3 loci had been observed no difference in case-sibling control study of normal group. A-A-C haplotype and G-A-C haplotype were observed with a higher frequency in both samples (P＜0.05). There was no difference in patients and controls in PANSS scores (P ＞ 0.05 ). Conclusions There is no association between polymorphisms of human frizzled 3 ( rs2241802, rs2323019, rs352203 ) and schizophrenia in Han. A-A-C and G-A-C haplotype might possibly associate with schizophrenia in Yunnan Han population.

Objective To systematically evaluate the association between lactotransferrin(LTF) gene rs1126478 polymor‐phism and caries susceptibility .Methods The published literatures on the association between LTF gene rs1126478 polymorphism and caries susceptibility were retrived from the electronic databases of Pubmed ,Web of science ,Embase ,EBSCO ,Springerlink , CNKI ,VIP ,Wanfang and CBM by computer .The pooled odds ratios (ORs) and its 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were used as the effect indicators .The statistical analysis was performed by using the RevMan 5 .2 and Stata 12 .0 softwares .The bias evalua‐tion and sensitivity analysis were also performed .Results A total of 5 case‐control studies involving 720 cases and 412 controls were included .The meta analysis results showed that no statistical significance in the association between LTF gene rs1126478 pol‐ymorphism and caries susceptibility was revealed in all four genetic models (GG+ AG vs .AA :P= 0 .75 ,OR= 0 .93 ,95% CI=0 .59-1 .46 ;G vs .A :P=0 .88 ,OR=0 .97 ,95% CI=0 .68 -1 .38 ;GG vs .AA :P=0 .84 ,OR=1 .07 ,95% CI =0 .57 -1 .99 ;GG vs .AG+AA :P=0 .52 ,OR=1 .12 ,95% CI = 0 .79-1 .58) .Similarly ,the subgroup analysis by ethnicity showed no statistical sig‐nificance in the onset risk between Caucasian and Asian populations as well (both P>0 .05) .Conclusion The LTF gene rs1126478 polymorphism may have no relation with the susceptibility to caries .
